Dr. Jeff and his brother Dr. John are second generation dentist born and raised in Charleston, West Virginia. Dr. Jeff graduated from West Virginia University School of Dentistry with a Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree in 1986, after he completed a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from The University of Charleston. After graduating he returned to Charleston and worked with a local dentist for a year, while looking for a practice to purchase. In August of 1987, Dr. Jeff and Dr. John formed their partnership and legacy, Moore and Moore Dental Associates.
Dr Jeff is very active in his community. He is a member of Bible Center Church, where he attends regularly and has since he was a small child. Over the years he has been involved in various clubs and activities at the church, forming close bonds with other members.He has always enjoyed the sport of soccer whether he is playing it, teaching it or coaching it. He has helped many young athletes from junior high to high school develop their skills, as well as his own son. Anyone in his family will tell you his commitment to his children surpasses the definition of dedication.
When his son was in junior high school, he began coaching his soccer team. After he put a full day in at the office seeing to the needs of his patients, he would head to the soccer field to either conduct practice or travel to one of the teams many meets. He continued this commitment through his sons high school years as well. When he went to college at the University of Charleston, his fathers alma mater, Dr. Jeff encouraged him to participate in a local club team. He knew his sons continued involvement in the sport, that had been a huge part of his life, would only help ensure his success in the classroom by keeping his routine the same. Dr. Jeff was correct; his son flourished and graduated from the University of Charleston in 2013. His son applied to West Virginia University School of Dentistry, like his father, and was accepted.
Dr. Jeff enjoys all areas of comprehensive dental care from preventive treatment and complex restorations to root canals, crown and bridge work as well as cosmetic care. He strives to stay up to date with the latest technology and techniques in the dental profession. He not only is committed to continuing his education by attending conferences each year, he also spends numerous hours researching the latest technology and new equipment and there specifications out on the market to see what he can incorporate into the practice.
Dr. Jeff is a member of the West Virginia Dental Association, Kanawha Valley Dental Society as well as the American Dental Association. He, along with the practice, has been awarded Talk of the Town for the state of West Virginia by their patients. Most recently the practice was voted Best in the Valley for Charleston.
Kelly, a board certified Dental Hygienist, has over 20 years experience. She received her degree from the West Virginia Institute of Technology in 1994, at which time she joined our practice. She spends numerous hours each year on continuing her education. Kelly remains committed to offer the best care, staying current with training in the latest periodontal care, as well as the latest techniques in cosmetic dentistry. Kelly combines her extensive knowledge and training with her warm and caring approach to her patients, providing them with excellent dental hygiene care.
Emily graduated Cum Laude from West Liberty University where she received her Bachelor Degree in Dental Hygiene. She joined our clinical team after graduation in July, 2009. Each year she attends various continuing education classes to further her knowledge and skills, as well as classes specifically designed for cosmetic dentistry. Emily combines her advance clinical training and skills with a warm and compassionate approach. Her motivation and enthusiasm for dental hygiene, along with her willingness to stay current in the latest training and techniques available, allow her to provide her patients with the best dental care.

The staff working with me were very friendly and understanding of my needs as per fears.... I am having a root canal next week and they eased my mind even with others telling me to just have it pulled.. and I can guarantee it is not because of money involved. they are just genuinely concerned with you as a patient. I want to be able to smile again and no pain.....

This dentist has a low rating for a reason! I was sooo happy to be able to get an appt for the very next day only to be told when I arrived that the appointment scheduled was not for what I needed but what the dentist needed??? I left and said I would go somewhere else. Don't bother making an appointment. I was warned by others that the dentists are not focused on patients but selling services. The front office staff are also not helpful and very rude.

The staff is very friendly but the dentist himself is rude, rough and does not have empathy for his patients. They got me in fast for an emergency situation but definitely not caring if the patients needs. I do not care for this dentist.

The Moore dentists are among the best in the world, in my opinion. The Moores are honorable, hardworking, honest, & straight people. I have so much respect for these people. I wish that so many others would be as great as the Moores.

Dr. Jeff is very arrogant and unprofessional! Very rude and treats patients with no empathy. The lady who usually does my cleanings is no longer employed there and whoever the new girl was that cleaned my teeth was SO ROUGH that my gums were tender for days. I was an afternoon appointment and I feel like she was just trying to rush me out. She would scrape my teeth and then wipe what she scraped onto the bib, I was disgusted and uncomfortable. I will be finding a new dentist.

My wife scheduled an appt for me with this office and despite knowing that it would be a rough time, I was shocked. Even though my oral health was not very good at all, in one visit they did more to help me than any other dentist I've been to did in years of visits. They were open and honest without being condescending, and I left with an entire new look on what my oral health could be. If you have had dentists that have dismissed your struggles and just out right didn't seem to really care about you as a person, give Moore and Moore a try! They may not be exactly what your looking for, but they were the best experience I've had in my 34 years. My only regret is not finding them years ago.

I have been to this dentist a couple times. The work was mediocre and he was very rough and absolutely no table side manners! However staff was very professional and friendly cant say as much for the actual doctor. I paid cash and worked all year to save the money to be treated as if he didnt have time for me. If I have a choice in the matter financially I will not go back and i wouldn't recommend this dentist
