Dr. Mittelsteadt founded our dental practice in 1987. He received his dental training at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry and the University of Vermont Medical Center. Dr. Mittelsteadt served as an associate professor at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry and has continued working with students at the Union Gospel Mission in St. Paul and as part of St. Olaf Colleges annual medical mission to Peru.
Dr. Mittelsteadt completed Advanced Dentistry Training at the University of Vermont Medical College. He is also an Associate Professor at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in the area of diagnosis and radiology.
Dr. Mittelsteadt is Chairman of the Hope Dental Board of Directors and is a Co-Founder of Andean Community Partners. He is also currently leading a collaborative between Prince of Peace Dental mission and Mosaic Dental. Previously, he served as Chairman of the Union Gospel Mission Board of Directors (6 years).
Recently, Dr. Mittelsteadt wasrecognizedby Minneapolis St. Paul magazineand wasnamed to their Dentist Hall of Fame.He has also been recognized by St. Olaf College and wasnamedthealumniof the year forOutstanding Service.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Mittelsteadt and his wife Lisa havethree grown boys and haverecently moved to Minneapolis, bringing their 'new' very old home back to health.Not ones to let much grass grow under their feet, renovatingtheir very old homeandenjoyingtheir favorite activitiesofbicycling and hikingseems to fill up much of their free time.
Dr. Mittelsteadt and his wife Lisa have been active in District 196 and have been honored as friends of Eastview High School. Their three sons are no longer in the district, but they have continued working with students in need.
Dr. Solberg received a B.S. degree in Biology from the University of Wisconsin and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Minnesota. He received an AEGD (residency) certificate from Idaho State University where he was able to train extensively under Surgeons to become skilled in procedures including placement of Dental Implants, Wisdom Tooth Removal, Oral and IV conscious sedation, atraumatic tooth extraction, gum and bone surgery and bone grafting.
Dr. Solberg went on to complete a 1-year full-time Implant Fellowship at Southern Illinois University. He also received his status of Master of the College of Sedation in Dentistry (MaCSD) from the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology and status of Fellow in the International Congress of Oral Implantology (FICOI).
Dr. Solberg is originally from Eden Prairie and currently resides in Prior Lake with his wife Brooke and their 2 children. They have dogs of their own and enjoy fostering dogs for rescue organizations. They love to travel, with one highlight being a journey to Guatemala for a dental service trip. He can typically be found with family and friends, enjoying the outdoors by hiking, gardening, skiing or playing various sports.
My long-term career goal is to become a missions dentist and provide care to the less fortunate in different parts of the world. I have served on several trips to Guatemala, Panama, and Costa Rica, and I hope to continue with as many as I can.
Dr. Tran was born and raised in Bloomington, Minnesota. She now resides in St. Louis park with her husband and two dogs, Speedy, a Jack Russell, and Honeybee, a Whippet. In her free time, Dr. Tran loves to travel. She has backpacked through Japan, Thailand, China, Inner Mongolia, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau. Recently, Dr. Tran and her husband have taken up beekeeping as a hobby. This season (summer 2021) they have collected almost 15 gallons of honey from their hives!

Dr. Mitesteadt is the absolute BEST. He is always patient with me (I am a baby when it comes to going to the dentist). He knows I get anxiety and he takes his time to walk through things as he's doing them, and he is very gentle! He cares about me as a person and makes me feel valued. Dr Mittelsteadt is absolutely amazing Dr!! Couldn't ask for a better Dr!!! All the other Drs I came in contact with there are awesome too!!! But, what really makes it bad, is when you have an office person (Tammy) talk down to you!!! My question is, how many customers does she really do that too without customers actually saying anything?? As I was waiting in the lobby to see Dr Mittelsteadt, Tammy came out to the guy and was talking to him about me! Wow! Unacceptable in the public eye!!! I will never want to come in contact with her again if I continue coming to this dentist office!!

I had been going to the same dental office my whole life and I recently switched to Mosaic because it's much closer to my house. The staff and Dr. Tran are wonderful, friendly, thorough, and took the time to explain everything to me. Today was my consultation and first visit, but I was very happy with how it went.
