Summer is the time for outdoor sports and you can protect your teeth, cheeks, gums and lips with a low-cost mouth guard. It could save you from a knocked out or chipped tooth, and it will prevent you from grinding your teeth during the big game.

The short answer is no. You most likely cannot sunburn your teeth. Shwew! Your lips on the other hand can sunburn. In fact, your lips might be the most susceptible to sunburn. Its important not to rely on regular sunscreen to protect your lips, choose a lip balm with a minimum of SPF 15. It is designed for your lips, and it will stick better. And just like with sunscreen, remember to reapply it every couple hours.
There are lots of reasons to smile all summer long. Evidence suggests that smiling reduces stress and helps your heart. So show those teeth! Brush twice a day, floss daily and smile big. You'll feel better when you do.

My recent visit was excellent. I have nothing but good things to say about Dr.Starkman. He is an excellent dentist. I am a difficult patient and he continues to keep my teeth going. He makes the procedures very painless. He and everyone who works at this office are very pleasant and a joy to be with.

This is an excellent dental practice! Dr. Starkman is skilled, knowledgeable , and patient-oriented. With warmth and respect, he lays out options and doesn't pressure. Dental hygeinest, Katie, is the best I've ever had. For years I used to travel to Albany to see a fine dentist, but am so delighted to have found Mondovi Dental close to home in Columbia County.

I have gone to Alots of dentists . But ever since i met Dr Sackman he is very good skillful and patience and good hearted. Especially the front desk lady Rebecca will talk to you nicely.

I have been going to Mondovi Dental for a while now. I always see Dr. Starkman because he is skilled, knowledgeable and patient. I have a fear of dental work in general, and he works with me to overcome this. Consequently, I have been going regularly and my smile has improved!

I have been a Patient at now Mondovi Dental in Kinderhook for over 2 years. I have enjoyed DR. Starkman's care and his Hygienist Sorrel whom is very Professional and Personable. She is one of the best Hygienist I have ever had. She took time to get the stains from Tea of my teeth and also educated me on how I can keep them from becoming as bad as they were!

I feel extremely confident and satisfied with the service I received from the front end, through the Registered Dental Hygienist, Sorrel, and all the way up to Dr. Starkman. Great atmosphere, awesome people, and amazing service!

Sorrel is a great hygienist, very thorough and calm. Dr Starkman has been my dentist for many years and has great expertise in the field. Dr Forhad is also excellent and his assistant Christina is a great also. I would give the practice 5 stars but the office staff sometimes seems not to know what they are doing. Not always, but at times. The clinical staff makes up for that failing, however. I recommend this dental office.

Sorrel is a great hygienist, very thorough and calm. Dr Starkman has been my dentist for many years and has great expertise in the field. I have had a terrible.track record of broken teeth. Prior to visiting Mondovi Dental in Kinderhook, I had never had a positive experience with an extraction. First Mondovi went above and beyond to get me in quickly, I experienced no pain during the 2 rounds of numbing, the extraction did not cause any real amount of pain (just pressure), and when it was clear I was anxious, the dental assistant grabbed my hand and it helped reassure me just having her lend me a little strength. 10/10 I would never go to another dentist office anywhere else again. Hands down the best office I have EVER visited. If you are looking for professional, caring, and kind dentists, Mondovi is hands down the absolute best practice!

Dr. Starkman and his staff are amazing. The other day I walked in the office for the first time without an appointment and was greeted so warmly. I was so worried about some dental work that had been done by another dentist and wanted to see if one of the dentists could see me for just a minute. The staff was so comforting and understanding and said they would check. They explained to me that Dr. Starkman was doing a procedure but when he had a few minutes in between he could see me. Not even 5 minutes later I was in the dentists chair and Dr. Starkman took a look at my mouth. He said everything was just fine and not to worry explaining to me all the reasons why. He even told me to come back in a couple of days to see him if I needed to. I am so very grateful to Dr. Starkman and his staff for going out of their way for someone who wasn't even a patient and had never been there before. They really made me feel like part of their family.

Each time I have need to visit the Kinderhook Dental Arts for attention, I find myself greeted with the highest degree of friendly professionalism. Doreen and her staff are most cordial and quick to notify the Doctor of my arrival. In a most reasonable time frame, the Dental assistant greets me and sets me up for the Doctor. When Dr. Starkman arrives, another cordial greeting is extended and his professional wisdom takes over. His calm and assuring demeanor gives me the feeling " Its all going to be alright." His gentle but necessarily firm approach tops any dental mannerisms I've experienced. The support of Mrs. Starkman and the staff make it all happen.

For decades I've traveled from Columbia County to see an excellent dentist in Albany, but yesterday, Dr. Forhad generously extended himself to re-cement a crown I'd popped out while flossing. I was so impressed by his skill, efficiency, patient-oriented approach and personal warmth that I have decided to become his patient.
