Welcome to Montville Pediatric Dentistry! We are a dental office that specializes in treating infants, children, teenagers, and children with special needs. We are dedicated to providing the best oral health care possible in a fun and caring setting. We practice pediatric dentistry with the goal of maintaining happy and healthy mouths while teaching children how to take control and maintain their oral health as they grow; we teach proper oral hygiene and talk about making smart snack choices. Hi! My name is Dr. Daniel Peikes. While I was born in New York City, I moved to North Jersey when I was 7 years old and was raised there. . After graduating with honors from Touro College, I went on to earn my D.M.D. from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) New Jersey Dental School (NJDS), earning Deans List honors multiple times.
While in my junior year of dental school, I was introduced to the field of Pediatric Dentistry. I very quickly realized how much I enjoyed treating young children and adolescents. The ability to turn a frightened and anxious child into a trusting and excited patient is the ultimate goal, and is truly rewarding. I completed my Pediatric Dentistry training at UMDNJ, while also serving as Chief Resident. I have experience in treating pediatric patients (including special needs patients) in the office as well as in the operating room.
I am a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist and a member of the College of Diplomates as well as the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. I am also a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, New Jersey Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, and the New Jersey Dental Association. I have lectured for the Passaic Park Dental Study Group, and presented at the New Jersey Academy of Pediatric Dentistry bi-annual session. I have also been published in the Journal of Dentistry.
Hi! My name is Dr. Talya Gluck and I grew up in Long Island, New York. I attended Barnard College in New York City for my undergraduate degree and graduated with a minor in pre- medical studies and a major in American History. I continued my education at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey where I received my DMD degree with honors. During my clinical training in dental school I realized my passion for working with children and special needs patients, and decided to continue my dental education and pursue a specialty in pediatric dentistry. I completed my pediatric dentistry residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, which included extensive academic and hospital training in pediatric medicine and dentistry. I currently live in Hillside, NJ with my husband and three children, where we enjoy our chaotic lives with our friends and family!
I consider it an honor to be entrusted with the care of someones child. My goal is to provide excellent preventive and restorative care for children and guidance for their parents, to help children truly enjoy their dental visits, and to create a lasting dental home for families. Oral health is an essential part of a childs well being and I look forward to providing dental care to children throughout their developmental years.

This is the most magical place for kids to get comfortable and excited about going to the dentist. It has a fantasy theme for decor with a very gentle approach to dentistry, and both my kids love going every time. I wish they took adults! The staff is amazing--Dr Talya is the best!! Highly recommend!

My daughter loves coming here! The staff is amazing and they make the children feel so comfortable. They explain everything to parents as well as the kids. Your children will love going to the dentist if you come here! :)

Both my children Regina and Jaedon actually like going to the dentist. Everyone there is very kind, respectful and get you in and out right away. I would recommend them to anyone.

The staff is wonderful and friendly. The dentists and hygienists are AMAZING with the children. I highly recommend this business. The inside is adorable and very inviting for the children. My child loves picking a prize from the treasure box. You will not be disappointed with them!

My son has been going to MPD for the past year and he loves it. The decor is so awesome, everyone is so friendly and nurturing. I am so happy I changed dentists. It is always such a pleasing experience for my child!!

Been taking my daughter here for the past couple of years and every time the don't disappoint. Staff is always pleasant and knows just how to handle kids who might be a little scared. Highly recommended! Oh and did I mention the very cool decor?!

After having a traumatic experience at another dentist office, everyone at this office was kind, gentle, and extremely caring. They went above and beyond to make sure my daughter was comfortable and had a pleasant experience. She even asked to go back again tomorrow. Can't thank this staff and doc enough!

Being new to Montville, I hadn't switched my kids' dentist from our old town yet. Then, my 7 year old son needed an semi-emergency appointment. Not only did Kristyn walk me through the insurance process, but she kindly sent me instructions on how to take a picture of my son's mouth and then, when they determined he had to be seen, told me to come right over. The office was decorated in such a magical theme, my son was immediately intrigued and forgot he was at the dentist. Dr. Dan talked my son through everything and even made a reassuring call to my husband before the procedure. I am so grateful that they took us as a new patient on a day they were closed. Thank you and we will see you for our regular check ups.

I'm so pleased to be able to share a review of Montville Pediatric Dentistry. My daughter has been going to Dr. Gluck since her baby teeth started coming in many years ago. MPD is such a cool place for kids. The office is a magical Wonderland from the second you walk in. It's decorated in total kid fashion and offers a warm and comfortable atmosphere. The staff is knowledgeable, kind and super friendly. Dr. Gluck and her team is amazing every time we visit. They have fun contests for the kids, a treasure chest filled with the most amazing surprises, and lots of flavors for cleanings. As a Mom, I'm so thankful that taking my kiddo to the dentist is a positive experience!

I love the place. I drive 35 minutes to get there but it's worthy. My son love both dentists. He loves how he is treated there. As a Mother I recommend it. They are very friendly, professional and they care about you as a person.

We always have positive experiences with Dr. Dan. Our visits are easy, quick, and enjoyable. My son needs a tooth capped and I was given different options as it pertains to price, along with a thorough explanation of the procedure. And speaking of cavities, I find this office very conservative when it comes to filling them. We have specifically been watching certain teeth without a rush to fill them...Dr. Dan is very honest as to when things need to be addressed.
