Dr. Scott (as he is called in the office) grew up in Boise, graduating from Boise High School, the College of Idaho and the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. He and his wife, Dr. Maribel, started their dental practice in 1989. Dr. Scott has served as past president of the Southwest Idaho Dental Association and served seven years as secretary treasurer of the Idaho State Dental Association, in addition to his work on dental peer review boards and various committees. A firm believer in constantly improving his skills and knowledge, Dr. Scott has studied with renowned dental educators such as Dr. Frank Spear, Dr. John Kois and Dr. Carl Misch, and he maintains membership in various professional dental organizations. When not working, he enjoys road and mountain biking, skiing, playing guitar with his old high school band, and spending time with friends and family.
Dr. Maribel grew up in Panama City, Panama, where she obtained her first dental degree at the Universidad de Panama Facultad de Odontologia, followed by a three-year residency in dental public service in underserved regions of Panama. She later obtained her second degree at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 1989. She and her husband, Dr. Scott, started their dental practice in Boise in 1989. Dr. Maribel currently practices part-time and enjoys cycling, hot yoga, and spending time with friends and family, as well as being a highly accomplished cook and part-time culinary coach.
Taylor is our local office manager and vice president of operations at Kik Dental. She began her career with Kik Dental after graduating from CWI in 2015. She received her associate degree and has a background in dental assisting as well as administrative operations a position at which she excels. Taylors favorite thing about working in dentistry is the relationships she is able to cultivate with patients and serving them with blinding efficiency. Taylor was born and raised in Idaho, and in her free time, she enjoys reading books and spending time with her family.
Shayla is our lead dental assistant and director of hygiene operations. She is highly organized and manages all aspects of clinical operations. She graduated from Milan Institute in 2009, and her years of experience make her a favorite among our patients. Her favorite thing about working in dentistry is helping to put patients at ease, overcoming their dental anxiety and making their overall experience a great one! Shayla resides in Nampa with her husband and three children. In her time away from dentistry, she likes to host family barbeques and spend time with friends and family.
Rayna is a registered dental hygienist and supervises hygiene operations. Rayna graduated from Apollo College in 2007 and is passionate about helping patients understand the importance of good oral hygiene and its many impacts upon systemic health. Rayna resides in Boise with her husband and her son. In her time away from dentistry, she enjoys hiking with her dogs, Ruby and Ella, and riding her horse, Dex.
Kate is a registered dental hygienist, graduating from Apollo College in 2010 and joining our team in 2014. Her favorite thing about working in dentistry is patient education and providing a sensitive, compassionate approach to patient care. Kate is a Boise native and resides with her daughter, Jayde. Away from the office, Kate enjoys mountain biking, kayaking, camping, reading, and spending time with her family.
Logan is a registered dental hygienist and graduated from the hygiene school at Lane College in Eugene, Oregon. A native of Oregon, Logan fell in love with Idaho after a trip here and moved to Boise and joined our team in 2020. Logan loves forming great long-term relationships with her patients and working to provide excellent hygiene care. In her time away from dentistry, she enjoys backpacking, skiing and playing tennis.
