Summer is the time for outdoor sports and you can protect your teeth, cheeks, gums and lips with a low-cost mouth guard. It could save you from a knocked out or chipped tooth, and it will prevent you from grinding your teeth during the big game.
No really, just dont. Weve all seen someone open a bottle with their teeth. An amazing feat? Nope, but a great way to cause micro fractures in your teeth. Using your teeth to rip open potato chip bags or to crush ice are also no nos.
The short answer is no. You most likely cannot sunburn your teeth. Shwew! Your lips on the other hand can sunburn. In fact, your lips might be the most susceptible to sunburn. Its important not to rely on regular sunscreen to protect your lips, choose a lip balm with a minimum of SPF 15. It is designed for your lips, and it will stick better. And just like with sunscreen, remember to reapply it every couple hours.
There are lots of reasons to smile all summer long. Evidence suggests that smiling reduces stress and helps your heart. So show those teeth! Brush twice a day, floss daily and smile big. You'll feel better when you do.

We moved to the Cape and after commuting to our dentist for 2 years it was finally time to pick a new one nearby. We received lots of local referrals from friends and NextDoor and spoke to many of the offices. We chose Mondovi Dental because of their reputation, follow up, friendly office staff and location. My previous dentist and hygienist were excellent so they had big shoes to fill. We could not be more pleased with the change! My hygienist Lena was skilled, fun and explained everything she was doing. She had a great sense of humor and made the whole experience very pleasant. I knew my previous dentist for 20 years and we were great friends so I was so pleased when I met Dr. St. Pierre she was great. I had a couple concerns with my teeth and she took X-rays and said there was nothing to do yet but she would keep an eye on it. She also found another area of concern but checked it against previous X-rays and said it is has not changed and that she would watch it. It is nice to have a doctor you can trust! She also had a great sense of humor and we talked about our college football rivalry and upcoming game. How many doctors can you do that with? To top it all off it cost less than my previous dentist. It was a win all the way around. Obviously, I highly recommend them.

Excellent dental practice for our family! When our family's dentist of 30 years retired, we were looking for a new dentist and after our first choice closest to home didn't work out - the extra distance to Mondovi is well worth it! Reasonable, effective treatment. And exactly that: treatment. You are not over or under treated which is extremely refreshing in a world where unnecessary procedures occur more often than should. Highly recommend!

Lena is great. But you guys are too expensive (today almost $400, I thought I was just having a cleaning) and there is rarely a discussion of associated costs unless I specifically ask. Xrays every year is ridiculous, the American dental association recommends every 2-3 for wing bite X-rays. I do not have dental insurance. Discussions of what services are being provided, why and the associated costs should be standard. I will ask next time.

It's been a long time since I had a cavity and needed a filling. Dr. St. Pierre and Alessandra provided a virtually pain-free experience and an observation on another potential issue I have in my mouth, which will be followed. If I have to go to the dentist, this is where I'll go.

Dr. Armstrong, her assistant and all office people have performed to the highest level in their professional skill and compassion each time I have visited their office whether it has been for a simple filling replacement or crowns to dental cleaning. I highly recommend them without reservation.

Mondovi Dental deserves 5 stars. Every staff member is professional, kind, attentive and pleasant. I'm basically getting a whole new smile so I've spent a LOT of time there. I'm extremely happy with my experience and I'm confidently smiling again. Dr Armstrong is a professional and an artist!

I went in for a cleaning and was told I needed a full set of x rays. I told my hygienist that I would like the periapical x rays but I did not want the bite wing x rays. She said I had to have both. After quite A bit of discussion, involving additional staff, they told me I could not be a patient unless I purchased their bite wing X rays. I refused. They offered to clean my teeth "one more time" and told me I would have to get the x rays that I don't want before I could come back. No thanks.

I hate the dentist so I was nervous about going for my first visit. The whole office was top notch. From the front desk, the assistant Lori to Dr. St. Pierre. They were thorough, pleasant and took the time to explain everything and answer all of my questions!
