Summer is the time for outdoor sports and you can protect your teeth, cheeks, gums and lips with a low-cost mouth guard. It could save you from a knocked out or chipped tooth, and it will prevent you from grinding your teeth during the big game.

The short answer is no. You most likely cannot sunburn your teeth. Shwew! Your lips on the other hand can sunburn. In fact, your lips might be the most susceptible to sunburn. Its important not to rely on regular sunscreen to protect your lips, choose a lip balm with a minimum of SPF 15. It is designed for your lips, and it will stick better. And just like with sunscreen, remember to reapply it every couple hours.
There are lots of reasons to smile all summer long. Evidence suggests that smiling reduces stress and helps your heart. So show those teeth! Brush twice a day, floss daily and smile big. You'll feel better when you do.

Tracy Koelewyn is a great client-facing Patient Service rep for the Mondovi team. Always showing compassion to the public. Tracy contributes to the on-going culture of what Mondovi Dental offers as I have been to previous places where the patient did not come first. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Manku and his staff. I have severe dental anxiety and have had terrible experiences with other dentists. Everyone in the office was compassionate and kind, which made the whole experience easier for me. The exam was thorough and I walked out with a concrete plan. Wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone with nervous to see the dentist for any reason. Thank you!

This office is a 10 out of 10. We moved quite a bit and when we came back to CT I wouldn't think to go anywhere else. The front desk staff is so accommodating, the hygienists are the most thorough I've ever been to and the doctor is so kind and honest. I'm a lifer!

I have been going here for many years, I am a nervous patient, but Tracy's positive approach always calms me down while waiting for my appointment. Laura, my hygienist does a fantastic job of cleaning and makes me feel comfortable while in the chair. Dr Manku's mannerism is really appreciated and his explanation of what is being done helps put me at ease.

Dr Manku is meticulous, gentle and dexterous. The quality of his work is first-rate. All that, combined with super interpersonal skills, makes for a great dentist. Also, you couldn't have a better hygienist than Betsy. I hope They both stay around for a while.

This has been my family's practice of choice for many years. I have always found the office to be clean comfortable and welcoming. I trust the team there, especially Laura my hygienist of choice, for a thorough clean and practical advice on oral health. The dentists provide a thorough exam and sensible affordable options on any dental work necessary. The administrative staff is cordial end efficient. I trust them with my family's dental health.
