I was born and raised in the South Hills of Pittsburgh where my parents instilled the values of the Golden Rule and helping others in my sisters and me. I am grateful to my wife, parents, family, and mentors for providing me with the support and opportunity to become an orthodontist.

I am a graduate of Baldwin High School, Bethany College, and the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. Upon graduation from dental school, I was inducted into the prestigious dental honorary society, OKU. I completed a general practice residency at Montefiore Hospital in Pittsburgh, during whichI focused on surgical orthodontics. Finally, I completed my orthodontic residency at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine.

I have been married to my best friend and wife for more than 30 years. We have three adult sons and a dog. When Im not at work, I enjoy family time, cooking, cycling, running, traveling, and being with friends.

I was born in Taiwan and grew up in the Bay Area in sunny California. My parents provided my siblings and I the opportunities they never had. They taught me to work hard, strive for excellence, and never forget those whove helped me along the way.

After high school, I went onto pursue higher education at UCLA and the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. Upon graduation of dental school, I was inducted into the prestigious honorary dental society, OKU. After dental school graduation, I completed a general practice residency with the Veteran Affairs at Mare Island, California. After which I worked for a year in general dentistry. I then returned to Pittsburgh to study for my orthodontic certificate and master of dental science degree at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. I am also board certified with the American Board of Orthodontics.

My husband and I met during dental school. He is the greatest supporter and best friend in my life. We currently have a scaredy cat, Max, but we hope to expand our family with children and a dog in the near future. During our free time, we enjoy cooking, spending time with friends and family, and being outdoors.

We recognize that all our patients are unique and deserve to receive orthodontic care that reflects their individual needs. Our experienced and talented team is committed to working with you and your family to create a comfortable, stress-free, and rewarding orthodontic experience every time you visit our practice.

I have worked with Dr. Mortimer since 2012: originally at the front desk, and now as our office manager! While we all love to laugh, we also work hard to ensure our patients achieve the highest quality of results possible. Its wonderful to meet so many patients and their families, and watch as they grow over the years they are in treatment.

I am one of the first faces that greet you when you walk into our Murrysville and Penn Hills offices. A resident of Plum, I have been with Dr. Mortimer since 2004, and have more than 30 years of experience in dentistry. The best part of working here is seeing the changes our patients undergo throughout treatment and watching their confidence soar!

I am a certified orthodontic assistant and joined the Mortimer team in 2017. We all work really hard but still manage to have fun and laugh. My favorite part of my job is debanding! I love seeing the joy and excitement in our patients when they get their braces off and admire their new smile for the first time.

I am engaged to my boyfriend/best friend of ten years. Together, we enjoy camping, fishing, and hunting at our camps in Tionesta and Pymatuning Lake. We love spending time with our family and friends, attending concerts, and going to Pirate and Penguins games.

I have worked alongside Dr. Mortimer since 1993, to assistwith patient care and make connections with our patients and parents in the community. I love chatting with them, becoming friends, and seeing how much the kids grow and change in just a few years. I love being a part of the Mortimer Orthodontics family!

I work with Dr. Mortimer on our patients, help to prep the teeth for brackets, change archwires, and make sure patients are comfortable during treatment. I joined Mortimer Orthodontics in 2006 and love working here. Dr. Mortimer is a very good boss and all of the ladies are like family. We work hard, but have fun!

I have been with Mortimer Orthodontics since 2005 and have worked in the dental field for more than 35 years. In my time here, Ive enjoyed meeting so many new patients and making them feel at ease. We have a great time at work and love spreading that joy to our patients.

I am married and have 3 grown daughtersand 4grandchildren. I enjoy spending as much of my time with them as possible. I also enjoy concerts, spending time outdoors, and shopping at antiques shops and craft festivals.

I am married and we have two young adult sons, Austin & Isaac and two dogs named Harper and Groot. I love spending time with my family! We spend a lot of our weekends at our cabin in Confluence enjoying the outdoors. We also love going to the beach.

I have been working for Dr. Mortimer since December 2018,the start of my orthodontic career. I love working hands on with patients and getting to know them during their time in treatment. Seeing their big smiles at the end of treatment is the best!

I have been working for Mortimer Orthodontics since January, 2020. I'm also attending school part-time to continue with my Business Degree. I have 2 border collies and love camping, hiking and spending time with friends.

I joined the Mortimer Orthodontics team in July of 2021. I previously worked in a general dentistry practice. I enjoy meeting new patients and learning new skills as a dental assistant! Im married and have a two young children that like to keep me on my toes.

I joined the Mortimer Orthodontics team in February 2021. I love working with new patients everyday. I love being able to talk, laugh, and learn about patients as they go through the treatment process.

I grew up playing soccer with my 2 sisters Sarah and Emily, and we all are previous patients of Dr. Mortimer. I still play soccer today but spend most of my time hiking, playing video games, and anything that involves Star Wars or Marvel.

If there was a negative star, I would have put that. Came VERY highly recommended from a friend. Staff was nice and professional though. Saw my oldest who needs 6 teeth pulled (because she has extra canines) and my youngest who will need the same. Oldest also has poor oral hygiene. We already knew that. But they called today to say they are refusing BOTH my kids. My daughter is terrified of needles. To give you an idea of my daughters irrational fear of needles, last time she was due for shots she hid under the doctors table, had to have 3 people hold her down, and I knew when the needle went in because I heard the scream out in the waiting room. We had to stay in the office an extra 15 minutes to make sure she didn't pass out. And she was 13!!! A pediatric dentist is the only one who will sedate her. The orthodontist won't see her because he needs her to see an adult dentist. So far, all this I can understand. But when we asked why he was refusing to see my younger child who had good oral hygiene, the secretary on the phone simply said 'I'm sorry. " Absolutely 0 explanation given. All this talk right out of the orthodontists mouth while we were there about "I love helping people. " and then openly refusin

** Editing my review due to a letter a received.*** I'm going from "highly recommend" to "if someone needs a local orthodontist and ask me if I know of any I may mention we went here and it was 'OK'" My son is a patient here. This office is great the entire staff is friendly and professional. He is always seen on time and we are out quickly ( not rushed). I received a nasty letter from the office because my son broke 4 brackets in the over a year he's been a patient. The tone of the letter was that of a parent reprimanding a disobedient child. Without getting into too many details( my initial draft was quite lengthy), I will say, I know what the policy is. These breaks were not all due to him eating things he's not supposed to(but I guess that doesn't matter because they didn't bother asking). I have no problem paying if that's what needs to happen, please charge me, but discuss it with me in person. I literally sit in the chair next to my son while they are working on him. Don't send a passive aggressive letter in the mail.

I am so amazed at the FANTASTIC customer service at Mortimer. I always had a feeling my lower retainer was wonky - it fit but always seemed to fit awkwardly. Well, I let Dr. Mortimer know and he took EXTRA TIME with me, was so ATTENTIVE and CONCERNED and he looked at it over and over again and said to the assistant (my apologies, her name escapes me - she was wonderful and super friendly as well!), please take impressions of her bottom teeth and we will order her ANOTHER RETAINER and this was at NO EXTRA COST! I was so pleased and also RELIEVED that i wasn't crazy haha because i always thought that my bottom retainer, while it did FIT.. it seemed off or for lack of a better word.. like i said earlier wonky . Dr. Mortimer is amazing. Always thought so from DAY ONE and all this experience did was solidify the fact that he IS indeed amazing.

Dr. Mortimer and his staff were extremely helpful, informative, and friendly. They made me feel comfortable, made sure I understood what they were telling me, and answered all of my questions with supporting information and the "why" behind the answers. I get the feeling that I am in great hands with the entire team.
