Dr. Moussa graduated from Damascus University College of Dentistry in 1993. He then served two years in the army, performing dental services in clinics and hospitals before launching a successful private practice abroad.
When Dr. Moussa became intrigued by the exciting field of implantology and cosmetic dentistry here in the United States, he closed his private practice and was accepted to the prestigious New York University Dental School. The emphasis of his studies there included implant and cosmetic dentistry. He graduated from New York University in May 2003 and was offered the position of Associate Professor of Implantology in their postgraduate program.
Dr. Moussa also spent an additional year of didactic and clinical training at the Rosenthal Institute in Manhattan, New York City, to perfect his skills in aesthetic dentistry. This training included porcelain veneers and full-porcelain restorations. He continues his close relationship with the university and regularly attends continuing education courses to increase his knowledge of the latest cutting-edge technology.
He maintains memberships in several prestigious associations, including the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the International Congress of Oral Implantology, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and the LANAP Laser Therapy Center. Dr. Moussa is also a LANAP Certified Clinician and LAPIP Certified Clinician and a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.

Dr. Moise Nawlo is an experienced dentist and implantologist known for his expertise and dedication to the science and practice of dentistry. He continually strives to be on the cutting edge of his profession, in terms of technical proficiency, clinical skills, and patient care.
Dr. Nawlo received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from New York University (NYU) College of Dentistry. He continued his studies at The Pankey Institute, a world-renowned provider of advanced dental education, completing the sleep medicine training at the Institute. To strengthen his credentials, he earned certifications in Conscious Sedation and performing the LANAP Protocol (Laser-Assisted New Attachment Procedure), the only FDA-approved laser treatment for periodontal disease. He has been a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI) since 2005.

Dr. Joseph Blum, DMD, has expertise in numerous dental procedures with a particular specialization in oral surgery, implant surgery and restoration, regenerative procedures, and complex endodontics (including anterograde retreats). For the last 16 years, he has been practicing interdisciplinary dentistry in private practice. He is a Diplomate (Board Certified) of the American Board of Oral Implantology an honor which only 28 dentists in NYS (350 nationwide) have accomplished, specialists included. He does 99.9% of all dentoalveolar surgical dentistry (including but not limited to Wisdom teeth, implants, sinus lifts, Grafts, GBR, GTR, and all periodontal surgeries).
Dr. Blum brings the combined experience and education of an implantologist, periodontist, oral surgeon, and prosthodontist, in addition to having performed these specialized procedures for the past 10 years. He is originally from Lido Beach, NY and graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine (Farmington, CT) with the Sigma Xi Award for original research in Bone Biology. He trained at the residency program at Montefiore Medical Center/ Albert Einstein College of Medicine graduating with special training in Oral Surgery and Emergency Care.
After residency, Dr. Blum completed 3 years of advanced training in Implantology at New York University Dental School in addition to the program in Cosmetic Rehabilitation at University of Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Blum is uniquely qualified to render both implant and cosmetic procedures having obtained University-based certification in both areas. Over the last 15 years Dr. Blum has received thousands of hours of continuous training and experience in the areas of oral surgery, implantology, endodontics, and prosthetic/cosmetic rehabilitation.
Dr. Blum is a Board Certified dental practitioner of the American Board of Oral Implantology, an honor which only 350 dentists nationwide have accomplished. Thus making him one of the foremost authorities on dental implants.

Booked a firs appointment more than 9 months ago, waited over an hour and still not seen so I asked them to cancel it. The office called three times to confirm I would be on time. I was early for my appointment and they had more than 5 people waiting ahead of me. I found a better dentist in town. Today I receive an email stating I have an appointment today at 12:00pm that I never made myself. Made me weary as leads to believe they may be charging my insurance for appointments or services I never received. I chatted online with their service who stated they can't cancel it and I would have to call their office. A bit sketchy and scary, also taking time from my job to call this office and my insurance.

Found their advertisement on Facebook. Went to check out the reviews and I thought I would have had a welcoming thorough consultation. Far from it. Just to say the front staff was not very welcoming since I did not fill the online forms. The whole office was made aware that I did not fill out the forms online. I asked how long is the wait her reply, ' as long as it takes you to fill out the paperwork." (not in nice tone) I was taken to the back room where someone who did not identify themselves ask what brings you to the office today. I explained that I saw their ads and I'm apprehensive going to a dentist and wanted a consultation. I won't go into detail from this point on. Let's just say that person made me feel as if I was broke and humiliated me. I mean she wasn't even the dentist. After two conversations explaining I'm only here for the consult and I would like to see a dentist. The dentist came in and again didn't feel no welcoming vibes. I told her my concerns and she did a 2 minute check said I needed laser something and 6 veneers. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Then she said the receptionist will be back with your treatment plan. When the nice receptionist came to speak to me about my plan. I had no clue what she was talking about as the dentist did not explain any of the plan with me or how procedure would go. I ended up not wasting anymore of their time kindly let the receptionist know how I was taken aback from the whole experience and left. Just to say in the other room they were speaking negativity of one of the dentist and the practice in Spanish as if noone would understand. The treatment plan with no veneers was about 10,500$. And who is gonna spend that kind of money somewhere they are not treated well. Everyone deserves to be treated fair And kind. Especially in health care fields. Far from it here.

Coming to Montclair Dental for implants was the best decision of my life! My implants, although these are still temps, are wonderful. I can eat anything, digest and chew my food better and even lost 50 lbs so far in 8 months! Total win win. The office is super clean, the staff is wonderful, dentists, cleaning, all staff beyond great. I recommend 100%

Home is a word we describe as a place where we feel safe, comfortable, and protected from judgment. That's how I describe, Montclair Dental Spa. Dr. Moussa and his team made me feel that I was safe in their hands and I truly was and am. Dr. Moussa has cultivated an environment where everyone is considered family even the patients. In October of 2021, I was unfortunately in an accident that caused me to chip my front teeth. My chipped teeth made me feel embarrassed to even smile. Other dentists would do a quick fix and just fill/ bond the chipped teeth but that did not resolve the issue. My first appointment was quick and easy, Dr. Moussa explained in detail what was going to happen including the timeline of the process, and how to take care of my teeth along with things to avoid. Dr. Moussa asked me an important question, what do I personally expect from this procedure all I could think about was being able to regain my confidence when speaking to someone and just feeling like myself again. After waiting a short period so that the teeth could be made, they finally came in! I was nervous and excited all at the same time. The process was painless and took approximately an hour and a half. I couldn't be more ecstatic with my results and I thank Dr. Moussa and his family for taking me in and taking care of me. I truly recommend Dr. Moussa, you're in safe hands.

Honestly couldn't ask for a better dental experience. I came in because I had a cracked filling and Dr. Fariba ( sorry if I'm spelling incorrectly!) saved me from a root canal! I had follow up concerns and came back in and was treated with such great care and respect. Truly impressive! Staff is also kind,caring and helpful. Will definitely be back. Highly recommend!

10/10 incredible dentist. Look no further. I rarely leave reviews but this was just so great. I wish every dentist experience was an amazing as my first time at Montclair Dental Arts. I came in for an initial consultation for an issue that two previous dentists were unable to solve. The doctor listened carefully, and after a little investigating, identified the problem. It's not easy to articulate what's happening on the back of your teeth but the team at MDA was so patient and empathetic, constantly checking in to make sure I was comfortable, and refusing to stop until they figured it out. Ultra professional and intelligent people. Not only was the dentist able to truly listen and understand my problem but he FIXED IT ON THE SPOT AND DID NOT CHARGE ME A DIME!

My experience at Dr. Moussa's office has been nothing less than wonderful. His staff is wonderful. I was very nervous and hesitant to get implant surgery but from the moment I sat in the chair to have my surgery to the minute I left I was taken care of by every doctor to the fullest extent! they made me feel relaxed and they reassured me that everything was going to be OK that I was going to be OK . after my surgery I felt no pain two days later I never had pain never took my pain medication everything has been wonderful I would highly highly recommend Dr. Moussa's office to anyone. Dr. Blum who did my surgery is amazing!

I've had some bad experiences with other dentists in the past, my experience at Montclair Dental Spa has been nothing but great. Everyone on staff is very friendly and they talk you through all the procedures/work that is being done. I would recommend them to anyone.

Being a client here has been a wonderful expereince. Dr. Moussa and his staff are great. Very, loving , caring, and attentative staff from front desk to the back of office. I highly recommend this dental staff. It definitely is like a spa, but for you mouth. Very clean office as well.
