Fondly referred to as No-Pain Montane by his patients, experienced dentist Dr. Jorge Montane works hard to ensure that every visit to our office is unmatched in comfort and satisfaction.
As a child in Cuba, Dr. Montane would frequently visit his uncles dental practice and admire the bonds his uncle developed with members of the community and the positive impact he made in the lives of his patients. It was during these early years that Dr. Montane developed the passion for dentistry that would follow him the rest of his life.
After moving to America with his family, he worked diligently toward becoming a dentist. Every academic decision was made to propel him in the direction of his dream. After earning his doctorate of Dental Surgery from the Medical College of Virginia, he began practicing in 1983, and opened his own practice in 1985.
The team at Montane Dental Care is more than just a collection of dental professionals working in the same office. We are a close-knit family. In fact, Dr. Montanes father, who is now in his 90s, has been a beloved fixture in the practice for many years, helping with clerical work and adding to our offices feeling of home. This warm atmosphere extends to our patients, who we treat like members of our family, with respect, honesty and compassion.
We pride ourselves on being more than just another dental office; we are a dental home. We firmly believe that a visit to the dentist should never be a cold, clinical experience. When you visit our practice, you will feel valued and welcome.
Dr. Montane serves patients of all ages, from toddlers to seniors. He understands that children require a gentle, personable approach. While many dentists may be technically qualified to treat children, not enough are focused on making sure every experience is a positive one that will be remembered fondly for decades to come. Dr. Montane understands how important these early interactions are and makes an extra effort to ensure your child has a rewarding experience.
Having moved from Cuba as a Spanish-speaking child, Dr. Montane understands firsthand how important it is to be accepted and understood. We are proud to be a Spanish-speaking dental office. Providing exceptional dental services requires the ability to communicate clearly with our patients about everything from procedures and options to calendars and financing.
Dental emergencies can occur at any time. If you develop an abscess, knock out a tooth or suffer some other pressing issue that requires emergency dental care, we take calls all day, every day. If it is a genuine emergency, we will do everything we can to get you into the office as quickly as possible. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, you should visit the emergency room immediately.
The dental profession has allowed me to help my patients lead healthier, happier lives. In turn, I receive personal and professional satisfaction in knowing I've contributed to a positive change in the lives of people I genuinely care about. Every day I spend caring for amazing people, keeping them out of pain, restoring dental function, and enabling them to smile with confidence. I've been practicing dentistry since 1983. I joined the profession as my uncle was a highly respected dentist back in our hometown. While growing up, I'd frequently go by his office and watch him work. He was so kind and gentle with his patients, and they all liked him. He always seemed so happy being a dentist, and spoke about the bonds he'd formed with those in his care. I wanted to feel the same way.
There 's one commonality among all of my patients: they have, at some level, a fear of seeing the dentist. I love to be able to readily change that mindset, by offering painless care through sedation dentistry. It 's truly music to my ears when a patient calls me 'No Pain Montane.' That 's quite a compliment!
My Doctorate of Dental Surgery was awarded at the Medical College of Virginia. I'm passionate about furthering my knowledge and expanding my skills, in order to provide my patients with the highest quality care, so I pursue continuing education. Some of the courses I've taken have focused on implant placement, bone grafting, cosmetic restorations, pain management, and adult orthodontics.
I was born on the eastern coast of Cuba and came to this beautiful country, specifically to California, in 1964, fleeing communism. I've lived in Danville since 1988 and love being part of this community. I'm married with three children: a teenage son and two young daughters. My family is a blessing. Every day I come home and am instantly reminded of how fortunate I am.
When I'm not working, I love being with my family. We enjoy going to the beach, relaxing in the sand, and watching and listening to the waves. I used to love to mountain bike, but can no longer do so competitively as a result of an auto accident. So now I enjoy taking the little ones to the park, the zoo, and on other outings.
Personally, I'm passionate about the freedom we experience each and every day here in the United States, and I hope my children realize the privileges that freedom brings us. I want my children to really appreciate what they have in this regard.

Covid caution and cleaning is followed 100% here. Surface was cleaned very often. Had real pleasant dentist visit. The doctor explained the issue completely and fix was perfect (dental work need medical and artist touch). Doctor shown real care for my teeth and oral health.

I recently did implant procedure from Dr. Montane, The day the part 1 procedure was done, I was very scared about the pain and suffering i would have to go thru. I went ahead and got the strongest pain killers. But to my surprise I just took one the night of procedure and walla no pain at all on day 2. The healing was super smooth too.

For the first time in my life I have finally found a Dentist that actually cares about the health of my teeth and I feel no pain whatsoever, YAY!!!! Wonderful staff and very professional. Only thing that could make this simply perfect would be a lollipop like when I was a kid

All I have to say is Montane Dental Care is by far the best dentist I've been to so far my whole life have never had a dentistry that is so thorough with their procedures and double checking... I went in for deep cleaning and omg Georgia is adorable and handle and explain instructions and did an amazing job. She made sure my teeth were superb. After procedure she even went back double checking up make sure she didn't miss anything... my teeth have never felt this wonderful ever.. I go to dentist twice a year and never got treated with so much professionalism and care... this place comes highly recommended.. staff is wonderful Terry made sure I had no issues with my insurance and also prompt a day before if there was any issues... again highly recommended and will be coming here often... thanks Georgia and thank you Montane Dental..excited and can't wait to come in for my Implant.. see you in a few weeks Dr. Montane..you run a perfect team...

We have had all kinds of major treatments there from wisdom tooth extraction, root canal, dental bridge, gum graft, to implants. And always happy with the results. Dr Montane is very mindful of the patient's comfort and does a great job in minimizing and most of times eliminating any pain. Yanet who is in charge of billing is wonderful too, she provides detailed itemized bill with insurance approved cost before any procedure and there is no ambiguity.

I find his dental assistants and dental hygienist to be very professional and personal as well. The front staff are so friendly, I've had some really nice conversations with them.
