Dr. Randal D. Morita has been creating beautiful smiles since 1982. He attended the University of Southern California and graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1976, a Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree in 1980, and a Certificate of Orthodontics in 1982.
Dr. Scott L. Morita loves making people smile! He is a local boy, born and raised in Hawaii! During his time in Hawaii, he went to Punahou School and worked as a Lifeguard for the City and County of Honolulu. Like his father, Randal D. Morita, he also attended the University of Southern California where he received a bachelors degree in biology, a Doctorate of Dental Surgery, Masters in Craniofacial Biology, and Certificate in Orthodontics. Dr. Scott has received advanced training in the newest orthodontic technologies including Invisalign, ceramic braces, mini-implants and plates, and lingual braces. During his education at USC, he was selected to take an Advanced Orthodontic externship to both Brazil and Japan.

We also know the importance of giving back to our community, which is why we currently volunteer our time as teaching staff at Queens Medical, Lutheran Medical, and Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center dental residency programs.
According to the U.S. Center for Disease Control and Prevention, almost one in four children between ages 2 and 11 suffer from untreated cavities in their baby teeth. Many children who are enrolled in Medicaid never receive the dental services they need to treat these cavities and prevent future oral health issues. In response to this growing issue, the American Dental Association crated the national program, Give Kids A Smile (GKAS), which helps these underserved kids by providing them with preventative education & dental services. Dr. Scotts Lobbying Efforts have resulted in Governor Iges signing of a proclamation to recognize February as Give Kids a Smile Hawaii Month.
Morita Orthodontics, in association with the Hawaii Dental Association Young Dentist Group, was proud to host a GKAS event, and bring complimentary dental services and education to the children of our own community. Since February was National Childrens Dental Health Month, theres was no better time to improve the lives of children by helping them find the path to maintaining good oral health.
Our team is a proud member of the Hawaii Dental Association Foundation. The Hawaii Dental Association Foundation is Hawaiis dental philanthropic and charitable organization, whose purpose is in uniting people and organizations to improve oral health by supporting community access to oral care, educational programs, and other charitable community outreach programs.

Morita Orthodontics made every visit I made throughout the past 3 years very welcoming. Everyone there is very well trained, which is probably the reason why I've never had any problems with my braces. They truly do care and will invest their time into to their patients to make sure they are satisfied.

The first day I met Dr. Morita, I was still fumbling with taking out my old, broken removable retainer made from my previous orthodontist that I kept for about four years. When Dr. Morita saw this, he was already walking into the same room as I to consult me on Invisalign. When he saw that I was in the middle of removing my old retainers, he put both his hands up and asked "Did I come at a bad time?" I played along and said "Yeah, let's take a redo on that." He stepped backwards and closed the door again. After a few minutes, I finally got my old retainer out and put it into the napkin that was given to me. Dr. Morita walked back in the room and said "Alright! Let's try this again!" We both laughed and introduced ourselves. That was when I discovered I have a really cool and quirky orthodontist. A year ago, this consultation was the best for me personally because here was an orthodontist that laid down all the different options for me to straighten my teeth again without reverting back to traditional braces, which I used to have before. As a college student, I didn't think I could afford braces so he told me that Invisalign would be my best option based off my teeth and financial situation. I trusted him, the staff, and the entire process. When I could not make an appointment because of my busy schedule, the staff was so considerate enough to squeeze me in. When something came up at the orthodontic office that couldn't allow my appointment to run as scheduled, they also rescheduled me as soon as possible. The whole staff was very friendly and accommodating and always remembered who I was, not viewing me as just any other patient. I am truly grateful because yesterday I "graduated" from using my one year of two-week Invisalign trays to trays that are thicker, more durable, and long-lasting. With that, I took a graduation photo and signed it to be put onto the wall of other patients that "graduated" from their orthodontic treatment. The experience doesn't end there, however. Since I am currently a dental hygiene student, Dr. Morita invited me and my classmates to volunteer with him for their Give Kids a Smile event this upcoming February 2020. I am really looking forward to it because it'll be another opportunity for me to be more involved within my community. Thank you, Dr. Morita and the Morita Orthodontics Ohana! You guys are the reason I am still very passionate about anything dental-related. Stay awesome!

This orthodontics office was probably the best experience I've ever had going to a dentist. The staff and everyone that I came in contact with was so kind and it had such a family feel, I felt right at home and they treated me so well it was incredible! I'm blown away by how kind and loving each and everyone was there. They snuck me in on only a days notice, when no other office would and I literally called every orthodontic and dentist on island but these guys were the only ones to come through and treated me like a queen! So so thankful for this staff, they blessed me beyond what I could have ever expected!

Life changing! Dr. Morita encouraged me to put braces back on for a 2nd time to correct my bite. He used a technique many other orthodontists don't know how to use. My results are Great!!! I am so happy

Although my procedure took many years to complete, it was well worth it! Dr. Morita and his staff are amazing! The magic that was done has totally transformed my smile, bite and jaw alignment. My teeth were moved so much that I was prepared for work that would never be close to ideal alignment, some way, some how, he worked his magic and made my teeth as close to perfection as possible. I'm more than ecstatic with my results and I'm positive that if anyone, even if they are older like myself, is considering to get work done, you should definitely consider Dr. Morita.
