The American Academy of Pediatrics, American Dental Association, and American Board of Pediatric Dentistry all recommend that children have their first dental evaluation by age 1, or around the time that the first teeth erupt.

Early preventive care and screenings can help your family avoid the most common childhood disease: tooth decay. In fact, we feel so strongly about children seeing us by age one, that we offer screenings for free on all children under 24 months of age.

Early care helps your child avoid unwanted tooth pain, and consequently a fear of painful dental visits. Let our Board-Certified Pediatric Dentists help you keep your son or daughters smile healthy for life.

Our Princeton pediatric dental office is part of Autism Village a program that helps families throughout the area easily locate businesses that are Autism Friendly. In fact, children with special needs are some of our favorite patients to work with!

Were also a member of the Montgomery Business Association, helping residents keep their shopping and business needs right here in the community. The network of business owners, healthcare providers, recreational outlets, and more makes it easy for Princeton residents to support neighbors in their community, while also enjoying healthy, active lifestyles.

There's just something about spending summer days at the baseball field! Montgomery Pediatric Dentistry is a dedicated supporter of the Montgomery Baseball Association and were proud of their talented little league (and yes, some of them are our patients!). The league is open to children ages 4 through 18 who live in Montgomery, Rocky Hill, or Princeton.

Less than 10 minutes from our office is Herrontown Woods Arboretum. The Arboretum has several miles of walking trails, a pine forest, and over 30 species of trees. You can also pack a picnic and search for the frogs and salamanders that make this area their home. Herrontown Woods is open to the public every day and is a great place for kids, and adults alike, to unwind and explore nature.

I could not be happier with our first experience at Montgomery Pediatric Dentistry! They came highly recommended and still surpassed expectations. Dr. Shah was fantastic, as were all of the staff we encountered. I never thought I'd say this, but my daughter is actually looking forward to go back to the dentist!

Took my 3-yo. for a first visit. They took us in very timely. Dr. Russo and dental hygienist were really nice. They both asked me if i had questions, concerns. They had nice recommendations for brushes/floss/tooth paste etc. The room was clean, they asked if we wanted tv on/off. Nice drawings from kids on the walls :). The waiting room was also nice and clean but I was expecting a few books or toys around to keep kids busy while waiting for the appt ( maybe they don't have it due to covid?), all staff was masked but no requirements for patients to be masked anymore. It was a very smooth first experience for us, and we already booked our 6-month check-up! I can highly recommend this dental office!

All 3 of my kids go to Montgomery Pediatric Dentistry and I'm very happy with them. We like seeing the same dental hygienist each time we go, the consistency is great. The doctors are extremely knowledgeable and able to answer all questions clearly. The office and waiting room are clean and the kids love getting a token to be able to get a prize at the end of their visit.

My girls had their first visit here today and they had a great experience. They were anxious and nervous about the appointment. The staff made the girls feel comfortable and at ease. They explained everything beforehand so the girls knew what to expect. They said it was the best experience they've had a dentist office. They gave nice goody bags for the girls and parent :) Would highly recommend them!
