As a dentist, I have been blessed with the ability to help people in need. Seeing and caring for people with all types of oral health issues, and using my abilities to get them out of pain and improve their smile, makes me feel good. I know I made the right decision when I chose the dental profession: I like making a positive difference in the lives of my patients, people I care about and who I want to have healthier, happier lives.
I became a dentist because I wanted to have the knowledge to improve peoples lives, health, and wellbeing. When I am able to use my skills and experience to help a patient, whether they have a bothersome toothache, a cracked tooth, or they want a brighter smile, I know that their life will be better as a result of what I have done for them and that is incredibly rewarding.
Too, I appreciate the long-term relationships I have developed with many of my patients. They have become more than patients: they have become friends. Our conversations are wonderful and I always learn something during our chats. Even after 47 years of practicing dentistry, I still look forward to coming to work each morning, because I know Im going to have some fascinating interactions and be presented with some treatment challenges, which will stimulate my mind and call on my abilities in order to meet the needs of my patients, the needs of my friends.
I was awarded my Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Manhattan College, New York University. Since that time, I have actively pursued continuing education opportunities in all aspects of dentistry, in order to broaden my knowledge and hone my skills. My patients trust me to provide the right, proven care for their unique needs and I can only do that if I stay up-to-date with the newest technologies and treatment methodologies. I have been a member of the Panky-Mann Study Club for 40 years, and that organization continues to provide me with relevant oral healthcare information and chances to learn.
Ive lived in Layton, NJ, for more than twenty years. My family is my highest priority and I love spending time with my wife Sharon, six children, and nine grandchildren. Were animal people and have two dogs, seven horses, and 30 Hereford show cattle.
I tend to stay active when Im not at the office. Handball is my passion, but I enjoy water and snow skiing, horseback riding, and watching my son show his cattle, too. Im also a Board Member of the 20 Club, which serves the needs of First Responders.
I was born on August 8th, 1976 in Manhassett, NY. These are both very important facts to know in order to get to know me. For one, that makes me a Leo and a Leo I am. I am a true competitor in everything I get my hands on from striving to add the most value into my patient's lives through the dental experience we give them to never give up on the tennis court to being the best Dad and Husband I can be.
Secondly, I was born with a thick New York 'sometimes thuggish sounding' accent that no matter how hard I try, I just can 't shake. Add my accent to the fact that I do not hesitate to speak my mind (only like a true New Yorker does) and boy, I can get myself in a lot of trouble, especially with my BEAUTIFUL, genius wife Melissa. (If you saw me now, I would be patting myself on the back.) I have held a few nicknames over the years, including Osh in my high school and Air Force days, Dr.O by my patients and staff, and Babo when Melissa is happy with me. Over the past two years, my family has grown from two people to four with our latest addition: my son Julian Jamie Oshidar. We already have our daughter Arianna Layla Oshidar, who absolutely has me whipped. Trust me, if you become a patient here, you will hear all about my babies.
I don't have this overly compelling or wonderful story as to why I became a dentist, but I can truly say I am really happy I did. The truth is my dad wanted all three of his sons to become doctors and in turn, he got two dentists and chiropractor. I love what I do, not because I am the best dentist in the world (which I am close to being) but because my practice gives me the opportunity to help people achieve a better quality of life. I not only do this through my hands-on dentistry, but I love to coach, educate, and advise my patients, staff, and others as well basically, whoever will appreciate what I have to teach.
I am best known for my drive to succeed and the unique humor I add to pretty much anything I do. Life would be terribly boring if there was a definitive end to what you could accomplish if you couldn't laugh while doing it.

If I could give zero stars I would and just tell you that these people put me on life support and nearly killed me. I had a root canal done by them and they have me antibiotics for a heart condition before the procedure when they should have both before AND after. The work was done so horribly they released an infection into my bloodstream that gave me endocarditis and almost killed me. I was put on life support and my wife was told to say goodbye to me 3 weeks after our son was born. I was given a mechanical heart valve from the damage they caused as well as a pacemaker. My heart was damaged so severly I had to be given this pacemaker at 36 .Please go to someone else do not trust them.

I was unhappy with my Dentist of the past 12 years and after speaking with a friend, he mentioned that he had been going to Montague Dental for the past 25+ years so I gave them a call. I couldn't be happier. I just had my initial visit about 3 weeks ago and it was great

Excellent work and customer service! I felt comfortable and at home with them all. Every person in the office from Sharon at the front desk to the doctor himself are exemplary and I will be back! They make going to the dentist a pleasant experience:)

I came here last month and saw Dr. Duddy to get some fillings done, now I'm back for more dental work and I wouldn't come anywhere else, Dr. Duddy knows what he's doing and he's very thorough with his work and his staff is awesome as well, Erin is so great keeping my anxiety at bay. Would recommend Montague Dental to anyone!

Both Dr. Duddy and Dr. Roth are excellent dentists. They both are detailed and have always taken good care of my tooth problems and/or concerns.

I must say, I was amazed by this office. For one, making appointments in todays day is hard due to certain restrictions in certain offices however, we came in for my husband and I annual cleaning and had to bring our 4 and 1 year old with us. The staff welcomed us with open arms, took away any anxiety I had of the kids being there in the middle of everything, and truly let us enjoy our experience. The office manager took my daughter outside with another little girl to go on a scavenger hunt and kept them entertained behind the desk for the whole visit. Not to mention, my 1 year old received flowers from them. We felt care for, valued and couldn't recommend this office enough. Thank you for the hospitality, the expertise, the service and most of all the love.
