Dr. Alex Clark is Kansas born and raised, and considers both Wichita and the Kansas City area to be home. He spent his earlier childhood years in Olathe before moving with his family back to Wichita for middle school and high school. After graduating from Kapaun Mt. Carmel Catholic High School he moved back to Kansas City to play soccer and attend college at Rockhurst University, where he graduated Cum Laude with degrees in Biology and Theology. Upon graduation he moved just down the road to the University of Missouri - Kansas City School of Dentistry where he completed his dental education. He graduated with honors in 2015, and then furthered his training by completing a General Practice Residency at Truman Medical Center here in Kansas City, where he gained experience with advanced techniques in restorative, endodontics, oral surgery, and other areas of dentistry.
Dr. Clark is committed to continuing education, and is always working to advance his clinical skill, knowledge. He has completed continuing education courses with the esteemed Clinical Mastery Series, the Dawson Academy, Implant Pathway, and other course providers. He has been recognized as a Fellow in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and is currently pursuing his Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry, one of the nation's leading organizations within general dentistry.
Volunteer and mission work is an aspect of his dental career that is important to Dr. Clark. He has volunteered his time at both local and international missions including the Kansas Mission of Mercy, Missouri Mission of Mercy, Give Kids a Smile, Team Smile, and several mission trips to serve the deaf population in Zambia, Africa. Dr. Clark is dedicated to giving back to his local community, as well as volunteering his time to causes around the country and the world.
Dr. Clark and his wife Emily (who is also Dr. Clark!) met at Rockhurst University, and have two young daughters, Evelyn and Eleanor. Emily is a physician, practicing Obstetrics and Gynecology here in the Kansas City area. They are big Kansas Jayhawks and Kansas City Chiefs fans, and enjoy traveling, trying new restaurants, going to concerts, and spending time with friends and family.

I love visiting the team at Monarch Dental! They always welcome me with smiles (I mean... dentists!) and are kind and friendly. I bring my children in, too, and they are patient with them. There's no fear! It helps that they're conveniently located to my little Prairie Village bubble and I can walk from work or home... but I'd still make the drive like I did when I followed Dr Clark at his old practice!

Thank you Monarch Dental Care in Prairie Village! I am a new patient, and I've been extremely impressed with Monarch Dental Care, Dr. Clark, and the entire team. I filled out a new patient appointment request online and got a call back within an hour. They made the process so convenient! The moment I walked into the waiting room I couldn't believe how relaxing the ambiance felt. I was instantly warmly greeted and offered access to their coffee and sparkling water station (there was even the fancy coffee creamer!). There was also a fantastic music playlist. I was called back for my appointment right on time. Dr. Clark and everyone who works at Monarch Dental Care were friendly, made sure I was comfortable, and took the time to answer all of my questions. I was very impressed with the knowledge of, and commitment to excellence by, Dr. Clark and the entire staff. Thank you Monarch Dental Care!

Just had my first appointment - a basic assessment, really. They handled the oddness of my insurance not having my correct information, perfectly. The staff are all attentive, and frankly, I'm surprised they are taking more patients, because it was an all around perfect experience.

Today, Dr Clark worked on (3) cavities and repaired one chipped tooth - all in under an hour and WITHOUT AN OUNCE OF PAIN. I am generally terrified of having any level of work done on my teeth and, half way through today's procedure, I felt comfortable enough that I could have practically fallen asleep. I can not thank Dr Clark and his team enough for taking such good care of me today. A few months ago, my daughters (5yr + 9yr) really enjoyed their first routine cleaning experience with the Monarch team. We all look forward to being a part of the Monarch family for years to come! Best dentist I've ever had!

I am VERY PLEASED! I have been going to this dental practice for40 years. Everyone in the office is extremely nice, professional and gentle. My teeth are in great shape at age 70 - which I attribute to the great dental care and advice I have received.

Could not have asked for a better experience. It had been a VERY long time since I had a dental visit and the Monarch Dental Care team took excellent care of me. Laura did a great job of distracting me while cleaning/polishing my teeth and Dr. Clark has a warm personality and made me feel incredibly comfortable.

We have been Menees patients for over 30 years...first Laura's dad, Bob, and now Laura. The high level of care and staffing keep patients coming back. Our adult children choose to go to Menees Dentistry even when they don't have insurance to cover the visit. From teeth cleaning to care when you have problems, it is all first rate. Who looks forward to going to the dentist? With Menees, you actually do! BTW the new massage chairs make you forget that your mouth is open during cleaning. This is one great place for dental care!
