Dr. Monticciolo earned his dental degree, with highest honors, from the University of Detroit School of Dentistry in 1990. He was selected to the Honors Clinical Program and was class president. After graduation, he also served as a part-time faculty member at the dental school. Dr. Monticciolo has always been a constant student, earning his M.B.A. in 2000 from the University of South Florida and his Law degree (J.D.) in 2013, all while continuing to practice full-time. Also, he has recently co-authored two books: Uncommon with Brian Tracy, and The Soul of Success with Jack Canfield. In 2001, Dr. Monticciolo founded Dentistry from the Heart, a non-profit dental charity which provides free dental care to those in need. Under his guidance, the charity has grown to all 50 states and 5 countries and is now sponsoring over 300 events a year.
In addition to his family and sedation dentistry practice, Dr. Monticciolo has been driven by opportunities to lead through example. From becoming a part-time faculty member at the dental school hed once attended, to finding a way to improve his community by offering free dental care to those in need, Dr. Monticciolo firmly believes in using his talents and passions for the greater good.
Dr. Monticciolo sees dentistry as a means to go beyond dental care, and into making a positive difference in his community. In this chapter of The Power of Giving Back, he talks about combining his career and his passions to create his charity Dentistry from the Heart.
Dr. Wade earned his Doctor of Medical Dentistry degree from the University of Florida College of Dentistry. His undergraduate study was in the field of Microbiology. Prior to joining Monticciolo Family and Sedation Dentistry, Dr. Wade practiced general dentistry for over 25 years in the Brandon/Bradenton areas. His extensive professional experience assures patients they are receiving the highest level of compassionate dental care.
Dr. Wade is dedicated to his work and strives to remain on the cutting edge in the delivery of dental care. Throughout his career, he has studied and taken continuing education courses from some of the leading authorities in the dental community. Dr. Wade provides all aspects of general family care, with a special interest in creating beautiful smiles. He is a member of the American, Florida, and West Coast Dental Associations. For the comfort of our more anxious patients, Dr. Wade is fully trained to safely sedate you. You can have your dental treatment completed while you peacefully relax.
Dr. Wade enjoys a proud family heritage as a fifth generation Floridian. He grew up in Hillsborough County and currently resides there with his wife, Christine. He is the proud father of three children. Dr. Wade enjoys college sports and is a long-time Florida Gator supporter, attending their events as often as possible. Additionally, Dr. Wade appreciates the great outdoors and enjoys traveling with his wife and children.
Dr. Christine Van Groesbeck attended Florida State University and Florida Gulf Coast University for her undergrad degree in Biology. Upon completing her Bachelors, she worked as a lab researcher on mineral transport systems at the University of Central Florida while pursuing a Masters in Biotechnology. She then continued her education at Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ, where she earned a Doctor of Medical Dentistry degree.
Since living in St. Petersburg, Dr. Van Groesbeck built a partnership with the Free Clinic of St. Pete in 2015 as a volunteer dentist and continues her work currently one day a week, as she is committed to making a positive difference in the local community. She lives locally with her husband, Tim, and their two dogs Shadow and Mookie Betts. She also maintains a local chicken egg co-op for her friends and neighbors by raising and tending to her flock. She works hard to make time for traveling to family back in New England. Her interests include family, volunteerism, travel and anything animal related.
Dr. Van Groesbeck maintains membership or continuing education through The International Academy of Biological Dentistry & Medicine, International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology, American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association and West Coast Dental Association, which further allows her to sharpen her skillset to provide high quality, comprehensive care and focus on patient education. She strives to stay informed on new techniques to provide comfortable care and the best functional, aesthetic result possible.

Dr moticciolo has taken care of my mom,my brother, and myself. My families experiences have been awesome. All of us use sedation each for different health reasons and personal. My brother has Down syndrome and dr is awesome with him. I wouldn't go anywhere else for our dental health care.

I am so glad I choose this place for my dental needs. The staff are very nice and professional. I just had my first cleaning today and it was a nice experience. Give them a go! Update: after 4 years of going here I still have had the best experience. SMILE!!

This review is long overdue! I haven't been able to give this office the appreciation or the credit it deserves. I was a Smile makeover winner, and received a new smile from the Tarpon location. This office has truly changed my life, and I can't put into words my gratitude for them! I would like to thank the staff that was present each, and every time I came into the office. Everyone was always so warm and welcoming, and made me feel so relaxed, and at ease. Each visit was quick, thorough and the pain was always minimal for me. They always made sure I understood everything going on, and always checked on me, throughout the healing process. I honestly cannot thank Monticello dentistry enough for altering my life in such a huge way! I will forever be thankful.

Dr. Burdman's honesty is noteworthy. I thought I might have a cavity but she explained that the gap between crowns could be the reason for the sensitivity. She didn't say that a new crown was necessary or recommend unnecessary work. John did a great job cleaning my teeth and Jennifer at the front desk is most helpful.

Do not waste your time. Terrible terrible experience. From the dental hygienist to the Dr. and even the office manager. I tried to escalate my complaint to the district manager, 2weeks later still no call back.

My cracked tooth needed repair... a fix similar to a cavity filling... I arrived, was taken 8in promptly, and they numbed my 97699gum so I didn't feel the needle when they numbed my tooth. They gave me sunglasses to wear which was GREAT for all the lights. Sandy visited with me while we waited for the tooth to be numbed (kind conversation.) The dentist came in, fixed the tooth, I was perfectly comfortable the whole time... and I was there for only 30 min from my name being called to walking out. MAGICAL!

I just had two temporary crowns removed and they put in the new ones. Super good job and very very fast. Best thing was no pain. Normally they're not my favorite people in general, but I could get use to this place.

I have anxiety, so it is challenging for me to feel comfortable at the dentist's. From the moment I walked in the door, the staff was kind, attentive, and empathetic to my feelings. Carissa was at the front desk and welcomed me with a big smile and a gentle demeanor. They walked me through the process of getting a crown. My dental hygienist, Susan was very friendly, and she understood that I had anxiety. She moved quickly and it was over in no time. I highly recommend the Tarpon Springs Monticciolo office.
