Dr. David Wilcox is dedicated to providing each one of his patients with comprehensive and compassionate dental care, expertly tailored to their needs, preferences, and wishes. Whether a patient needs extensive restorative dentistry or whether a patient would simply like to maintain their healthy smile for many years to come, Dr. Wilcox is committed to providing everyone in his chair with a roadmap to oral health that reflects both their dental history and their oral health goals for the future.
Dr. Wilcox grew up on a farm in rural Western Pennsylvania. After earning his degree in biology from the University of Montana, he attended dental school at the University of Pittsburgh followed by an intensive one year general practice residency at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. During his residency, he gained advanced training in a wide range of procedures and specialties, including Family Medicine, Anesthesiology, Conscious Sedation, and Emergency/Trauma. In addition, he learned in detail how to closely and accurately evaluate a patients total oral health needs and create a comprehensive plan to meet those needs.
After starting his first dental practice in Nevada following his residency, Dr. Wilcox returned to Missoula and opened Montana Dental Arts. Outside of the office, Dr. Wilcox enjoys spending time with his wife, Crista, and their four young children. He spends his free time hunting, fishing, kayaking, and keeping up with Grizzly Football.

I have been recommending them for years. I love their friendly and professional team of staff, and the facility is always very clean and welcoming. Every visit has been pleasant and as painless as possible, both literally and with ease of billing/insurance issues. They are sensitive to patients' needs, and I like the polite reminders they text to me leading up to appointments. I'm one of the few people I know who actually looks forward to going to my dental appointments, and that's because of Montana Dental Arts.

I had a crown fall of during the weekend. I called Dr. Wilcox on Monday and his staff got me in the next day. He talked me through the process of fixing the tooth so this wouldn't happen again. Thank you to Dr. Wilcox and his friendly staff for taking such good care of me.

I have been going to Montana Dental Arts for five years now. I have never been happier with a dental office. At 66 years old, I have been to a few dentists and known a few dental hygienists. My dentist here is very kind, understanding and clear in his communication. All of the three dental hygienists I have visited have been extremely thorough, gentle and patient. In fact, I like all three of them so much, it's really tough to decide who to ask for when scheduling. Every time I visit, the entire staff here seems to really enjoy each other and they genuinely seem to enjoy their patients. I used to have extremely sensitive teeth and after heeding the suggestions of my hygienist and my dentist, my teeth are losing their sensitivity and are feeling more normal. I couldn't be happier. The suggested dental regime I now follow was easy to do and my recent visit was not only pain free, but it was, for the first time in my memory, actually enjoyable. My teeth cleaning was like getting a nice back scratch in the place you can't reach. I can recommend Montana Dental Arts without reservation. These guys are great!

Went in to get a chipped filling looked at. Let Dr Wilcox and his staff know my situation and was able to get an appointment for a few hours later got it fixed the same day! All of the staff have always been extremely helpful and professional.
