We are extremely lucky to have not just three dentists on staff, but extremely dedicated and experienced ones as well. Dr. James A. Moreau has been providing cosmetic and implant care for over 40 years, and Dr. Shannon O. Doyle can serve entire families, from grandparents to grandchildren and everyone in between! Dr. Israel M. Finger is our in-house prosthodontist, a dental specialist capable of rebuilding and replacing missing teeth using strong, natural-looking restorations that are the next best thing to nature.
Funny enough, becoming a dentist (a profession that he genuinely loves today) was the LAST thing Dr. Moreau wanted to do for his job initially. In his younger years, however, he experienced several facial injuries that involved his teeth and jaws, which gave him a newfound appreciation for what dentists could do to help those in need. His father also gave him a strong push in the direction of oral healthcare because he thought Dr. Moreau was too independent for the military and also too strong-willed to be someones employee and he was right!
Today, Dr. Moreau is proud to be the independent leader of his dental office while still having a soft heart for the people in his care. He also enjoys being a seasoned mentor to those who seek his expertise.
After completing his initial degree at the University of New Orleans, Dr. Moreau pursued his dental doctorate at the Louisiana State University School of Dentistry. Today, he is a proud Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine and a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry. He is also eligible for a Fellowship with the International College of Cranio-Mandibular Orthopedics and a current member of the American Dental Association and Louisiana Dental Association. Over the decades, he has remained committed to pursuing continuing education at very opportunity, including courses about laser dentistry, dental implants, oral surgery, prosthetics, root canals, orthodontics, advanced life support, and much more. He considers himself a Swiss Army Knife of a dentist!
Dr. Moreau and his wife Julie have been married for over 37 years and have brought four interesting children into the world two daughters followed by twin sons. Their active family unit enjoys doing lots of traveling, church, and community activities together, with some sports and a lot of camping sprinkled into the mix. Theyll camp, drive, fly, canoe, kayak, hike, zip line, horseback ride, or bike almost anywhere! Although hes taking a break from flying, Dr. Moreau is a founding member of the Big Easy Wing of the CAF as well and supports the maintenance of WWII Aircraft. He also spends plenty of time hanging out on his pontoon boat.
Dr. Doyle stumbled onto the field of dentistry while she was attending college and exploring options in healthcare for a lifelong career. She quickly realized that the dental world embodied everything she wanted: artistry, helping/caring for others, and the ability to form long-lasting relationships with patents. Many years later, she still feels confident that she made the right choice.
Dr. Doyle pursued her dental doctorate at the Louisiana State University School of Dentistry, where she graduated in 2009. Today, she is a proud member of the American Dental Association, Louisiana Dental Association, and a Spear Study Club, where local dental providers learn together through lectures and discussion-based meetings once a month. She has also completed a great deal of continuing education courses on CEREC, CAD/CAM technology, Invisalign, iTero intraoral scanners, and more.

Absolutely amazing! I know those are not words that you hear often about a dental office however in this case it is appropriate. This office lives up to its name because I was not smiling when I arrived, However, thanks to Maya, Ashley, and Dr. Moreau I left well informed and with a smile. I am a veteran and have lived domestic as well as aboard. I have experienced many orthodontists and dentists throughout my life moreover I stand confident in saying this by far has been my most memorable and best experience!

I was honestly taken back by how amazing there service's are. The desk service is hands down the most attentive and courteous staff I have seen yet. The office is immaculate and bathrooms are stocked with anything you would need in case you didn't get to clean before your appointment. Their accommodations truly make you feel like you are at the spa! I have always been scared and apprehensive of the dentist's office and I am proud to say with More Smiles, I look forward to going to my appointments and I can be comfortable to ease any anxiety. I know I am in the best hands for my dental care. They are a one of a kind dental facility!

Every appointment at More Smiles Dental has been a wonderful experience. Today was exceptional as I accidently had the wrong appointment time on my calendar with my hygienist (Marissa) whom we adore! Upon arriving, the courteous front office asked me to wait to see what could be done. Voile, they set me up with their newest hygienist Anh (pronounced Annah). The experience was fantastic. Having been an "anti-dentite" for years, fearful of anything associated with the profession, and the fact that I have had Parkinson's for 24 years and hoping my meds are working on time and there will be no embarrassing shakes or weird face contortions and my voice will be working more than a whisper so I would not have to contend with no one understanding anything I said made it real that right off the bat the people at More Smiles were going to be at a disadvantage . My normal speech is a whisper that is a cross between Charlie Brown's teacher and early Helen Keller. I could not have been more wrong. From the second I entered , I saw Ashley, the office manager, smiling at me. It was so genuine and sincere. My blood pressure dropped a million points. Ashley asked me if I was better with a sit down conference or an office tour. She told me about how it was all about me and my comfort zone. Then she took me to the conference room to chat. I was introduced to Molly, who handles the insurance and let me tell you, this girl is on top of her game. How do you explain that your spouse distrusts anything to do with dental insurance and how it works? So when Molly sat down and explained every charge before my mouth was even involved and the amount on the paper was the total charge and that I was going to get the nitrous with no guilt attached for needing it. She had no idea that this discussion was like an ongoing exchange between myself and my husband and she had just given me the gauntlet, which was her knowledge of the insurance I had and it didn't matter if I was able to explain it or not, I WAS GOING TO WIN THE INSURANCE DEBATE! What a great day so far! Then Ashley brought me to the hygienist's chair and I was introduced to sweet Katie. What a lovely young lady! We were both from the same hometown and thinking back on our conversation, I was trying to explain a condensed version of Parkinson's because it is so complicated. She was really listening and asking me questions and doing everything to make me more comfortable. I told her if I seemed to be inhaling too hard, that it wasn't because I had a nitrous problem, but I was trying to suck in as much as I could before my PD kicked in. She understood my fears and managed to calm every one of them. And for that I am so grateful. I never even lost my voice! The check up and cleaning are usually the worst part for me, but I beat the anxiety by getting ahead of the game and was relaxed before she even started. Did I mention they gave me the prettiest water bottle as a welcome gift? It was not necessary, but extremely thoughtful. Then --DA DA DAHHH---- time for the real test! The actual cleaning. I had sent an information sheet with some Parkinson's facts on it and the homework must have been done And because I wasn't worried, I WAS HAPPY! Then Dr. Doyle , who is very knowledgeable (and has a great smile, which is always a good thing being a dentist) came to give us the final "ok" and my check-up was not only stress free, but it was deemed a good one and my next visit would be in 6 months, appt. made. I am so thankful to the entire team. They have given me a totally renewed mindset that is all positive. Looking forward to my next appointment!

First time visit. Had a wonderful experience. Everyone was kind and you can tell they try to personalize the experience and make you feel as comfortable as possible. All of my concerns were addressed, and they did a great job with the cleaning. Would recommend.

I had the best experience! I normally don't mind going to the dentist, but I actually now look forward to going. The staff is incredible they treat you like family and go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable! The office is so clean and smells like a real spa which is a plus in my opinion. Katie was my hygienist and she was amazing! Dr. Doyle is very thorough and eager to answer any questions you have. Menorah did my whitening treatment and made sure I was comfortable and communicated every step of the process. I can't say enough good things about their office. I have never had such a good experience at the dentist and I look forward to my next appointment believe it or not!

BEWARE! This office is not upfront with insurance information whatsoever. When I called to make my first appointment, I specifically asked if they were in-network with my dental insurance. They gave me a general answer like "we work with all insurance plans." At my appointment, they gave me an estimate of what my out of pocket charges would look like, and I agreed as I was getting a panoramic x-ray and a deep cleaning, realizing these extras may not be fully covered. I paid $202 out of pocket at the end of my visit, only to receive a bill for another $158.80 over one month later. Upon calling my insurance company to find out why it was so expensive, it turns out MoreSmiles was an out-of-network provider. They NEVER told me this and acted like they were in-network the entire time. Shame on them!!

I have been a long time patient with More Smiles and after losing my job and acquiring new insurance it placed them as an out of network provider. I am willing to pay the difference to continuing to go to More Smiles they put me at ease and take care of everything in a timely manner. Great people.
