A Van Wert, Ohio native, Dr. Katie Montgomery was an active participant in high school and church programs as a young lady. She says she was always interested in a career in the medical field, and when a family friend invited her to shadow him at his office, she realized that she wanted to go into dentistry.Dr. Montgomery finished her undergraduate degree in Biology, with a minor in Chemistry at Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana, and then returned to Ohio. Back in her home state, Dr. Katie began working toward a degree at The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. While in school, she was also the president of the American Student Dental Association. Upon receiving her Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2006, she joined a dental practice in Reynoldsburg, Ohio and was ultimately able to purchase her own practice in 2011.
A lifelong student, Dr. Katie enthusiastically continues to engage in educational seminars, including the prestigious Dawson Academy and Spear Education. Dr. Katie is also an active member of the Ohio Dental Association and the American Dental Association. In 2012, she was honored to become a member of the advisory board for The New Dentist magazine, where she contributed her expertise to a publication that helps new dentists develop and enhance their careers during their first 10 years of practicing. Along with helping mentor dentists, Dr. Katie encourages her patients to be proactive and informed in maintaining their oral health practices. She says that the best part of her job is being a positive influence on each patient's wellness journey, and she loves interacting with her patients and seeing their confidence in their smiles grow.
Dr. Katie and her husband, John, have three young sons that participate in activities in the community and keep them on their toes at home. When she gets free time, Dr. Katie loves exercising, playing piano, playing tennis, spending time with family, and traveling. During the season you can find her keeping up with OSU athletics a true Buckeyes fan for life!

I have always appreciated the caring way of the Dr. Montgomery and her expertise. Her staff from the receptionist to the dental assistants have been kind, good at what they do. Very personable. I am so pleased with this practice.

I had the misfortune of a gold crown I've had for over 25 years fail. Naturally it occurred over the inconvenience of the weekend. I was able to get in to see Dr Mongomery Monday morning. She was able to work her magic and reset my original gold crown, minimizing expense. If you are looking for a great Dentist and dental care experience, I strongly recommend you consider Dr. Katie Mongomery as your first choice.

I recently went to Montgomery Famil Dental for a set of upper dentures. Of course, I still had 6 teeth in the way, so those had to come out too. From the initial meeting, casting, fitting, the extractions (of which one tooth was really tough to extract), on to 3 sessions of adjustments over the 2 weeks following, I found Dr. Katie and her team were very much concerned about my needs and how they could meet them. Everyone I met was knowledgable, kind, and compassionate (shout out to Nikki). I highly recommend them.

I would highly recommend this dental practice. Dr. Montgomery and her staff are excellent and are all so friendly and welcoming. They provide upfront pricing and payment plans for services. If you have any questions, they are always answered thoroughly. They really do go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. If you ever had a bad experience or trauma in the past like I have had, this practice is the place to go. I'm a person who has been extremely leary and guarded when choosing a dentist after a very traumatizing experience when I was younger. I went through many "one appointment" dental visits to several different dental practices until I finally found one that I was very comfortable with in Dublin. Unfortunately, they were relocating their office and I decided to look for a dental practice closer to home and came across Montgomery family dental and I couldn't be happier that I did. Shortly after, my daughter left the dentist she had for a few years to switch to Dr. Montgomery's office. As funny as this may sound, my children are young adults who are out on their own and I still accompany them to their dental appointments, mainly due to my past trauma, as well as they have always wanted me to. Now my son has an excellent dentist that I'm very comfortable with him having...But my daughter, I wasn't entirely comfortable with her previous dentist's office. Now that she has switched, I am 100% fine with her going to a dental appt. by herself and she felt and even voiced the same to me after her first visit to Montgomery Family Dental. So yes, 5 stars all the way and highly recommend! They're killing it and doing everything right!
