I was born and raised in the South Hills of Pittsburgh where my parents instilled the values of the Golden Rule and helping others in my sisters and me. I am grateful to my wife, parents, family, and mentors for providing me with the support and opportunity to become an orthodontist.

I am a graduate of Baldwin High School, Bethany College, and the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. Upon graduation from dental school, I was inducted into the prestigious dental honorary society, OKU. I completed a general practice residency at Montefiore Hospital in Pittsburgh, during whichI focused on surgical orthodontics. Finally, I completed my orthodontic residency at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine.

I have been married to my best friend and wife for more than 30 years. We have three adult sons and a dog. When Im not at work, I enjoy family time, cooking, cycling, running, traveling, and being with friends.

I was born in Taiwan and grew up in the Bay Area in sunny California. My parents provided my siblings and I the opportunities they never had. They taught me to work hard, strive for excellence, and never forget those whove helped me along the way.

After high school, I went onto pursue higher education at UCLA and the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. Upon graduation of dental school, I was inducted into the prestigious honorary dental society, OKU. After dental school graduation, I completed a general practice residency with the Veteran Affairs at Mare Island, California. After which I worked for a year in general dentistry. I then returned to Pittsburgh to study for my orthodontic certificate and master of dental science degree at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. I am also board certified with the American Board of Orthodontics.

My husband and I met during dental school. He is the greatest supporter and best friend in my life. We currently have a scaredy cat, Max, but we hope to expand our family with children and a dog in the near future. During our free time, we enjoy cooking, spending time with friends and family, and being outdoors.

We recognize that all our patients are unique and deserve to receive orthodontic care that reflects their individual needs. Our experienced and talented team is committed to working with you and your family to create a comfortable, stress-free, and rewarding orthodontic experience every time you visit our practice.

I have worked with Dr. Mortimer since 2012: originally at the front desk, and now as our office manager! While we all love to laugh, we also work hard to ensure our patients achieve the highest quality of results possible. Its wonderful to meet so many patients and their families, and watch as they grow over the years they are in treatment.

I am one of the first faces that greet you when you walk into our Murrysville and Penn Hills offices. A resident of Plum, I have been with Dr. Mortimer since 2004, and have more than 30 years of experience in dentistry. The best part of working here is seeing the changes our patients undergo throughout treatment and watching their confidence soar!

I am a certified orthodontic assistant and joined the Mortimer team in 2017. We all work really hard but still manage to have fun and laugh. My favorite part of my job is debanding! I love seeing the joy and excitement in our patients when they get their braces off and admire their new smile for the first time.

I am engaged to my boyfriend/best friend of ten years. Together, we enjoy camping, fishing, and hunting at our camps in Tionesta and Pymatuning Lake. We love spending time with our family and friends, attending concerts, and going to Pirate and Penguins games.

I have worked alongside Dr. Mortimer since 1993, to assistwith patient care and make connections with our patients and parents in the community. I love chatting with them, becoming friends, and seeing how much the kids grow and change in just a few years. I love being a part of the Mortimer Orthodontics family!

I work with Dr. Mortimer on our patients, help to prep the teeth for brackets, change archwires, and make sure patients are comfortable during treatment. I joined Mortimer Orthodontics in 2006 and love working here. Dr. Mortimer is a very good boss and all of the ladies are like family. We work hard, but have fun!

I have been with Mortimer Orthodontics since 2005 and have worked in the dental field for more than 35 years. In my time here, Ive enjoyed meeting so many new patients and making them feel at ease. We have a great time at work and love spreading that joy to our patients.

I am married and have 3 grown daughtersand 4grandchildren. I enjoy spending as much of my time with them as possible. I also enjoy concerts, spending time outdoors, and shopping at antiques shops and craft festivals.

I am married and we have two young adult sons, Austin & Isaac and two dogs named Harper and Groot. I love spending time with my family! We spend a lot of our weekends at our cabin in Confluence enjoying the outdoors. We also love going to the beach.

I have been working for Dr. Mortimer since December 2018,the start of my orthodontic career. I love working hands on with patients and getting to know them during their time in treatment. Seeing their big smiles at the end of treatment is the best!

I have been working for Mortimer Orthodontics since January, 2020. I'm also attending school part-time to continue with my Business Degree. I have 2 border collies and love camping, hiking and spending time with friends.

I joined the Mortimer Orthodontics team in July of 2021. I previously worked in a general dentistry practice. I enjoy meeting new patients and learning new skills as a dental assistant! Im married and have a two young children that like to keep me on my toes.

I joined the Mortimer Orthodontics team in February 2021. I love working with new patients everyday. I love being able to talk, laugh, and learn about patients as they go through the treatment process.

I grew up playing soccer with my 2 sisters Sarah and Emily, and we all are previous patients of Dr. Mortimer. I still play soccer today but spend most of my time hiking, playing video games, and anything that involves Star Wars or Marvel.

Friendly staff. Clean office that runs on time. Plenty of parking. Great location. Despite every chair being full, we didn't feel rushed for time. Strong COVID policy in place.

Our experience with the entire staff was fantastic. We just moved to Pittsburgh and my daughter has braces. Dr. Mortimer and his team came highly recommended as the place to transfer her care. The staff is cordial, professional and action-oriented. Dr. Mortimer worked hard to ensure my daughter was comfortable with his style of care and his plan to deliver a great smile. Patrick M

Dr. Mortimer is very kind, and insanely intelligent. He's been practicing for more than 30 years and it's very evident; he's extremely knowledgeable and understandable when it comes to presenting you with all your different options. I'm lucky he's so close to me.

I was a patient of doctor Mortimer's when I was in high school between 2010-2011 with braces and a permanent retainer. Years later in 2018 I had joined the military and a dentist there had cut my retainer causing my front two teeth to space out. I came back home to the area and saw dr. Mortimer to see if he could fix this large new gap in my face he put braces back on and put in a new retainer fast and fixed all of my issues. Although there was an issue. Beings that I am active duty in the military I had tri care insurance which did not cover any cost or procedure outside of "Army Medicine", especially for a cosmetic procedure that wasn't really necessary, but was to me. When Dr. Mortimer found this out before any work was done he patted me on the shoulder and said "Don't worry about it I got you. Thanks for what you do." I was absolutely astonished and mind blown of his generosity and willingness to help some one. Dr.Mortimer treated me in high school and years later when I returned ,with in my mind, a terrible situation he took care of me. I will never see another orthodontist nor will I ever meet a man with such a passion for his work and helping others. I don't think he truly understood how much his act of kindness was appreciated. Don't go anywhere else for yourself or children except for this man. He will take care of you and never steer you wrong. Thanks again!

Dr. Mortimer's office provides such a warm and friendly environment. His staff takes time to thoroughly explain what is going to happen at each appointment so there are no surprises, and many of them have worked with him for 10+ years. Dr. Mortimer loves to joke around with his patients and always keeps your trip to the orthodontist exciting. I would highly recommend him to new patients, whether adult and child.
