Dr. Mary Ann Lucero is a New Mexico native, born and raised in Albuquerque. She is the daughter of Tom and Mary Lucero, the eighth of nine children. Dr. Lucero attended St. Pius High School and graduated in 1979. Her Los Lunas dental practice, Morningstar Family Dental, opened in August, 2018 upon the retirement of Dr. Cecil Soto.
Dr. Lucero is a family-oriented practitioner who provides a warm, comfortable environment for the entire family. She is a gentle, conscientious dentist, committed to the highest quality dental care using state-of-the-art materials and techniques.
Dr. Lucero earned a BS degree in dental hygiene from UNM in 1986, and earned her DDS degree from the University of the Pacific (San Francisco, CA) in 1996. She has been a General Dentist for 22 years and her practice includes prosthodontics, endodontics, orthodontic (including Invisalign), and bleaching.
Melanie Soto Moya, a life-long resident of Valencia county and graduate from Los Lunas High School, recently received her degree from the University of New Mexico Division of Dental Hygiene. Melanie has worked in the dental field for over 14 years as a dental assistant and as an office manager for her father Dr. Cecil Soto. Melanie decided upon completion of Dental Hygiene school, to return to this great community to practice and is excited to provide great care to ALL who need it. Alongside Dr Lucero, and all the great staff at Morningstar Family Dental, she is thankful for you trusting us in your care.

i had a full service on my dental appointments...... everything was as good as it can get..... the dentest is no non-sense DR. very skilled and through many visits I never felt any pain at all...... i had quite a bit of work done & it all turned out fine. recommended Dentist !.

The staff are wonderful, helpful and caring. But that dentist does not make you feel heard or that your problems are important. She wouldn't hear what I was trying to say or barely let me talk without saying things like "as I already told you" or "like I already said" rushing through the conversation and not listening! I'm thinking I'm going to have to find another dentist which is sad cuz I really liked the staff!

Beast staff kind clean.Dentists are very fast and will safe your tooth if possible.Even before Corona virus they always put your safety first.I highly recommend for excellent work and the wounderful way you are treated .very clean and everyone is so respectful,and they really care about what is best for you .This office should be on t.v. for #1 .Oh if you are afraid of the dentist this is most definitely the place to go.Staff makes sure you are compfy and calm and the Dentist is so gentle this office helped me over come my fear.PLEASE IF YPUR NOT THRILLED ABOUT YOUR CURRENT DENTIST PLEASE GO TO THIS OFFICE I A SURE YOU THAT YOU WILL LOVE THEM AND SEND YOUR LOVED ONES AND FRIENDS.GOTEAM MORNING STAR.TY FOR THE EXCELLENT PROFESSIONALISM AND THE LOVE OF HELPING OTHERS .TY .
