Dr. Monheiser has been practicing in Blue Springs for over 30 years after graduating from the UMKC Dental School in 1983. He is very active in obtaining continuing education hours and is committed to providing the best dental care to his patients. He is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry and the American Dental Implant Association.
Dr. Monheiser graduated from Blue Springs High School in 1973 and William Jewell College in 1978. Besides dentistry, he enjoys spending time with his family, especially his 2 granddaughters, playing golf, running, and coaching high school football.
Dr. Clay was born and raised in Jefferson City, MO. He comes from a family of farmers and found his passion for dentistry during high school. He earned his bachelors degree from Missouri State University in Springfield, MO graduating magna cum laude. He earned his D.D.S. at the University of Missouri - Kansas City School of Dentistry. While at UMKC he was involved with honors programs that gave him additional training in dental surgery.He is currently a member of the American Dental Association, Missouri Dental Association, Greater Kansas City Dental Society and Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Clay is looking forward to practicing dentistry in the close-knit community that Blue Springs offers. He is dedicated to providing his patients comprehensive dental care in a comfortable and inviting setting. Outside of dentistry, he enjoys spending time with his wife Beth and dog Rocco, staying active, and cheering on the Chiefs, Royals, and Sporting KC!
Kelly has been working for Dr. Monheiser for over 34 years. She lived in Blue Springs for 43 years and graduated from Blue Springs High School in 1980. She is a dedicated mother and grandmother on her time off. She loves sports of all kinds and teeth!
Jo has been working with Dr. Monheiser for over 27 years. She is very kind, compassionate and enjoys working with people. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her husband, family, and friends.
Natalie has been working in dentistry since 2012. She is very upbeat and loves working with Dr. Schilke. She lives in Blue Springs with her husband, daughters, and dog. She enjoys spending time with her family and playing golf.
Teresa has been with Dr. Monheiser since 1993. Before going back to Johnson County Community College to receive her degree, she worked as a dental assistant in Warsaw, Missouri for 10 years. Her family includes her husband of 44 years, Gene retired from Missouri State Highway Patrol, a son Heath and his wife Molly and three grand cats. Her hobbies include staying active and avid reader. Her patients over the years have become family to her. She does her best to provide a quality service and makes it as comfortable as possible. She looks forward on meeting new patients and enjoying her current ones.
Tena has been a resident of Blue Springs for over forty years. She graduated from UMKC School of Dentistry with a Bachelors degree in Dental Hygiene in 1985 and has been with Dr. Monheiser since then. She has seen many of our patients grow up and have children of their own, now their children have become patients. This long standing relationship with so many of our patients is her favorite part of her job.
Crystal have been working with Dr. Monheiser for the past 7 years. She loves working daily with the hygiene patients, especially the children. When she is not at work, she spends time with her husband, daughter, and two step-children. She likes to attend sporting events and anything to do with her church.
With many years of front office experience, Julie joined our team in 2016. She was born and raised in San Diego and served in US Navy for over 8 years. Julie feels fortunate to have found a place to call her second home at Dr. Monheisers office when she moved to Blue Springs. She is friendly, professional and loves to help fellow veterans in achieving their dental needs. In her free time she enjoys spending time with family and keeping active. You can often find her traveling or shouting at football games.
Ticia graduated from Blue Springs High School in 1984 and has worked for Dr. Monheiser since 1986. She is married and has 3 wonderful children. She is very active in her church and spends most of her time with her daughters.

I have nothing but kind things to say about Burr Oak Family Dental! They are all kind hearted people who really do listen and take care of you and walk you through everything! Dr. Clay is so fun and is honestly the most kind hearted dentist have met in a long time! He really takes pride on all of his work and makes sure that you are in the know of what's happening as you are getting your dental work done. They are fenomenal!

Best dental experience I have ever had with no exception. I searched for a group associated my ins and found Burr Oak Family Dental. Dr Schwinke and Elizabeth listened to, and addressed, all of my concerns. Dr. Schwinke gave me advice which was best for me. This has certainly not happened with past dentists. I am happy to say I immediately formed a great relationship with Burr Oak Dental, plan to have them always take care of my dental needs, and absolutely recommend them!

Thank you for taking time to explain my x-rays and the condition of my teeth and gums and supporting my continued home care of my teeth. I was relaxed enough in my cleaning that I almost fell asleep. :) My 4 th visit. You can also request a hygienist. Tina is excellent. Very efficient and through :) September 12. 2022

Came in for an annual cleaning. The technician was great. Explained each step and added humor to reduce any tension. Dentist explained details on potential problems and made recommendations. No high pressure sales, just honest dental advice.

They got me in quickly and got started right away.. The dental hygienist was very professional and friendly. She went over all of her findings very thoroughly and explained everything in a very professional and understanding way. The dentist came in and he also was very professional very to the point explained everything that I needed to know.. Set me up another appointment to get the work done that is needed and I was on my way.. Definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a new Dentist..

I have been going to Burr Oak for many years. Burr Oak Family Dental is the Best Dental Service I have ever received!!! Dr. Monheiser has great high energy and always does a fantastic job!!!
