Dr. Edward D. Gold is passionate about the practice of orthodontics because of the satisfaction he gets from helping patients. Becoming an orthodontist requires a great deal of hard work and dedication. Dr. Gold attended Lycoming College where he earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree. From there he continued on to Howard University, earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree. Dr. Golds Certificate in Orthodontics was earned at the Albert Einstein Medical Center.

Continuing education is vital to the practice of orthodontics. Dr. Gold participates in many local and national continuing education courses each year. This allows him to stay informed of the most current research and trends in orthodontics and all areas of dentistry. This enables Montclair Orthodontics to add fresh ideas to our proven techniques, and provide excellent care to our patients. Attending courses in other areas of dentistry ensures that our patients will receive the most complete and comprehensive care available.

Being a mentor to the next generations of orthodontists is very important to Dr. Gold. He gives a series of lectures to the dental residents in our area and is an attending orthodontist at Mountainside and St. Barnabas hospitals. Dr. Gold has also lectured to his dental colleagues on early orthodontic treatment and inter-disciplinary care. He has served as chairperson for the orthodontic specialty peer review committee for the New Jersey Dental Association since 2004. Dr. Gold has been selected year after year by the dentists in the state of New Jersey to receive the Top Orthodontist award in the New Jersey Monthly Magazine. He was also the contributing orthodontist in Bobbi Browns book, Teenage Beauty.

Away from office, Dr. Gold contributes his expertise to the local community. He has been the Montclair Chairman for National Childrens Dental Health Month and has delivered programs to most of Montclairs third grade students during February and March since 1987. He has also provided service to the New Jersey Foundation of Dentistry for Persons with Disabilities continuously since 1990.

Dr. Golds number one activity is spending time with his family. In quieter moments you may find him reading or even hear him practicing piano. Youll also find him enjoying almost everything outdoors; from playing tennis and golf to skiing, running, hiking, biking, canoeing and gardening. Since 2012, Dr. Gold has completed six marathons; including Philadelphia, New York, Chicago, and Boston. If you attend a local 5K or 10K race, you are likely to see Dr. Gold. Your cheers will help him reach the finish line!

Dr. Hadley A. Rubino receives great joy and satisfaction from knowing the positive differences she makes in the lives of her patients. First as an orthodontic patient and now as an orthodontist, shes seen firsthand how an exceptional smile increases a patients confidence and self-esteem. Dr. Rubino says, From a very young age I knew I wanted to be an orthodontist, and each day I come to work Im reminded of the difference Im able to make. No two days are the same, and I truly enjoy the challenges this field presents. I have my patients to thank for making each day amazing and full of smiles.

We have been blessed with the most wonderful patients. I have met the sweetest children and most interesting adults through our practice. I truly enjoy getting to know my patients and their families, and seeing their smiles transform as they undergo orthodontic treatment.

Dr. Rubino believes a sound education and ongoing training are essential to providing the most effective and efficient care to her patients. As an undergraduate, she attended the University of Michigan Ann Arbor, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree. Dr. Rubino received her Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, located in Boston, Massachusetts, while also completing an Honors Program in Orthodontics. Dr. Rubino continued her studies at Tufts and completed her Orthodontic residency program, earning her Certificate in Orthodontics. While at Tufts, she was on the Deans List, received Honors on National Board examinations, and was granted a Merit Scholarship. Dr. Rubino also instructed Operative Dentistry students and performed research in the field of myofunctional therapy.

Dr. Rubino understands the importance of staying current with the latest research and technologies in the field of orthodontics. She frequently attends local and national continuing education courses, conferences and seminars, as well as regularly studying industry research publications. This commitment to her continuous professional development ultimately benefits her patients by providing them with optimal orthodontic care and treatment. Dr. Rubino is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, a distinction awarded as a result of successful written examination and case presentations where patients must be treated to the highest standards.

After completing her formal dental and orthodontic training and before partnering with Dr. Gold to form Montclair Orthodontics, Dr. Rubino worked as an associate in two other successful orthodontic practices one in central Massachusetts and the other in Millburn, New Jersey.

Because of the value she places on her own education, Dr. Rubino believes it is important to share her knowledge and experience with those around her. She is a speaker for Childrens Dental Health Month and travels to local classrooms to speak about the merits of oral health care and good nutrition.

The Montclair Orthodontics team is a warm, friendly and courteous group of professionals. They all cherish and adore the community. Montclair Orthodontics has partnered with the Yard School of Art at the Montclair Art Museum to showcase pieces created by local children throughout our office. Dr. Rubino says, Its a wonderful way to celebrate the talent in our community and make the office bright and exciting. The office supports local causes such as the MFEE, YMCA of Montclair, Montclair Recreation Baseball and Softball program, Glen Ridge Community Fund via the Fitzgeralds Lager Run, Montclair Art Museum, Montclair Scholarship fund, Project Graduation Montclair, Project Graduation Glen Ridge, Montclair Celebrates4th of July and many others. Our practice also supports valuable national causes such as World Impact, Fisher House, Wounded Warrior Project, and the Red Cross.

Dr. Rubino met her husband, John, while living in Boston, and they relocated to New Jersey just before their wedding.They have two sons, George and James; and a Great Dane named Thatcher.In her spare time, Dr. Rubino enjoys spending time with her boys, running, riding her Peloton bike, skiing, and dining at Montclairs many outstanding restaurants. She enjoys going for long runs and has completed the Cape Cod Marathon and the Boston Marathon twice! These days, you may find Dr. Rubino participating in local 5K and 10K races.

Emma started working with us in 2016 but has been around the office before that as a patient! Amidst her busy college schedule at William Patterson University she helps us with various office tasks both at the front desk and in the treatment area. She enjoys spending time with her family and four siblings and is very active with her church. Emma also lives with her 5 cats and 2 rescue dogs! She plans to earn her Master of Divinity and Master of Science in Social Work at Union Seminary.

Judy has been in the dental field since 1979 and started here in 1990. She assists in the treatment area as well as at the front desk. Judy also enjoys decorating our office for the various holidays! Judy loves working with a great team, great patients and enjoys the upbeat and positive atmosphere in the office. She is a native of Bloomfield, NJ, and lives there with her son, Christopher. She enjoys spending free time having fun with family and friends.

You will see Jackie both at the front desk and in the treatment area. She has worked in all areas of the dental field since 1986 and earned her RDA in 1999. Jackie is a native of Wayne and lives there with her children Sydney, Riley, and Gavin. She enjoys spending time with her friends, trying new restaurants, movies, and being a soccer mom!

Vivi was born and raised in Brazil. She came to the United States to pursue her dream to learn English and challenge herself. Vivi earned her RDA in 2017, has been working with us since 2019, and loves orthodontics! The most rewarding aspect of dentistry for her is seeing how changing a persons smile can transform their life. Vivi enjoys outdoor activities, yoga, meditation and attending live concerts.

Carol has been in the dental field since 2006 and earned her RDA in 2013. She loves working with children of all ages and seeing the smile transformations from orthodontic treatment. Carol is a native of Colombia and moved to the USA when she was 18. She lives in Clifton with her lovely family: her fianc Ivan, her sons Samuel and Esteban and 2 dogs Toby and Luigy. She loves to travel and enjoys outdoor activities with family and friends.

Marcelle started working here in 2004, but shes been around our office for a lot longer; Dr. Gold was her own orthodontist! She loves seeing the transformation of our patients from when they first enter our office to when their braces are removed. Marcelle was born and grew up in Philadelphia, PA, and now resides in Cedar Grove. She enjoys listening to jazz, working out, taking long walks in the park, and getting together with friends.
