Doctor Carr is a Board Certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon. He received his dental degree from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) in 2008. He received his medical degree and specialty training in oral and maxillofacial surgery from UCSF as well. Doctor Carr is an associate professor at UCSF and has taught facial trauma reconstruction at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital for several years.
Now, with the opening of Monterey Peninsula Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, the local community has access to University-level care without having to leave town. Special interests of Dr. Carrs include advanced bone grafting and dental implant surgery, sedation and general anesthesia, wisdom tooth removal, sleep apnea surgery and orthognathic surgery (jaw reconstruction).
Doctor Carr is very excited to be a part of the Monterey community. He lives in Carmel Valley with his lovely wife and two amazing daughters, Sydney and Elise. They keep him very busy at home and make everything worth the effort. When he does get time to pursue creative interests he can be found practicing photography.

Dr Carr and the team were all wonderful! Being and older patient I had a lot of concerns and they addressed all my concerns. They made me feel comfortable. Dr. Carr called personally at the end of the day of my procedure to check on me. His dedication, expertise and bedside manner are far superior to any Dentristry or surgery center I have been too. I highly recommend!

Very welcoming sweet women at desk. Corrina Took me into the room and spend some time with me she was absolutely wonderful and set me at ease. The dr was awesome. Im do glad i chose him.

Dr Carr is very skilled. I am in healthcare and understood my implant was somewhat complicated. Dr Carr explained everything and was confident he could make it work. He has done a wonderful job and is very concerned about patient comfort. I highly recommend him and his staff.

I am from Austria , currently on a road trip on the West coast. Suddenly my tooth hurt really bad. Dr Carr squeezed me in without an appointment. Unfortunately he could'nt help me. But he saw that I was in extrem pain so he called another dentist who could help me. Without his help I don't know how I would have survived my trip, so a big thanks and I would recommend him any time.

Dr. Carr and Amber are amazing. Dr. Carr took my wisdom teeth out quickly and easily. Amber who is his assistant I believe was literally so amazing. She was so kind and helpful. She made me feel safe and comfortable even though I was extremely scared for my procedure.
