Moscow Family Dentistry opened in 2005 when Dr. Benjamin Bowen purchased the practice of Dr. Richard George. In 2011, Dr. Bowen bought Dr. James Garretts practice and expanded Moscow Family Dentistry.
Benjamin Bowen grew up in Moscow, attended both Walla Walla College and the University of Idaho for his undergraduate education and received his dental training at the Loma Linda School of Dentistry. After graduating in 2005, Ben moved back to Moscow, purchased the practice of Dr. Richard George and began his private practice. In 2011, Ben purchased Dr. Garretts practice and expanded Moscow Family Dentistry.
Ben lives in Moscow with his wife Stacey and their three children. When hes not in the office, Dr. Bowen likes to spend time with his children, fly airplanes (both models and the real thing) and find any excuse he can to spend time in the outdoors.

Great conversation, ironically since I can't talk a whole lot while getting work done on my teeth haha. Very genuine gals though, made me feel comfortable even if I struggle with my teeth maintenance. Highly recommend, they're very flexible and understanding no matter what it's about; hygiene anxiety, appointment scheduling, etc.

I was in great pain.... +12 on a scale of 1-10. The staff were able to get me in to see Dr. Bowen and he was willing to stay late, miss part of his class and care for me. They all were a team that rescued me in a very difficult time.

So no lie, things seemed pretty shaky for a bit and I was worried about what was going on. There weren't even any hygienists left there after awhile and the dentists were doing the basic stuff right up to the cleanings. Dr. Erickson eventually departed which was concerning. Dr. Bowen has survived however, and continues onward. Since I used to see his former partner, I'm not too familiar with him, but he is friendly and seems competent. Reminds me a lot of Johnny Depp's character Captain Jack Sparrow. You can tell he's been through a lot lately too just like Captain Jack must have gone through to become who he is. It does make the experience entertaining, and the 3 visits I've made in the last couple months for implant crowns have never been dull. For instance, I think it's awesome that my dentist has no problem coming in wearing overalls. LOL! Love it! As Sparrow once said and I'm sure Dr. Bowen would agree - "Not all treasure is silver and gold, mate!"

Dr. Bowen was professional and took the time to explain everything that was going on with my teeth. He outlined preventative measures and was conservative in his treatment plan, which I appreciated. His staff were helpful, efficient, and knowledgeable. You can trust that you are getting a high level of care. I would recommend this office to anyone.

I was pleasantly surprised to find an atmosphere of kindness, patience and professionalism here. Another wonderful thing - they provide their own co-op dental insurance.
