Summer is the time for outdoor sports and you can protect your teeth, cheeks, gums and lips with a low-cost mouth guard. It could save you from a knocked out or chipped tooth, and it will prevent you from grinding your teeth during the big game.
No really, just dont. Weve all seen someone open a bottle with their teeth. An amazing feat? Nope, but a great way to cause micro fractures in your teeth. Using your teeth to rip open potato chip bags or to crush ice are also no nos.
The short answer is no. You most likely cannot sunburn your teeth. Shwew! Your lips on the other hand can sunburn. In fact, your lips might be the most susceptible to sunburn. Its important not to rely on regular sunscreen to protect your lips, choose a lip balm with a minimum of SPF 15. It is designed for your lips, and it will stick better. And just like with sunscreen, remember to reapply it every couple hours.
There are lots of reasons to smile all summer long. Evidence suggests that smiling reduces stress and helps your heart. So show those teeth! Brush twice a day, floss daily and smile big. You'll feel better when you do.

Mondovi Dental in Southington was the BEST dentist I've ever been to!! I had the pleasure of having Alyssa as my hygienist and she was terrific. She took her time cleaning my teeth and keeping me very informed with anything that she was noticing as she was working. She was very kind and gentle. The dentist was also extremely friendly and had an amazing personality. You can clearly tell that everyone in the office cares about and enjoys what they do. The office was beautiful and very clean. I highly recommend!!! 10 stars

Excellent Service ! Not a fan of Dental visits. However, the kindness, professionalism, and knowledge of the Receptionist , Hygienist, and Dr., absolutely made my visit a positive experience. The office is bright and immaculate. The welcome and smile from the receptionist was friendly and calming. The skill and great personality of Alyssa, my hygienist, made me very relaxed. Even though the Dentist was very busy, he made the time to come in and do my exam and talk a little. I totally appreciated that. So, highly recommend and Thank you to the entire staff for making my visit a positive experience

I want to praise Dr. Healy and Cynthia for their good care of me during my visit. Dr. Healy will be greatly missed! He's a marvelous doctor both for his skill and for his warm and personable demeanor. Even though I've moved out of town, I plan to continue to use Mondovi for my dentist.

Check-in was easy. Alyssa brought me in for my cleaning on time. She did the cancer check. The cleaning was practically pain free. This despite the fact I have some sensitive teeth. She then polished and flossed my teeth. She then made my next appointment. She was very nice. Checkout was easy as they told me they will file the insurance claim. Mondovi Dental in Southington has done a great job with my teeth over the years. I definitely intend to keep going there

Best experience dealing with a new dentist office / emergency procedure ever. Sue was super helpful sorting out everything with the insurance and Dr. Natelli was just awesome, both when the incident happen guiding us through the best scenario to treat my daughter's broken tooth after hour, to following up with us and making sure everything was OK. Mondovi Dental is the place to go to. I'm currently going through getting a dental implant and I wouldn't go anywhere else to get this work done, or trust any other place. Dr. Natelli does such amazing work! Even if your scared to go to the dentist he makes you feel comfortable. All of the staff and dental hygienist are also amazing at their work and the environment is super welcoming

All the staff has always been on top of things and easy to work with including dina and sue behind the desk with billing and scheduling. Alyssa is on top of being a great hygenist and dr Natelli always doing his best and getting the job done. Wonderful dental practice, Dr Natelli and all the staff are great. He recently did a porcelain crown for me and I had to come back for a small issue a couple days later and when I called, they told me to come right in. Out of there in less than 10 minutes, great experience. And Sheila is the best hygienist ever!
