Dr. Whitney and Nick Forsythe and the Mount Vernon Smile Design team are committed to both dental excellence and serving the Skagit Valley community. They are a tight-knit group that all truly enjoy going to work every day.

Dr. Nick Forsythe grew up in Marysville, WA, where he played basketball and football for Marysville Pilchuck High and eventually went on to play basketball and study biology at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma. After college, Dr. Nick earned his Master of Arts in Biomedical Sciences from Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona, and continued on at the Midwestern University School of Dentistry. While in school, Nick met and fell in love with his wife and co-owner, Whitney!

Dr. Whitney Forsythe is originally from a small town in Northeast Kansas (Wizard of Oz jokes are welcomed). She met her husband, Dr. Nick, while attending Midwestern University Dental School in Arizona, where a dental class barbecue turned into dating, which led to a marriage, and finally a joint dental practice! While she misses the sun and her family, she has absolutely fallen in love with the Pacific Northwest!

Tristin is one of our awesome hygienists! She works hard to provide the best dental care and enjoys educating her patients on their oral health. Above all, she cherishes the relationships she has formed with her patients over the years. She has especially enjoyed watching families grow throughout the 20+ years she has worked in the practice. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, Davis, Maren, and Emmett - all teenagers now!

Judy is another one of our wonderful dental hygienists! She has lived in Skagit Valley most of her life and married her high school sweetheart, Kevin. They have two wonderful children together, Breona and Brandon. Judy believes in preventive dentistry and focuses on individually caring for each patients unique dental needs. Shes often found giving huge hugs in the hallway and chatting away with patients about new developments in their lives. She loves working in an office that focuses on a personalized approach and a fun atmosphere! Outside of work, she enjoys gardening, reading, camping, and spending time with her family and friends.

Judy is one of our awesome dental hygienists! She started her hygiene career in 2001 and hasnt looked back since! She has lived in Skagit County since the age of two and loves the close-knit community. Judy truly cares about her patients; her favorite part about her job is seeing patients come back with improved oral health after working with them! Her and her husband, Don, have a blended family with 6 adult children between them and 3 grandkids! They are also excited to be adding two new puppies to the mix! In their free time, Judy and her husband enjoy golfing and traveling to their home in Arizona.

Kristi is our amazing dental assistant, aka our right-hand gal! She grew up right here in Mount Vernon and has been at this office for 31 years! She truly strives to make each patient feel comfortable and educated so they are at ease in the chair. Her favorite part about her job is getting to hear each patients history and the lifelong friendships shes formed through working here! She and her husband, Barry, have raised a blended family, three daughters, and a son. They also have 6 grandchildren! In her spare time, Kristi loves boating, fishing, and crafting.

When you're in our office you'll see Holly doing many different things to ensure the management of the office is running smoothly and efficiently. Holly's favorite part of her job is hanging out with her co-workers and getting to know all of the best produce stands and restaurants. She recently moved to the Pacific Northwest from the high alpine desert of Colorado to enjoy the lushness and beauty surrounding us every day. She settled down in Fairhaven with an incredible view of the bay and spends most of her Sundays on her deck working on crossword puzzles! She also loves playing tennis, taking walks with her family, finding new restaurants, and going sightseeing. One of her favorite places is Skagit Valley, although she is the first to admit that she spends way too much time at Christianson's Nursery, but she just can't stay away! She loves to explore with her VW camper and her dog Bodhi--who love walks.

Amy is a fantastic addition to our team at Mount Vernon Smile Design. She loves ensuring things are clean, in fact, she finds it satisfying and rewarding. With Amy around, our patients can rest assured our office is sterile and in tip-top-shape when it comes to cleanliness and safety. She grew up in Burlington and loves paddle boarding, camping, hiking, painting, and being a member of the Young Life Youth Group. Her favorite thing about her job is the people she works with and learning new things.

Annabelle assists our office in a variety of duties, always ensuring help is provided when and where it's needed. She was born and raised in Skagit Valley and lives on Big Lake. She graduated from Sedro Woolley High School and then attended Northwest Career and Technical Academy post-graduation. She loves being an assistant because she gets to do a little bit of everything while working with the best people! In her free time, she likes to babysit, a passion she nurtured as a nanny for the past five years. She also loves being home on the weekends to relax or take a hike through the beautiful trails of the Pacific Northwest.

Mount Vernon Smile Design is friendly, caring and very professional from the front office to Dr. Nick in the back. Everything is very high tech and that makes for a good dental experience. This place is awesome. What more can I say.

I had an amazing experience. The hygienists and Dentists were so nice and actually explained things instead of just snapping at me to floss more and leaving it at that. I will definitely be referring people and returning for all my dental work from now on.

My daughter absolutely loved the dentist after her visit. She was absolutely terrified to go to her previous dentist. The staff was so kind and helped ease her anxiety. She is even looking forward to her next visit! Definitely not something I could say about her previous dental experience.

Best dentist I've ever been to, the people here are so kind and every experience I'd had with them was just more proof of how amazing they are!! They're very understanding of any sensitivities someone might have about their teeth, made me feel the most comfortable I've felt in any dental office (even when getting fillings done), and go above and beyond for their patients. The people here care genuinely for their patient's dental health, and it really shows! I'd recommend them to anyone, and have to anyone I know in the area because even if like me you dread going to the dentist, every dentist I met here made the experience much better. After moving to a new area, I miss being able to go to this office for any dental stuff because they're that perfect! :) And they give great advice!

The most friendly Dental Office I have ever visited. The ladies in the reception area were so nice, to Judy, the dental hygienist, who explained everything like no other! Dr. Nick gives you a very warm welcome, answered all the concerns I had regarding my dental plan moving forward. They truly treat you like family! Give them a call, you wont be disappointed!

I love the people in this office. I have been to many dentists in my 78 years and even worked in a dental office. From the front desk to the dentists, everyone is kind and caring. Dr. Whitney does amazing crowns that actually match your teeth. The hygienists are wonderful. I can't recommend them enough.

Our office uses intraoral digital scanners to create a highly detailed 3D model of your teeth. The resulting 3D surface model is the virtual, time efficient, and safe alternative to traditional plaster models.

In her free time, Dr. Whitney enjoys spending time with her husband, their sweet daughter, Palmer, and their adorable Cavachon, Cooper. As a newcomer to the Pacific Northwest, she has enjoyed exploring the many beautiful hiking spots Washington has to offer and checking out the local eateries. She is thrilled to be a part of the Mount Vernon community!

In his spare time, Dr. Nick enjoys hiking and discovering new restaurants with his wife, their daughter, Palmer, and their dog, Cooper. He is excited to call the Pacific Northwest home and serve the Mount Vernon Community.
