Summer is the time for outdoor sports and you can protect your teeth, cheeks, gums and lips with a low-cost mouth guard. It could save you from a knocked out or chipped tooth, and it will prevent you from grinding your teeth during the big game.
No really, just dont. Weve all seen someone open a bottle with their teeth. An amazing feat? Nope, but a great way to cause micro fractures in your teeth. Using your teeth to rip open potato chip bags or to crush ice are also no nos.
The short answer is no. You most likely cannot sunburn your teeth. Shwew! Your lips on the other hand can sunburn. In fact, your lips might be the most susceptible to sunburn. Its important not to rely on regular sunscreen to protect your lips, choose a lip balm with a minimum of SPF 15. It is designed for your lips, and it will stick better. And just like with sunscreen, remember to reapply it every couple hours.
There are lots of reasons to smile all summer long. Evidence suggests that smiling reduces stress and helps your heart. So show those teeth! Brush twice a day, floss daily and smile big. You'll feel better when you do.

One star is being generous here. I keep going back for the exact same issue of roughness on my teeth. They referred me out to an orthodontics which claims nothing can be done. Then I revisit them and they did bare minimum to address the issue. If you value your time and money, and especially your teeth, go elsewhere.

Best dental experience I have ever had due to Natalie's experience, expertise, and care while dealing with sensitive gums. The front office and dentist are also great. Would highly recommend!

I really like the dentists and dental hygienists here at Mondovi Dental. It's rare to find a dentist that isn't just trying to get money from you! I go in every 6 months for a cleaning and it's always a quick and efficient appointment. They are also great about ignoring and being appropriate towards my medical alert service dog who joins me at appointments. Minus one star because they are no longer open on Saturdays, and it can be really difficult to get an appointment. They usually book about 4-5 months out which wasn't the case a few years ago. I'm grateful that they are expanding and have demand for their services, but it can be difficult when you need to cancel and reschedule. I also understand that this could be because of staffing shortages due to COVID which I'm sure they are doing their best with.

Francesca was my dental hygienist. We talked about her dog briefly, I told her my history, and she got to work. She was professional, personable, lefficient, and was done in 25 minutes. My mouth feels great today. Then Dr. Petrou came in, checked my teeth and gums, did a tongue check and we talked about what we are keeping an eye on for future visits. Dr. Petrou has a pleasant manner, put a crown in for me last time that fit immediately, and has been rock solid. I like Dr. Petrou for his skills and his chair side manner. Finally I apologize that I don't know the receptionist's name, but she took care of my co-pay in a Boston minute and is also a pleasure to see each visit. Good job Mondavi Dental!

Dr. Pellegrini is a fabulous dentist. He is sensitive to your needs, honest, and highly competent. He has emergency contact protocols & is reliable. He has referrals for different aspects of dental care you may need who are also responsible & reliable. I am so glad Dr. Pellegrini is my dentist.
