Dr. Fariba Sharifan received her Masters degree in Chemistry from Montclair University. Following her graduate studies, she completed her dental education at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (now Rutgers School of Dental Medicine), receiving her DMD degree in 1997. She subsequently completed the general practice residency program at Our Lady of Mercy Hospital in Queens, New York. In 1999, with a desire to serve her community, Dr. Sharifan acquired an existing dental practice in Newark, New Jersey. She converted it into a state-of-the-art facility that provides personalized, quality dental care to the city's residents. Dr. Sharifan is certified in a wide range of dental procedures as well as the administration of Botox and fillers. She is committed to continuing education and uses the most up to date techniques and technology in her practices. Her dedication to her patients led her to design and build this new, modern dental practice in Union, New Jersey, where she will continue to provide excellent dental care.

I'm over 50 and I had a root canal done. I've never had a dentist who is so good I didn't even feel the Novocain needle going in .they are the best .And I forgot to mention I'm a big baby.

Made an appointment to have a crown on my molar re-cemented. The dentist here by her own admission did not clean it out properly! I returned to the office to have it adjusted. After the Doctor finished grinding down my implants to make it fit, as I chew now the food diverts to my outer cheek. Imagine eating in public and having to constantly remove food from in between your cheek and your teeth!! Yes it's an embarrassing nightmare!!!! This crown was originally placed in my mouth with temp bonding 3 years ago along with my implants and fit perfectly. Now it is has been grounded down and is no longer functional. I'm out of more than $1200 plus the money that they charged for her to butcher up my crown. I'd like my money back!!! The whole experience has been effed up. Don't bother to respond with a cover up you know she did a botched up job!! What an unnecessary waste of time and more money.

Dr. Sharifan was amazing with my 11 and 7 year old. She was very gentle and patient with my kids and was carful to explain everything to them as she cleaned their teeth.

Dr. Lopez is a nice woman, however, everything I went in for she kept referring me to a oral surgeon for second opinion. They gave me a list to call and all of them are way out of my reach or they were too booked. I didn't understand if she was a dentist why did need a second opinion about something as simple as to remove a tooth or to give a root canal.

Visited two weeks ago. Dr. Lopez said I needed a new crown and they would call my insurance to verify coverage. No call for a week so I left voicemail requesting update. Two weeks have passed - still no call. I recommend you find another provider, as I will be doing. UPDATE: Office representative phoned me day after posting this review - go figure. Stated that she "did me a favor" and resubmitted coverage request. Then requested multiple times that I delete review. Needs remedial training in how to respectfully communicate with client.

Christina did a wonderful job cleaning my teeth. It was a very pleasant visit . I will be looking forward for my 6 month cleaning. I also would like to say Dr. Lopez did a great job today filling a cavity I didn't feel a thing. Wonderful job by everyone and the secretary I don't remember her name but a pleasure talking to very professional. Another pleasant visit to Morris dental . Dr.Lopez Christina and Hanna are terrific. They did a wonderful job with my needs and also took great care of my wife . Wonderful ladies

I recently brought my 86 year old father to this facility, and all I can say is AWESOME! Staff was very patient and professional. We arrive about 15 minutes early and they took him right in, explained throughly, my stepdad was so very pleased with his treatment(on the ride home that's all he talked about). It's so difficult to find doctors, yet alone a dentist that's patient and caring to elderly patients. My dad will soon have his new denturesThank you Morris Dental

I got a cleaning it was fast ... that wasn't my problem it was the dental hygienist/assistant for me. She was just rude and I was having such a blessed and good day so I didn't react like I would have plus I heard good things about the actual doctor so I didn't walk out or matched her energy like wanted. First, this my first time here so When I got called I let her know the receptionist still have my id and insurance card. Usually I get that back before being seen so I just wanted to make sure everything was okay. She rudely respond you can get that when you leave.* it's not about what you say it's about how you say it* Second, she said I'm going to take a picture of you and just snapped , that's rude. The picture came out with me talking asking "should I take my sunglasses off" and attempting to do so. She just had a rude vibe. I don't know maybe because I worked at Disney World, but I really expect exceptional customer service everywhere I go. Dr. Lopez though was nice and efficient .

This is the first time I have written a Google review for anyone, but it is deserving. I had nothing but great experiences while going to see Dr. Sharifan. Her team was great, and she did a great job explaining everything that she was doing and listening to what I had to say. She kept me calm during my appointments and answered all of my questions. After seeing many different dentists, I can say that Dr. Sharifan and her team are the best I have seen, and I will continue to go there and would highly recommend them to anyone!!!! ***UPDATE - Three years since writing this review, Dr. Sharifan and her staff sincerely care for their patients and set the bar high. I inherited terrible gums and have been to many doctors, scaling twice a year, and my prior doctor's practice was in an affluent area and highly recommended; he was a crook. He insisted I needed to have teeth pulled; he prescribed valium to take an hour before extracting. WHAT A MESS. I got sick in the office and passed out before sitting in the chair; after getting myself sorted, he put me in the chair and started to extract my tooth. My tooth did not want to move; the doctor started sweating, and the look on his face scared the heck out of me, and I fainted again. After this experience, I would rather have all my teeth pulled and wear dentures than go to another dentist - I am still with Dr. Sharifan and no longer fear going to the dentist. THANK YOU FOR RESTORING MY FAITH THAT HONEST, TALENTED, AND CARING DOCTORS ARE OUT THERE.
