Dr. Barry Moorhead is passionate about providing quality dental service and establishing caring, long-term relationships with his patients. A native of Washington State, he attended the University of Washington where he graduated with a degree in Psychology. He then went on to receive his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. Dr. Moorhead returned to the Seattle area upon graduation and soon after obtained his own private practice.
Dr. Moorhead is a member of various local and national professional organizations. These include the American Dental Association, Washington State Dental Association, Seattle-King County Dental Society, Spear Study Club, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and the Great Blue Heron Dental Study Club (Seattle Study Club affiliate). Currently, he serves as a part-time faculty member in the dental hygiene and dental assistant programs at Lake Washington Institute of Technology College and is the chairperson of the schools Advisory Board.
When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Moorhead enjoys an active lifestyle. An avid skier, he taught skiing professionally for eight years at various ski resorts from Stevens Pass to Vail, Colorado. Other interests include wake-boarding, scuba diving, and mixed-martial arts. When you visit his office, youll quickly see that hes also a saltwater aquarium enthusiast.
My job is to assist Dr. Moorhead with all restorative procedures while making sure our patients are comfortable and have a wonderful experience during their visit at our office. My favorite part about being a dental assistant is interacting with patients on a daily basis. I love how each day brings something new, and I am constantly learning and improving my skills through hands-on work.
I graduated from Bothell High School, class of 2010, and studied dental assisting at Lake Washington Institute of Technology. Being the newest member to join our dental team, I love how everyone here made me feel so welcome and apart of the team right away. We all help and support each other to be the best version of ourselves, and I think that makes us really great team. I am very fortune to work with such an amazing group of people here!
In my free time, I love to play soccer, softball, and basketball. I enjoy spending time outside with my family and friends, whether were going camping, hiking, or having bonfires at Golden Gardens. Music is also a big part of my life and I love to go to as many concerts and festivals around the Pacific Northwest that I can.
I can be found at our front desk, where I assist patients with scheduling, billing, insurance claims, and answering any questions they may have. I am also our financial specialist and treatment coordinator, which enables me to help patients get the dental care they need. I am a people person, which suits my role perfectly! I love helping people have healthy and happy smiles. So many of our patients have become my friends, and for that I am very grateful.
My career in dentistry began in 1986, giving me a wealth of experience which I brought to Dr. Barrys team in 2014. I like the fun personality of our team members, and working in an environment that is so upbeat. I really appreciate Dr. Barrys passion for dentistry; he keeps current on technology and treatment, always learning and growingnot stagnant.
I am the mother of four wonderful children who have gone on to graduate from UW and CWU. Giving back to our kids and community has always been important to me. I have served as the VP in PTSA and other leadership capacities, and have enjoyed volunteering for Habitat for Humanity and the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of America. Personally, I enjoy art, hiking, cycling, beach life, traveling, live music, Zumba, and being a 12th Man. When I am not doing those things, I am walking my sweet little dog, JJ.
I grew up in Southern California and graduated from the dental hygiene program at Loma Linda University in 1999. After spending a majority of my career working in Coronado, CA I moved to the Seattle area to live closer to family.

The hygienist today was awesome, however I can't recall her name. She's very down to earth and talkative easy to get along with very informative.

I have got my cleaning done twice and I have been completely satisfied with the procedure and the friendly staff. Dr. Barry has given me great advise and hygienists Emily and Elsa have been super friendly. I would definitely recommend it.

Dr Moorhead is a magician! I had a veneer break on a front tooth over a holiday. Not only was he able to get me in right away, his assistant, Elsa, made a temporary crown that looked like it was natural. After a quick color match, a permanent crown was placed and looks and feels amazing! No one can tell it's not my natural tooth!

Excellent experience here! Dr Moorhead and staff are extremely knowledgeable and friendly and don't make going to the dentist stressful. The office is very nice, comfortable and clean. Highly recommend Dr Moorhead if you're in need of a new dentist.

Kathleen has horrible customer service skills. She called my house by accident and when I asked where they were located, she hung up on me. I called back thinking it was an accident and asked again where they were located. Ironically I was waiting on a call from our Dr. Office. I asked again where they were located to see if they may be a Dr on the base near me and she hung up on me again. I called back again to find out why she was so rude and she told me that hanging up on me was an accident (twice) I asked to talk with her supervisor and she asked me why I needed to talk with her supervisor. Long story short, after arguing with me for way to long I talked with the Dr. Unbelievable, I am in total shock and awe to the way I was treated by this woman for just asking where they were located.

Dr. Moorhead is great! He is really thorough with a more conservative approach. He never pushes me into a procedure, gives me options, and takes more of a wait and see approach if necessary. Kathleen at the front desk is also awesome to interact with! Friendly and does he best to fit you in based on your schedule.
