Dr. Monticciolo earned his dental degree, with highest honors, from the University of Detroit School of Dentistry in 1990. He was selected to the Honors Clinical Program and was class president. After graduation, he also served as a part-time faculty member at the dental school. Dr. Monticciolo has always been a constant student, earning his M.B.A. in 2000 from the University of South Florida and his Law degree (J.D.) in 2013, all while continuing to practice full-time. Also, he has recently co-authored two books: Uncommon with Brian Tracy, and The Soul of Success with Jack Canfield. In 2001, Dr. Monticciolo founded Dentistry from the Heart, a non-profit dental charity which provides free dental care to those in need. Under his guidance, the charity has grown to all 50 states and 5 countries and is now sponsoring over 300 events a year.
In addition to his family and sedation dentistry practice, Dr. Monticciolo has been driven by opportunities to lead through example. From becoming a part-time faculty member at the dental school hed once attended, to finding a way to improve his community by offering free dental care to those in need, Dr. Monticciolo firmly believes in using his talents and passions for the greater good.
Dr. Monticciolo sees dentistry as a means to go beyond dental care, and into making a positive difference in his community. In this chapter of The Power of Giving Back, he talks about combining his career and his passions to create his charity Dentistry from the Heart.
Dr. Wade earned his Doctor of Medical Dentistry degree from the University of Florida College of Dentistry. His undergraduate study was in the field of Microbiology. Prior to joining Monticciolo Family and Sedation Dentistry, Dr. Wade practiced general dentistry for over 25 years in the Brandon/Bradenton areas. His extensive professional experience assures patients they are receiving the highest level of compassionate dental care.
Dr. Wade is dedicated to his work and strives to remain on the cutting edge in the delivery of dental care. Throughout his career, he has studied and taken continuing education courses from some of the leading authorities in the dental community. Dr. Wade provides all aspects of general family care, with a special interest in creating beautiful smiles. He is a member of the American, Florida, and West Coast Dental Associations. For the comfort of our more anxious patients, Dr. Wade is fully trained to safely sedate you. You can have your dental treatment completed while you peacefully relax.
Dr. Wade enjoys a proud family heritage as a fifth generation Floridian. He grew up in Hillsborough County and currently resides there with his wife, Christine. He is the proud father of three children. Dr. Wade enjoys college sports and is a long-time Florida Gator supporter, attending their events as often as possible. Additionally, Dr. Wade appreciates the great outdoors and enjoys traveling with his wife and children.
Dr. Christine Van Groesbeck attended Florida State University and Florida Gulf Coast University for her undergrad degree in Biology. Upon completing her Bachelors, she worked as a lab researcher on mineral transport systems at the University of Central Florida while pursuing a Masters in Biotechnology. She then continued her education at Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ, where she earned a Doctor of Medical Dentistry degree.
Since living in St. Petersburg, Dr. Van Groesbeck built a partnership with the Free Clinic of St. Pete in 2015 as a volunteer dentist and continues her work currently one day a week, as she is committed to making a positive difference in the local community. She lives locally with her husband, Tim, and their two dogs Shadow and Mookie Betts. She also maintains a local chicken egg co-op for her friends and neighbors by raising and tending to her flock. She works hard to make time for traveling to family back in New England. Her interests include family, volunteerism, travel and anything animal related.
Dr. Van Groesbeck maintains membership or continuing education through The International Academy of Biological Dentistry & Medicine, International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology, American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association and West Coast Dental Association, which further allows her to sharpen her skillset to provide high quality, comprehensive care and focus on patient education. She strives to stay informed on new techniques to provide comfortable care and the best functional, aesthetic result possible.

Everyone made me feel comfortable. The doctor was extremely thorough in his exam and explained everything in great detail. And there was no judgment.

I have been a patient at this dental office over three years and have had several thousand dollars worth of dental work to include three crowns and a root canal. I had an appointment scheduled today to have my teeth cleaned to which I called the office yesterday to confirm the appointment and discuss payment since it was out of pocket until January 1, when I get insurance. When I arrived at the office this morning I was informed I had to have x-rays which I was not aware of. It was not mentioned when I called the day before. They were unable to clean my teeth today because I wouldn't get the x-rays due to the out-of-pocket cost. I'm just surprised they couldn't wait until after 1 January for the x-rays when I have insurance. I guess what bothers me most is they couldn't make an exception. I don't understand what the big deal was to wait a couple of more months. Now they're going to lose a patient. I feel like they don't care about my situation and the fact that it wasn't mentioned on the phone yesterday.

Holly is the best!!! I moved to Jacksonville and needed some X-rays and other things sent to an Oral Surgeon. I called and Holly answered and was able to assist me rapidly. I felt welcomed and cared for by the staff at Monticello. 10/10 recommend.

Dr. Monticello and staff are fantastic. Just had some dental work done and it went very smoothly. Just calling the dentist gives me such great anxiety, but the appointments and the sedation process went so great. They are very caring and patient. I am still terrified, but I know this office is there to help every step of the way.

These folks were fantastic to me, definitely the best experience I've had with a dentist office. Very accommodating when it came to helping me understand procedures and options. My wife and her sister are both patients and I can say that their recommendation was well warranted. As is mine. Definitely give them a chance, I highly recommend them! A very judgement free and friendly office.

I had a very bad experience with the Regional Manager (Jennifer) on 10/10/22. My husband broke a tooth at work and so I called to make an emergency appt for him. Jennifer answered the phone and I explained the situation to her. She then (after getting all the info) proceeded to give me a bad attitude and informed me that we owed a balance of $160 something and that needed to be taken care of first. I informed her that our family has a $3000 credit on our acct to take care of that. She rudely informed me that the credit was on my acct and that they could not move the money to cover another persons acct. Furthermore, Jennifer quoted me $1800 on the phone to get the work done. I assure you that I was charged more then $1800. Personally, I believe, Jennifer should cover the overage since she is so sure in what she says! I do not suggest anybody work with this lady as she is anything but professional **our family will be sure to schedule our appts when Jennifer is NOT at this location!! On the positive side, Holly, Dr Duvert and Patty definitely make our visits WONDERFUL!!

I just love my coming for my dental appointments. I never thought I'd say that. But Dr. Monticciolo and the whole office team are professional, friendly and genuine care about you. You go over and beyond to make your visit as enjoyable and comforting as they can. I would refer them in a heart to friends, family and anyone asking about a great dentist!! Monticciolo Family & Sedation Dentistry in Plant City is the absolute best! From the moment I stepped into the office I was greeted by the front office staff who made me feel so welcomed. Holly took the time to explain the new patient paperwork. Patty was absolutely Amazing! Her ability to make an uncomfortable process of taking mouth X-rays surprisingly bearable. Dr. Duvert went over everything I needed to know and showed me a video that explained my upcoming procedure and went over all options for treatment. When I tell you there was no pressure. Amy got me scheduled for my upcoming appointments and on my way. I couldn't ask for a better experience.

I have taken my daughter to Dr. Monti for sedation dentistry for several years. He's a great dentist and the office people have been so friendly. I was really happy they opened up in Polk City which is closer for us. We drive a long distance to get there, but it's worth every mile!

Usually when I go a dentist, I get shamed if I don't floss or brush regularly. Today, these amazing women told me not to be ashamed and worked with me to make sure I was comfortable and still getting the treatment I need. Everything was thoroughly explained to me and they were gentle when dealing with my sensitive teeth. Everyone in the office was super friendly and helpful, best dentist I've been too!!
