Our doctor, Ilmoon Park, has lived in many different countries before moving to United States in 2001 ; Panama, Brazil and South Korea. While experiencing many different cultural backgrounds, he developed a genuine interest in dentistry as a teenager, witnessing his grandmother go through difficult dental and medical conditions. He shadowed a general dentist and volunteered in a local memorial hospital prior to attending Nova Southeastern University, where he received both his Bachelor of Science degree and Doctorate in Dental Medicine.
Since his graduation in dental school in 2011, Dr. Moon has worked in Dunnellon, Ocala and Orlando under private, group and corporate settings. Years of experience under working in different settings led him to establish his company, Ilmoon Park, DMD, PLLC and work for himself. Dr. Moon currently resides in Winter Haven with his wife, 2 year old daughter and upcoming baby on June 2019. On his personal time, he enjoys playing basketball.
Our office manager, Barbara, lived in Alabama for 16 years before moving to Florida in 1977. Since then, she has married and raised 3 kids in Lake Wales. She attended the polk community college before joining our practice on March 2000. Barbara enjoys the Georgia mountains, Florida beach and spending time with her two grand children!
Our assistant, Karen, moved to Florida from Minnesota 32 years ago. She have worked in this practice for over 30 years as a dental assistant and loves all of the patients that she have gotten to know over the years! Karen is very enthusiastic in staying fit and her hobbies include: crossfit, riding motorcycles and being at the beach.
Ashley, our hygienist, was born in Toccoa, Georgia and has lived in Texas and Alabama. She moved to Florida in 1993. She has attended Winter Haven High school and graduated from Polk Community College with an Associates of Arts degree and Valencia Community College with an Associate of Science Degree. She has been with the practice since Sept 2004. In her spare time, she has acquired a director title with Thirty One gifts Company. Her hobbies include reading and attending church activities.
Helen was born and raised in Florida. She attained her A.A. degree at Polk State College before transferring to Santa Fe College and completing her A.S. in Dental Hygiene. She enjoys woking for a practice in which she can focus on providing compassionate care. Outside of work, she likes horseback riding and scuba diving Florida springs with her husband.

I went to Dr. Moon's office due to pain I was having with two of my bottom teeth. I have been told by other dentists that I need root canal. I explained the previous procedure that was done to my teeth. Dr. Moon did a full examination, along with some scans of my teeth. After he did a few touch ups to my two teeth, I no longer have any pain. No root canal and he did not charge to shave the teeth, just for the examination fee. It is good to know there a honest dentist. Thank you Dr. Moon for taking care of my teeth. No more pain!

It was a very nice office but I felt that the fee for all that was done was quite expensive needless to say the dental hygienist was excellent on my second visit but I have found better insurance that will cover all this and then some including vision. 8

Dr. Moon is a perfect combination of friendly and quiet professionalism. Atmosphere is calm, clean and quiet. Miss Sarah at the front desk IS ON IT! She goes the extra mile to take care of your scheduling needs, answer questions of any kind and has spot professional southern manners. Dr Moon and staff are efficient, well knowledged and offer very fair pricing across the board. HIGHLY recommended.

Dr Moon's Family Dental old school's philosophy of patient doctor relationships that promote trust and a feeling of confidence in both Dr Moon and his great staff is alive and well! The office is well organized and friendly due to Sarah and Dr Moon's assistant Alexandria ( sorry if I got your name wrong) is wonderfull and very professional. Although the service is "Old school" the center is state of the art with the latest in xray and medical equipment. I wish to thank Dr Moon and his staff for helping me through a difficult time and getting my dental needs under control after a long covid lapse. Once again, THANKS

Dr Moon is by far the best dentist around. Very friendly staff and they go beyond to make you feel welcomed. Dental hygienist is very thorough and makes your time worth it. Dr Moon is just awesome! Highly recommended!!

I started going to Dr Moon when Dr. Johnson retired. I had been with Dr. Johnson for over 25 years and got very used to the way that he took care of me. Once Dr Moon took over, from the very first visit I was relaxed and had the upmost confidence in how he was caring for me and my dental health. His expertise and personal interest is very reassuring. I have no issue in recommending him to my friend in need of dental treatment.

I have been going to Dr. Moon as a patient since he took over Dr. Johnson's dental practice! I have always enjoyed my experience there. Moved to Florida last year and needed to find a new dentist. Moon Family Dental was one of the few places reccommend by my insurance company. I decided to get them a try and I am glad I did. They are fantastic! Staff is absolutely the best, friendly and very profesional. Barb who works the front desk is just wonderful. She is so kind and just a pleasure to talk to. Dr Moon is great.
