Summer is the time for outdoor sports and you can protect your teeth, cheeks, gums and lips with a low-cost mouth guard. It could save you from a knocked out or chipped tooth, and it will prevent you from grinding your teeth during the big game.
No really, just dont. Weve all seen someone open a bottle with their teeth. An amazing feat? Nope, but a great way to cause micro fractures in your teeth. Using your teeth to rip open potato chip bags or to crush ice are also no nos.
The short answer is no. You most likely cannot sunburn your teeth. Shwew! Your lips on the other hand can sunburn. In fact, your lips might be the most susceptible to sunburn. Its important not to rely on regular sunscreen to protect your lips, choose a lip balm with a minimum of SPF 15. It is designed for your lips, and it will stick better. And just like with sunscreen, remember to reapply it every couple hours.
There are lots of reasons to smile all summer long. Evidence suggests that smiling reduces stress and helps your heart. So show those teeth! Brush twice a day, floss daily and smile big. You'll feel better when you do.

I had a temporary crown replaced with a permanent one and a filling removed, cleaned and refilled. Everyone in the office is so friendly and cheerful. Dr. Duckles is always encouraging and keeps a patient calm and brave. She and her assistant work efficiently and supportively and make it a very pleasant experience. I assume she checks her notes on each patient ahead of time, and it's nice to feel as though she remembers everything about the last appointment. She makes me feel like the only patient!!

I couldn't be more pleased. I'm new to Mondovi having recently relocated. The care, personalized attention and concern for their patients is abundantly evident. Prior to this, my Dentist was Dean of Education at Harvard's School of Dental Medicine. Those are big shoes to fill, but Amy & Dr. Duckles more than meet the challenge. They should feel proud, and I'm delighted to be their patients. met the challenge.

I had to have a cap replaced. Not fun right? Wrong! I have to say this was fun. Dr. Duckles was upbeat and positive.Checking in to make sure I was ok and explaining each step. The work she did was spot on. Her assistant was friendly and supportive. Great experience.

My first time at Mondovi was great. I'm sorry I'm terrible with names but the dentist who did my initial exam and X-rays, the lovely woman who did my cleaning and the women at the front desk were all terrific.

Mondovi Dental in East Harwich was stress free with a timely check in and check out. My dental hygienist Jessica, was professional and friendly, putting me at ease through out my time in the chair. In these Covid times, when "normal" things can feel like a challenge, this was not.

I have never had such a thorough exam in my entire life from a dentist and such one on one attention. The staff is very knowledgeable and professional and friendly and the dentists are incredible! A wonderful experience!!
