Tooth bonding is an economical alternative to porcelain veneers. Tooth bonding is a quick, effective treatment that is typically used to address minor to moderate dental concerns. If you have a more serious dental concern, like extremely worn or weakened teeth, a dental crown or veneer may be a better solution to increase strength and function.

Tooth bonding requires minimal to no tooth preparation. Since the treatment does not involve a dental lab, it can be completed in just one visit to Montclair Dental office. You can expect your results to last from three to ten years, depending on your level of care.

Cosmetic dentist Dr. Nikki Ancona offers tooth bonding in our Montclair, CA dental office. Our tooth bonding material comes in a variety of tooth shades allowing us to color-match it with your natural teeth. When performed by a talented cosmetic dentist like Dr. Nikki, it will be impossible to distinguish the bonded toot from your other teeth. Tooth bonding can be an effective solution to address your dental concerns.

Tooth bonding can last many years with proper care, so we consider it a desirable and affordable solution to these problems. However, before making a decision, patients need to know that this material is not stain-resistant. So those thinking about enhancing their smile with veneers should also consider the porcelain alternative to get more durable results.

Video 01:00 These days, theres no reason to settle for a smile thats less than ideal. Bonding is a dental technique that can improve the appearance of teeth by repairing chips, cracks, stains or gaps.

Tooth-colored fillings are often strengthened by the use of laser tools. Dr. Nikki uses lasers to kill bacteria and to provide a tight seal around the composite filling. This seal avoids a possible marginal leakage in the restoration, which can compromise the future of the filling.

Bonded teeth can darken and absorb stain but they cannot be lightened. If you are considering teeth whitening, we recommend you do it before the procedure. This way we can color-match the bonding material with the whitened teeth. It is also a good idea to avoid smoking and dark beverages such as tea, coffee, and red wine to avoid staining your newly bonded teeth.

The tooth bonding procedure only takes about thirty minutes to an hour and can be done right in our Montclair, CA dental office. We will first clean the teeth or tooth that will be bonded. A clean, plaque-free surface is an important step to ensuring successful results. Depending on the condition of the affected teeth, Dr. Nikki may need to remove a small amount of the surface structure. To accomplish this, she will apply a mild solution that will gently etch tiny pores in the tooth. This will create a rough surface that will allow the durable resin to bond sufficiently to your teeth.

Once the teeth are prepared, Dr. Nikki will apply the composite resin material onto the affected surfaces, filling the tiny spores to create a strong bond. She will carefully mold the composite resin into the desired shape to blend with your surrounding teeth. Once the desired aesthetic is reached, the composite resin is cured using a special UV light. Once hardened, Dr. Nikki will polish the teeth for a natural, beautiful luster.

Invisible braces can be an effective solution to straighten crooked or misaligned teeth. Invisible braces allow patients to discreetly and effectively address a wide range of orthodontic concerns. Unlike traditional metal braces, invisible braces straighten crooked teeth using clear, removable aligners. Custom designed clear aligners are an efficient, comfortable treatment for realigning crooked teeth that will not disrupt your professional or social life like traditional metal braces.

As our preferred method of invisible braces, cosmetic dentists Montclair Plaza Dental Group is a Montclair, CA, Orthosnap provider. Orthosnap is a clear, removable aligners system that gradually straightens crooked teeth. The goal of Orthosnap treatment is to gradually and gently realign crooked teeth to create a beautiful, healthier smile.

Orthosnap aligners are designed with the patients aesthetic and comfort in mind. Orthosnap aligners are custom made to fit snugly over the teeth, allowing for a portable, effective solution for a wide range of orthodontic issues. As a Montclair, CA Orthosnap provider, Dr. Nikki works with each patient to create a treatment plan that is right for them. The benefits of invisible braces include:

As the aligners are removable, you can take them out for eating, brushing, and flossing, and even for an important meeting or event. There are no diet restrictions, so you will be able to enjoy your favorite foods throughout the treatment. Say hello again to apples and sticky sweets!

At Montclair Dental Group, treatment planning is a vital part of creating personalized solutions to address a wider range of dental concerns. Dr. Nikki will work with each patient one on one to determine if invisible braces are right for their dental needs.

Your treatment will begin with Dr. Nikki taking impressions of your teeth using 3-D dental imaging technology. The impressions are sent to Orthosnap laboratory for fabrication. These impressions will be used to create custom-made, clear aligners that fit comfortably over the teeth.

Every couple of weeks you will receive a new set of aligners that will gradually move your teeth closer to the final position. For an effective treatment, patients should wear their aligner for at least 22 hours a day. This will leave you with plenty of time remove them so you can enjoy the foods you love and maintain good oral hygiene with thorough brushing and flossing. Cleaning your teeth properly is imperative to avoiding gum disease that may lead to missing teeth or bone loss.

The number of aligners and length of your Orthosnap treatment will depend on the problem(s) being addressed and desired result. For most people, the treatment usually lasts about four phases over about a years time.

Yes, they are essentially the same tooth straightening system, but thats where the comparison ends. Invisalign is the original clear aligner system. Orthosnap aligners are thinner than Invisalign, but that can make them more delicate. There are many factors to consider in order to compare the two options.

No. Orthosnap does not contain harmful chemicals that can cause tooth staining. Your clear aligners can not harm your teeth this way. Although, it is possible to stain the clear aligners! Remember to always remove your aligners before eating. Refrain from drinking coffee and wine with your aligners on.

Straightening your teeth will support long term dental health in addition to providing the smile you have always wanted. Invisible braces alleviate many of the hassles associated with traditional metal braces. Metal braces are very noticeable and unsightly. Oftentimes, food gets caught in the metal braces causing embarrassing situations especially for adults. You are very limited on your food choices with metal braces. Braces are permanently attached to your teeth where they will remain for 6 months up to 3 years making it difficult to brush your teeth and maintain proper oral hygiene. Metal braces are comprised of brackets that are bonded to your teeth then those brackets are connected with a thin metal wire which can often cause discomfort.

Porcelain veneers can address one or more damaged teeth to create a beautiful, natural-looking smile. Montclair, CA dentist Dr. Nikki offers a wide range of cosmetic dentistry solutions, including porcelain veneers. Porcelain veneers are designed to match seamlessly with your natural smile, creating a long-lasting, durable solution for a variety of cosmetic dental concerns. Porcelain veneers are thin, ceramic shells that are designed to fit comfortably over the existing teeth.

Porcelain veneers are custom-made to cover natural teeth entirely. They are a fantastic option for those looking for a dramatic smile makeover. The procedure takes fewer visits than most patients might expect. In just two or three visits, they can get the smile of their dreams. Veneers are reliable solutions, and with proper care, you can expect them to last many years. Porcelain veneers are a conservative option, as they require minimum alterations to the teeth. And last but not least, they are also stain-resistant, which makes them a better choice than composite resin bonding.

Designing porcelain veneers may require 2-3 visits to our Montclair, CA dental office. Dr. Nikki will perform a full comprehensive exam to determine the condition of your teeth and address any underlying dental concerns. If porcelain veneers are right for you, we use 3-D imaging to create impressions the teeth.

At the next visit, Dr. Nikki will prepare the teeth to be treated by removing a minimal amount of tooth surface structure (about one half of a millimeter) for optimal, comfortable placement of the veneers. Enamel removal sometimes requires a small amount of local anesthesia, but many patients need no numbing. Dental impressions will then be taken to be used in fabricating your porcelain veneers. The impressions are sent to a trusted lab where a skilled ceramist will make your veneers by hand. Your completed restorations will be ready in approximately two to three weeks.

Once your custom-made and color matched veneers are ready, we will permanently secure them and make any necessary adjustments for fit at our Montclair, CA dentist office. Dr. Nikki will clean your tooth to ensure a tight bond with the veneer. Shell use bonding cement and a special light to permanently affix your veneers and revitalize your smile. In the end, patients will have a beautiful smile that can last a lifetime.

No. Porcelain veneers are made of a highly stain-resistant material that is not affected by teeth whitening procedures. Porcelain veneers will almost never need to be whitened. If your veneers are discolored, we can replace them.

No. Dental insurance rarely covers elective cosmetic procedures. They may cover part of the treatment if the veneers are used to repair chipped and broken teeth. Contact your specific provider for details about your dental insurance plan.

You can get as many dental veneers as you need. There is no limit to how many you can get, but the procedure may be spread throughout a couple of days. Alternatively, you can combine porcelain veneers treatment with other cosmetic dental procedures for a full smile makeover.

Professional teeth whitening is a cost-effective, long-lasting cosmetic dental solution used to whiten the smile. Teeth that are discolored and stained will dull your smile and may even cause you to be self-conscience. Teeth whitening can be a quick solution to transform and brighten your smile.

We encourage every patient to visit the Montclair Plaza Dental Group office to discuss which option will suit their unique needs. One of our dentists will take the time to better explain both treatments to the patient and the pros and cons of each one. Both the patient and the dentist will work together to choose the best possible solution. Patients seeking for a more economical solution tend to select the at-home whitening kits. However, they need to understand that results are slower than with the in-office treatment.

The dental implant process will involve several trips to our Montclair, CA dentist office and a typical case will be completed in six to eight months. In most cases, every step of the implant process will take place at Montclair Plaza Dental Group. Our dentists and staff will work with you through the entire process to guarantee consistent and quality results.

Planning The planning that goes into dental implants is the most important part of the process. Using advanced technology, one of our expert dentists will conduct a full mouth examination as well as review your medical history to make sure you qualify for implants. The number of implants and where they need to be placed will be carefully mapped out. A clear and concise plan will guarantee the best possible results.

Preparation Preparing for the surgical implantation may involve nothing or several things. Do you suffer from gum disease? Then you will need to undergo treatment for that. Do you need teeth extracted? Those will need to be removed first and, for the best results, allowed time to heal properly. Do you have enough bone to support the implants? If you do not, then you may need to undergo a sinus lift or bone graft. Do you smoke or use tobacco? To give your implants the best possible chance for success, you will need to quit using tobacco altogether. All of these things will need to be addressed to guarantee the success of the implants.

Surgical Implantation The placement of the dental implants will involve a surgical procedure. Here, the small titanium posts will be placed in the jaw bone in the predetermined location. A single implant will only take about an hour to place. Multiple dental implants can take up to three hours to place. In most cases, this step can be performed here in our Montclair, CA dentist office. The implants sit just below the gum line where they will fuse with the surrounding bone over a period of about three to six months.

Abutment Placement After the implant has fully fused with the surrounding jaw bone, you will return for a minor procedure. Here the gums will be opened up and a small piece called an abutment will be attached to the implant. This will serve as the foundation for the permanent dental restoration. After the abutment is placed, the gum tissue will need a few weeks to heal.

Placing the Restoration Once your gums are fully healed, your Montclair, CA dentist will place your permanent dental restoration. If you are missing one tooth, a single dental implant will be used to secure a dental crown. If you are missing several consecutive teeth, at least two dental implants will be used to secure a dental bridge. For multiple, non-consecutive missing teeth, anywhere from two to eight dental implants will be used to secure a denture on an arch.

This is completely dependent on your unique circumstances. A single missing tooth can be replaced in a healthy mouth in six months or less. However, if you require any of the above listed preparations, the entire process will take longer to accommodate additional treatments and healing times. In severe cases, the implant process can take up to a year. It is important to remember that this is not a simple process. It involves time and patience for the best possible outcome. In most cases, we will be able to place temporary teeth for function and aesthetic purposes.

i went there because it had good reviews and i made a big mistake. i called made an appointment because they were in my network of doctors. they ran my insurance etc... and we were good. I got x-rays done and examined and they gave me the estimate and i paid my deductible and left. the price did not sit well with me so i did some checking and not only did they plan to over charge me for the procedures the claimed they were out of my network when i confronted them to justify the prices when they clearly were. they are not honest and i lost out on my damn deductible i will have too look elsewhere. so do yourself a favor and ask if they are in your network even though their add and website claim they are.
