We would want our dentist to see us as individuals and to get to know us personally. We would want our dentist to acknowledge what is important to us and respect us as a person. We wouldnt want to be taken for granted, even years into the relationship. We would want our dentist to have genuine concern for our comfort before, during, and after our treatment. Our teeth are the only ones we will ever have and are an integral part of our overall health. Therefore, we would choose a dentist who could provide us with the highest level of care. We would appreciate someone who is painstakingly accurate in all the details of our treatment.
Since obtaining the practice, we have implemented several systems that strive to meet the best practice guidelines to better serve our patients. For example, we now offer digital intraoral x-rays including digital panoramic x-rays. We truly try to tailor x-ray frequency to each individuals needs versus on a strictly regimented schedule. We have also invested in new sterilization equipment ensuring proper infection control techniques.
Mossmann Family Dental was established in 2007. The practice was purchased from an existing family of dentists who practiced in South Lancaster for approximately 20 years before moving to Maine. They too had acquired the practice from a dentist who practiced in this location for approximately another eighteen years prior! We continue to serve many of the same patients who came here as children to their original dentist, Dr. Klouzek.
Dr. Mossmann was born and raised in Massachusetts. He grew up in Lynnfield, Massachusetts and attended St. Johns Preparatory school. After high school, he received his Bachelors of Arts in Psychology at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. Then he attended Boston University to complete his pre-dental studies. Finally, Dr. Mossmann completed his education at the University of Michigan, where he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery.
Dr. Mossmann met his wife, Leah, while working at a group practice in Northampton, MA. They purchased Mossmann Family Dental, P.C., in 2007 and continue to work together making this a true family practice! They share a passion for dentistry. Outside of work, their interests include taking care of their many animals, hiking, kayaking and spending time with family and friends.

Lovely staff. In and out for my cleaning quickly but felt like they took their time to ensure all my questions were answered. Love the texting communication, especially since I was on the waiting list for a cancellation . Super efficient!

My experience at Mossmann Family Dental today was fun and productive. I had a great dental hygienist who was tender, gentle and efficient. The whole team is great to work with. The Dentist, Dr. Mossmann is also gentle and careful. The atmosphere is relaxing with birds outside large light filled windows, fish tanks with fish gently swimming around. A beautiful Poodle will sometimes be there to say hello. I highly recommend them.

My wife and I have been patients since we moved to Lancaster, and I would recommend this office to anyone without reservations. Leah and Michael Mossmann are excellent at what they do.

I'm very happy at Mossman Family Dental. From Heather, Katelyn, Leah and Dr. Mossman, himself, everyone has made sure that I'm as comfortable as possible. Everyone is friendly and personable, and Dr. Mossman answers every question on any issue I may have. The office couldnt be any cleaner or more sanity! I'm lifer with MFD. P.S. I've forgotten the other gentleman in the office's name.

I have such a hard time getting to the dentist. The fear I feel is so paralyzing, but Mossmann Family Dental is so incredibly patient. They listen to your concerns, and work with you kindly and calmly to ensure you have the most positive experience possible. I have had multiple cavities taken care of by Dr. Mossmann and have never had a bad experience even though I'm so afraid of the dentist. My whole family goes here and they all love their ability to be so warm and welcome as well as professional. Highly recommend for all ages!

I continue to feel very comfortable with Doctor Mossman and his staff! He is fair and tries real hard to please but makes sure he does what he needs to do when it comes to taking care of my teeth. I recommend him to everyone who mentions that they need a dentist and will continue to do so.

I had such a great experience here. Everyone was so kind and attentive. I had the most gentle cleaning I've ever experienced which I greatly appreciated as someone who is nervous about going to the dentist. I even got to play with their puppy and kittens which made my whole day! I will definitely be recommending this practice to everyone!

Great family practice!! My family and I have been coming here for years and are very happy. It speaks volumes that my 7 y/o son LIKES to go to the dentist because Leah and staff make the whole experience so much FUN!
