I love the aesthetic aspect of orthodontics. I take great pride in seeing patients years after treatment and they continue to have great smiles. It is extremely rewarding to see the changes we make in peoples lives as they become more comfortable with themselves and their smiles. We believe we do so much more than change smiles; we change lives.

One of the greatest benefits of living and working in rural Wyoming is getting to know my patients and seeing them outside the office. It really makes me feel like our work makes a difference in the community, and its a great thing to be a part of.

I attended Ricks College, where I was a member of the baseball team and recognized as a Distinguished Academic All-American. After that Iattended Idaho State University, and graduatedwith highest honors with aBachelor of Sciencein zoology.

I began my dental training at Creighton University School of Dentistry, where I graduated summa cum laude and was accepted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon honorary dental fraternity. I also received the American Association of Orthodontists Award for Exceptional Interest in the Development of the Oro/Facial Complex.

I completed my orthodontic training at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, and earnedmy Master of Science in oral biology with a thesis entitled The effects of static andimpulseloading on the disc of the Temporomandibular Joint(TMJ).

I am originally from Blackfoot in southeast Idaho, and love the life Ive built here in Cody. I was fortunate enough to fool my high school sweetheart into marrying me in August 2005. Bobbi is a cowgirl who enjoys riding horses and following our kids to their many events.

We have been blessed with five fantastic children. Bridger is our all-state musician. He is a great student and we love to hear him play his saxophone and guitar throughout our home. McKayla is very active in soccer, basketball, and running. We enjoy following her and watching her compete. Chance is wicked smart and kind to everyone. He enjoys baseball, football, and basketball. Conner is as determined as a bulldog. He enjoys baseball, football, soccer, and basketball. Reagan is our princess. She is learning to read and loves to be the center of attention.

When not working, I can be found coaching my kids or watching them compete or perform, hunting, and cooking on the Traeger. We also raise cattle, which provides some good chores for the kids and instills a sense of responsibility in them.

No. All orthodontists must be licensed to practice, but at this time only 1 in 3 orthodontists have continued on to complete Board Certification. The American Board of Orthodontics (ABO) certification process signifies a unique achievementa significant step beyond the two to three years of advanced education required for a dentist to become a specialist in orthodontics. The process requires the orthodontist to demonstrate actual accomplishments in patient care with detailed case reports on the treatment provided for a broad range of patient problems. Board certification is a voluntary achievement that all orthodontists do not choose to pursue. In order to become board certified by the ABO, an individual orthodontist is thoroughly interviewed by a highly respected panel of examiners to demonstrate their orthodontic knowledge, clinical skills and judgment.

One. The American Board of Orthodontics (ABO) is the only certifying board in the specialty that is recognized by the American Dental Association. The ABO was founded in 1929 and is the oldest specialty board in dentistry. The boards purpose is to elevate the quality of orthodontic care for the public by promoting excellence through certification, education and professional collaboration.

Successful completion of the examination process demonstrates the orthodontists highest commitment to excellence in orthodontics to both the orthodontic profession and the general public. It represents a commitment by a licensed specialist that he/she has the necessary knowledge base and skills to treat patients to the highest of standards. It exemplifies a practitioners commitment to continue to keep abreast of the latest advances in patient care, and to continue to deliver these latest advances to patients. Many orthodontists see it as a demonstration of their dedication to the specialty and the highest level of personal achievement.

Since the establishment of the ABO in 1929, the certification process requirements have continued to adjust to the demands of the specialty. Today, the process involves a thorough Written Examination (240 questions) covering all areas of information which an orthodontist should be knowledgeable. Successful completion of this board exam allows the orthodontist to proceed to the Clinical Examination where they present detailed case reports from their practice/residency, demonstrating a history of excellence in patient care. These cases are evaluated by a panel of examiners and later discussed during an oral examination where the applicant is tested on a wide variety of academic and clinical topics. After successful completion of these examinations, the orthodontist has officially achieved Board Certification, for a time-limited period. The orthodontist must go through Certification Renewal every 10 years to maintain their certification status by demonstrating this continued level of patient care.

We recognize that all our patients are unique and deserve to receive orthodontic care that reflects their individual needs. Our experienced and talented team is committed to working with you and your family to create a comfortable, stress-free, and rewarding orthodontic experience every time you visit our practice.

Its amazing to see how changing a person's smile can make them more confident and outgoing. I love being a part of that process. I help patients during visits to understand what's going on with their treatment. I also assist Dr. Moss with various procedures and work in our onsite lab making retainers and appliances.

Assisting Dr. Moss and getting to know our patients is my favorite part about my job. Being able to be a part of the straightening process from start to finish, especially in severe cases, is very rewarding. Not only do I get to see the process start to finish, I also help our patients understand what is going on in their mouths. I help Dr. Moss get a better idea of what is going on by taking x-rays, impressions and pictures. I am also very good at helping our patients pick their colors for their braces when that time comes too!

For most people, achieving a healthy, beautiful smile is the reason for receiving orthodontic care. If you're self-conscious about your smile, correcting your concerns with braces will greatly improve the way you look and feel.

When your treatment is complete, you will have the smile you've always dreamed of and the confidence to show it off! We also want you to feel comfortable and confident throughout your entire orthodontic experience, and our practice is dedicated to making sure that you receive the quality care you deserve.

Orthodontic appliances are made of metal, ceramic, or plastic. They may be removable or they may be brackets bonded to the teeth. By placing a constant, gentle force in a carefully controlled direction, braces slowly move teeth to the proper position.

Gone are the days when a metal band with a bracket was placed around each tooth. You can now choose clear or metal brackets and, in some cases, the color of your appliance. Wires are far less noticeable, and the latest materials are designed to move teeth faster with more comfort. Today, any age is a great age to wear braces!

Treatment time varies and can last between one and three years, depending on several factors including age, treatment method, and how minor or severe your case is. A big factor in a successful treatment is you! The more involved and diligent you are, the more efficient your treatment will be. For children, receiving interceptive or early treatment can also help provide a quicker treatment time.
