Great service and very professional. I highly recommend them if you have a root canal.

I'm a nervous dental patient and was referred to Dr. Dean by my dentist after a nasty infection near a tooth with an older root canal and crown. After a $285 X-ray not covered by our supplemental dental plan, Doctor Dean saw the original root canal missed a root, so they needed to go back in. I asked if they would have to remove the crown, and he said, no, they just drill through then fill it afterwards. I was surprised that they could drill through a crown, but he made it sound commonplace. Then the morning of the procedure, I asked Marianne if the filling would be the same color as the crown, and she said yes, it would. As a nervous patient I was glad to pay extra for sedation. I have no recollection of the treatment or going home, and I was grateful to wake up mid afternoon with no pain knowing my treatment was complete. One day later, I felt an open hole in my crown/tooth.I called Dr. Dean's office and they discussed my TEMPORARY filling. After conversations with Dr. Dean beforehand, the billing person and Marianne on the morning of the procedure, NO ONE EVER mentioned this would just be a TEMPORARY filling. Remember...nervous patient so I now need to get ANOTHER appointment with my regular dentist for not only a filling...but likely a new crown. Not only are we talking THOUSANDS of dollars (about a thousand to Dr. Dean), but because of Covid, my dentist is unable to administer gas or any sedation PLUS because I've recently had my knee replaced, I'll need to take more amoxicillin. Speaking with Dr. Dean's office today, they said I should have been aware the filling was temporary because of the referral from my regular dentist. Have any of you ever been copied on a referral? I certainly haven't! Had I known ahead of the procedure, as a nervous patient I CERTAINLY would have specified to have the permanent filling completed while I was sedated. Although these details may seem commonplace to the professionals in Dr. Dean's office, they are NOT known to the general public. I am shocked and devastated find out after the procedure that I must go through one or two more dental procedures when it could have been completed yesterday had I been made aware of the details BEFORE the procedure.

Can a root canal possibly be a positive experience? With Dr Meckler and his assistants it definitely can be and is. The beautiful garden and the musical trip back to my youth had me drifting off to a more pleasant place than an endodontist's chair having a procedure that most people avoid at all costs. If doing this again ( which I must, unfortunately) Dr Meckler and his staff will be where I come to seek my piece of relief.

Great office, no wait, no pain and they easily handled my oversized wheelchair. I had to make payments by my third procedure in two months so I appreciated them working with me.

I have seen Dr. Meckler now for two separate root canals and I have nothing but praise for him and his caring team. I had an irrational fear of root canals at first but by the time the pain gets bad, you just want him to fix it. He is wonderful with pain control and making sure you are comfortable during the procedure. The office has a nice Zen feeling to it and puts you at ease. My most recent procedure was done on an emergency basis as my regular dentist was unavailable and I suspected that I would need a root canal anyway. I contacted his office and they were able to get me in and have the procedure done that same day. I cannot strrss how grateful I am to him and his team for addressing the issue so quickly. Wonderful clinic and highly recommended if you need an endodontist

I was out of town on a business trip when I started having a little and then a lot of trouble with a tooth. I phoned and emailed Dr. Meckler for advice, as it was related to a root canal. I had quite a few contacts with Dr. Meckler's office and everyone that I spoke with was super helpful and noticeably kind. Dr. Meckler suggested that I see a dentist while traveling to assess the situation, though he stayed in touch with me the entire time that I was traveling (4 weeks!). The dentist, while on the road, suggested pulling my tooth. I did not feel comfortable with this until I could see Dr. Meckler, which I did upon returning to Monterey. I have just come from Monterey Peninsula Endodontics and am very thankful that I did not have the tooth pulled as Dr. Meckler was able to help me without losing a tooth. I take great care of my teeth, but still suffer with a lot of dental problems. I have been to many dentists over the years, including endodontists. I have 100% trust in Dr. Meckler and would never consider seeing anyone else for the type of care that he provides. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Meckler (even if your dentist refers you elsewhere - you can request Dr. Meckler, which I have done on several occasions!). Again, thanks with all my heart, Dr. Meckler and staff!
