I've been told that an anterior open bite is arguably the hardest bite to fix and harder still to maintain. I had such a bite. Over the years, I consulted many professionals, but found no consensus on how best to treat it. Eventually, I decided on braces. But after two failed attempts with another orthodontist locally whom I will not name, I realized that his confidence and assertions had been baseless and misleading. Several years later, despite that bad experience, I decided to commit to braces once more, this time with Dr. Dan Stewart. From the outset, he was clear and upfront about the complex variables involved in treating an anterior open bite. He stressed that a successful outcome depended on our collaboration because once the braces were removed, the real challenge was how to keep my teeth in place. Dr. Stewart is the rare, thoughtful doctor who accepts that there is always more to learn, even from patients. I was gratified that he valued my prior knowledge and experience. In fact, he listened to a specific concern of mine regarding retention, incorporated it into his overall plan, and in the end thanked me for suggesting it. My treatment has now concluded, and I just had my one-year retainer check. Anyone who has dealt with an anterior open bite will appreciate knowing that my teeth today are in exactly the same position as they were the day the braces were removed one year ago. Fair Warning: Before embarking on braces, be sure to verify with a periodontist that you do not have unattached gingiva. In other words, that your gum tissue is thick enough to withstand the major repositioning of your teeth that occurs particularly with an anterior open bite. If not, as mine was not, be aware that braces will cause your thin gums to recede substantially. Take it from me, this is not a good thing and only gets worse over time. This should be an important consideration when addressing the long-term health of your teeth.

When visiting Dr. Stewart he was always able to make me feel very welcome and assured. He is a very relatable, jolly person that is much more than just your normal orthodontist. Dr. Stewart is willing to go the extra mile when making sure you are 100% happy with your smile. In my experience, he was extremely open to fine tuning my smile until it was absolutely perfect. Overall, I enjoyed visiting the orthodontist every now and then because I was able to see Dr. Stewart and talk and relate to him on several topics.

Receiving care from Dr. Stewart and his team is the most positive medical experience I have ever had, and that's saying something given I'm 68 years old and also worked in the medical field. Dr. Stewart leads his team by setting an example of high standard care, personal attention to each patient, having a positive healthy life view in every way, and encouraging his staff to be the best they can be professionally and personally (they encourage each other to exercise, eat healthy, etc.), always striving to improve. Getting braces at my age can be daunting, but this staff made me feel very comfortable and responded to all my concerns. I just completed my treatment, and I could not be happier with what I see in the mirror. The best unexpected part of my treatment though, is how much widening my palate decreased my sleep apnea symptoms of snoring and interrupted sleep. My family complained how loud I snored before, but now, my granddaughter will sleep with me again! Can't wait to have another sleep study done now....I may never need another mouth guard for sleep apnea and hopefully will never develop the need for a C-PAP (which I borderline needed prior to my orthodontic care/braces). Thank you for what you do Dr. Morrish, Dr. Stewart and team!

Our son had an underbite and tooth crowding. We were referred to Morrish Stewart for treatment and have nothing but amazing things to say about the customer service and treatment! I sincerely enjoyed my experience with Morrish Stewart Orthodontics. I went in for my free consult, and immediately knew this was the place I would be choosing for my treatment. I was a patient of Dr. Stewart's for almost three years. He was very friendly and informative. Anytime I went in to have an adjustment, he would inform me of what would be getting done and what to expect at my next appointment. The staff there have always been so kind and helpful as well! I am thrilled with the end result, my smile is everything I wanted and more. If you go with Morrish Stewart Orthodontics you will NOT be disappointed!

What can we say? The whole staff is always on time, always professional and corteous. Dr. Morris and Dr. Stuart have a deep knowledge of how to proceed on each case and a one of a kind relationship with their patients, especially when it comes to explaining to the young ones the procedure they need to undergo to and listen to how they feel about it before even starting. Our daughter' s case was complicated: crossed teeth, space between the incisors, narrow palate, and pronounced overbite. It took five years, but today we are celebrating her beautiful smile. Thank you, Morrish Orthodontics, without your knowledge and expertise it wouldn't have been possible!

Very rude thought the entire process. Also had multiple issues with the Invisalign I was given. I would not recommend, do yourself a favor and avoid it.

I am extremely happy that I was referred to Morrish Stewart. From my initial evaluation to my braces off day, Dr. Morrish and Dr. Stewart have been wonderful to work with. I have also been extremely pleased by their staff. Every member of their team works hard to give you the best smile! It has been a family affair as my three boys have also received treatment from them. My youngest has about another 1 1/2 years to go, but I know his smile will be perfect! If you are looking for an orthodonist, look no further- this is the one for you and your family.

Absolutely amazing staff. Very friendly, warm and welcoming. Our son is just beginning his ortho journey and will be having some major work done. They brought us in for an initial consult and went over everything we can expect with space for questions and understanding. He was not ready at that point for any ortho work but they wanted to track his growth and progress by a 6 month follow-up. We just went in for a 2nd 6th month appointment and again he's not quite ready so they scheduled another 6 month appointment. I love how we feel a part of their ortho family already and we are all looking forward to great care and service when the time is right. Highly recommend!

I cannot speak highly enough of the entire operation. My daughter needed quite a bit of work to get her smile to nothing less than perfect, and Morrish Stewart said with confidence they were the ones that could do it. It took 3.5 years, two times in braces, multiple appliances to reshape her jaw, expand her palate, and move teeth - without any kind of surgery or cutting. When I was a kid a job like this would have required surgery and breaking of bones. Morrish Stewart finished almost exactly when they predicted - held out a couple months for fine tuning of a single tooth - which we were glad they did, as it showed they wanted nothing less than perfection. The day the braces were off Dr. Stewart said he was very happy with the results, and that it was a textbook case - went absolutely perfect. There are few things that can be considered life changing - this was one of them. My daughter is now proud of her teeth - and will be happy to smile in front of people. Once again, this was truly was life changing - with no negative effects later on in life (ie. arthritis from broken jaw). The whole office - responsive, professional, personable, warm, great communicators, and are great at what they do. We are very happy that we chose them.

21 months ago I had crooked teeth and I thought in under two years I could look back and either be glad to have had braces or to continue to be self conscious about my smile... those two years would have gone by anyways, so I pulled the trigger. My dentist referred me to Morrish Stewart orthodontics and I was totally blown away by how accommodating, personable, and professional they have been during my time with them. I'm sad to be leaving their good company after getting to know Dr Stewart and his techs, but I'm beyond ecstatic to have such an amazing smile that I'm excited to show off.

Dr Morrish and his staff are beyond wonderful. Not only do they do great work, but they will find a way for you to afford it. I would recommend them to everyone! So today was the end of my ortho journey. Amazing doesn't even begin to describe the level of care excellence that the staff and doctors have. For the past 18 months my daughter (who is now 9) has been under Dr Stewart's care for her orthodontic treatment. We have been impressed with the doctor and staff since day one! The whole experience and transformation of her smile has been incredible. The talent and expertise of the doctor along with his warm and caring staff makes this orthodontist the BEST of the BEST! Yesterday phase 1 of her braces came to and end and it was "braces off day"! Her smile is beautiful and the confidence it has given her has her smiling from the inside out. 10 stars from me not just 5!

I previously had an unfinished braces treatment with another orthodontic office. I found Morrish and Stewart through my Aunt, and went in for a consultation. They got me set up with a new set of braces to replace the old ones from the other office and I just got them off yesterday and have never been happier with my smile!
