Dr. Vishal Shah is experienced in providing complete dental care to everyone in your family, from the youngest member to the most senior. Our office is conveniently located in Moneta, Virginia, and we are happy to serve Moneta as well as the entire Smith Mountain Lake community.
Proper oral hygiene is essential for preserving your smile as well as your overall health. In addition to general and preventive care, such as biannual examinations and cleanings, we offer several restorative and cosmetic procedures to help maintain the appearance and health of your smile. We also offer VELscope oral cancer screening at no extra charge. This important screening enables us to detect cancer in its early stages when it is still treatable.
Dr. Vishal Shah received his Bachelor of Science degree in biology from the University of Virginia. He then attended dental school at the Boston University School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Shah furthered his dental education by completing an advanced education in general dentistry program at the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry.
A member of the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association, and is a fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, Dr. Shah is a caring and courteous dentist who puts the needs of his patients first. He has dedicated his professional career to providing his patients with the highest quality of dental care.
A native of Christiansburg, Virginia, Jennifer has been with the practice for nearly a decade. Working for Moneta Dentistry allows her to provide a valuable service to the community as well as providing patients with tools to improve their health. Outside the office, Jennifer loves spending time with her husband and two kids, reading, and hiking.
Joyce has been with Moneta Dentistry for 19 years, helping people to maximize their insurance benefits. Outside the office she loves spending time with her six granddaughters and playing with her Yorkipoo Buttercup.
Jennifer has been with the practice for five years, and what she likes most about her job is helping people become more confident with their smiles. Originally from Amherst, Virginia, when she is not working, Jennifer can probably be found outdoors, enjoying life at the lake, or shopping and spending time with family.
With Moneta Dentistry for 20 years, Michelle enjoys greeting the patients who come into the practice and getting to know them personally. She also loves working with Dr. Shah and the rest of the team. In her spare time, Michelle can be found taking long walks or hiking, watching TV, and spending time with family.
Adrianne, who is originally from Wirtz, Virginia, is new to the practice where she enjoys helping patients stay comfortable while they receive needed treatment. In her free time, she enjoys spending time her family and her two daughters.

I am not one to leave reviews, good or bad, typically. However, the experience I had with this dental facility was fantastic and warranted praise. I called and was seen immediately for a dental emergency. Dr. Shah was so friendly and personable. The office staff were helpful and sympathetic. I just can't say enough good things about this practice. I would highly recommend Moneta Dentistry to anyone in need of any dental work.

I am senior citizen and recently located here from another state. I am super impressed with Dr Shaw and staff! Dr Shaw made and fitted me with an incredible partial plate! I have had several from other dental providers and dental appliances. I believe they did good work! Dr Shaw beats all and is absolutely the best! My partial fits perfectly! Thank you Dr Shaw!

Dr. Shah is competent of that there is no doubt. I had a gold crown installed from him that was excellent. But one day I cracked a crown and since the tooth split down below the gum he told me he couldn't do it. He said I would have to have the tooth pulled, implant installed, and then a new crown. He talked like he was telling me to buy a cup of coffee. Now I know all that work is going to cost maybe 4 to 5 thousand. He didn't consider that. I had it done in India and the good dentist there had no problem with fitting a nice gold crown that went below the gum line. That was five years ago so I guess it didn't need to be taken out. Another issue I had was I had dental insurance that covered cleaning but for some reason the clinic didn't get paid. The lady doing the insurance got very hostile with me demanding immediate payment. When I asked about the insurance she replied that it was a "courtesy" so she didn't want to pursue it. I immediately went there and paid in cash so I wouldn't have to deal with her and the bad attitude. So I don't go back there anymore for these reasons. The doctor is good but the flippant attitude about the work is annoying. The last little quirk is it takes months to get an appointment. Not many dentists around Moneta I guess...

Dr. Shah and his staff are wonderful. Our whole family goes here and wouldn't go anywhere else. They have always taken the time to explain what they where doing and why. My husband is a transplant recipient and has to be careful about where he goes. We have no worries with this office. I would recommend this office to anyone of any age.

I've been patient of half a dozen or more dentists over the last 40 years and Dr Shah is my favorite. His office is very well organized, no idling in the waiting room because he's booked too tight. His staff is very friendly. He's a great dentist and a nice guy. The prices are reasonable.
