Our treatment will enhance your overall health & appearance! We carefully examine your airway, facial aesthetics, the shape of your palate and jaw and the placement and fullness of your lips and cheeks relative to your smile.

This is the #1 reason most people choose Molen Orthodontics to design their smile. We are uncompromising in our pursuit of designing natural-looking smiles using the latest technology and most cutting-edge techniques. For example, 3-D x-rays and goo-free digital scanners. We do not cut corners and deliver the same level of care that we would to our own children. For this reason, many local dentists seek us out when their own children are ready for treatmenta fact that we are very proud of.

Our doctors are world renowned for their expertise in orthodontics. Combined, our orthodontists have written several peer-reviewed journal papers, textbook chapters, and given over a hundred lectures world-wide on the topic of cutting-edge orthodontics. For example, Dr. Aaron serves on the Technology Editorial Board for the prestigious American Journal of Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics and was the Chair of the American Association of Orthodontists Committee on Technology.

Our orthodontists have earned a reputation for quality and kindness as theyve served our community. This reputation has been earned over the decades by designing beautiful custom smiles for tens of thousands of patients. We believe that a beautiful smile is the result of combining both artistry and science, and we work hard to design unique, natural-looking smiles for every single one of our patients.

Our doctors are not content using old techniques from the past but instead seek out the most progressive and innovative approaches to designing smiles efficiently and as painlessly as possible. We often treat cases that were considered untreatable by others and work hard to avoid the unnecessary extraction of healthy adult teeth. In addition to always working to avoid the extraction of healthy adult teeth, we are happy to say that we discontinued the use of headgear over a decade ago! Instead, we embrace more progressive techniques to address overbites.

Dr. Bruce has been designing beautiful smiles since 1972. Dr. Rick, Dr. Aaron, and Dr. Chris have continued this tradition and are thrilled to now treat many third-generation patients. This legacy of quality is the reason grandparents bring in their own grandchildren to Molen Orthodonticsthey know theyll receive the same personal care they received over 45 years ago. Our doctors plan to continue Dr. Molens legacy of quality for decades to come.

Our orthodontists are proud, long-time residents of the community we live and work in. In fact, Dr. Rick and Dr. Aaron both graduated from Auburn High School. Since Dr. Bruce Molen and Dr. Aaron both make their homes in Lakeland Hills and Dr. Rick lives in Bonney Lake you may just bump in to them while grocery shopping or walking the dog. You might also see Dr. Chris walking the trails of Tehaleh. Being true locals, we are constantly looking for ways to give back to the community we love so dont be surprised if you see our name as a sponsor of local community events and teams!

Webelieve that each smile is unique and our doctors design each persons smile to work in harmony with their facial features. Wehave worked hard to learn cutting-edge techniques that allow us to create a more natural and curved smile arc instead of the flat smiles typically produced using traditional orthodontic techniques. Wehave found that though the orthodontic science and technology behind what wedo creates the foundation of the smile, its ourartistic vision and dedication that ultimately brings your inner smile to the surface. Tools like Damon Braces and Invisalign help us to deliver the results were known for, however the primary determinant of success is not the tool itself but the artist wielding it. You can guarantee that our doctors will deliver a beautiful custom-designed smile that youll love for the rest of your life.

We are proud to say that thanks to the reputation of our doctors, patients travel from all over the region to receive their Molen Magic Smiles. Some from as far away as the Arctic Alaska, Hawaii, the Aleutian Islands, California, Idaho, and beyond.

Dr. Molen was selected from among hundreds of applicants to become part of UCLAs first dental class of 27 students. During his summer breaks he worked as a carpenter building sets and movie props at Hollywood movie studios. He graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1968 with numerous awards for academic and clinical excellence. He is a member of the prestigious fraternity of Omicron Kappa Upsilon, which is limited to the top 10% of graduating dentists and distinguished dental educators nationwide.

Following his dental education, Dr. Molen served as a Captain in the Dental Branch of the U.S. Air Force. During his service he treated servicemen & servicewomen at Ellsworth Air Force Base in South Dakota for two years. Dr. Molen was accepted into the University of Washingtons prestigious orthodontic residency program in the fall of 1970, earning his orthodontic specialty certificate in 1972. Dr. Molen opened his office in Auburn in 1972, Enumclaw in 1982, and Sumner in 1997.

Dr. Molen is a member of several prestigious invitation-only international orthodontic study clubs. He is one of only a handful of doctors to hold simultaneous memberships in both the elite Schulman Study Group and the Pitts Progressive Study Club. Dr. Molen is a member of the American Dental Association, the Washington State Dental Association, the Seattle-King County Dental Society, the American Association of Orthodontists, the Washington State Society of Orthodontists, and the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists. This accomplishment reflects the Molens highly regarded reputation within the orthodontic community as thought leaders and innovators.

Dr. Rick is a member of the American Dental Association, the Washington State Dental Association, the Seattle-King County Dental Society, the American Association of Orthodontists, the Washington State Society of Orthodontists, and the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists.

Called to get an appointment to repair a permanent retainer that has come loose on one side due to the bonding wearing out. I was told since I'm a new patient, they would only start a consultation for a new retainer. They apparently only repair bonded retainers if you're an existing customer. Sounded like a money grab to me, so I'm looking elsewhere for a repair.

My daughter was very nervous when she first learned she had to get expanders. Yet every time she leaves the orthodontist she is in high spirits because the PEOPLE make all the difference. And the letters she gets in the mail...she feels like the most special girl alive.

Molen orthodontics is the best orthodontist to share your orthodontic journey with. It is not just about a beautiful smile but also about the structure of your teeth and functionality. As an "older adult" I found things were changing in my bite and causing some issues that were uncomfortable. My first appointment was a thorough but free consult. They had already prepared me over the phone that they were able to accommodate braces that same day if appropriate to my situation. I walked out with a full set of braces that day and 17 months later by following their careful instructions we achieved an amazing result. Thank you Molen!

If you're in the search for an amazing orthodontist, search no further. I would give 10 stars if I could. I am so grateful for Molen Orthodontics! I got my braces back in 2010, then my brother and my mom all went to Molen. We all have beautiful smiles that fit our face. We can not recommend them high enough! When you are finished with braces and no longer need orthodontics, ask for a referral for your dentist. I went to the dentist previously and had to get one of my front teeth fillings fixed. The dentist that I went to made it way short and fat. I asked her to make it the same shape as my previous one, and she gave me attitude and seemed like she was in such a crunch of time. So she finally added length to it, but it looked so bad... I didn't want to say I didn't like it anymore because of the attitude she gave me..... so I walked out, paid $340 for a tooth that I was so unhappy with. (Thank goodness for masks, lol) Well I was so unhappy with it, I went straight to Molen which was 1 minute away from my other dentist. They got me right in, Dr. Rick looked at my tooth, took pictures, and then Inna reshaped it to match my other k-9... and they reshaped PERFECTLY it in less than 20 minutes! (It took my other dentist 3 hours). I am so unbelievably happy with it now!! I can not thank Dr. Rick and Inna enough! Long story short: Molen Orthodontics will take care of you and your whole family for a lifetime. 10/5 stars to them. Plus free retainers for life!!Thank you all so much for what you do!

This is an excellent orthodontist! They will make sure you are treated with the best quality service possible. They are significantly better than most orthodontists in every area but price. I had almost six years of treatment with them and never had a bad experience (my jaw/teeth were really messed up :)

My journey with Molen Orthodntics started July of 2015. At 33 years old I had a baby tooth break in half. A tooth I had been told for many years I needed to do something about, but I just kept ignoring. I was scared... I walked into Molen's and felt at ease. I met with Dr Aaron and he explained to me all these big orthodontic ideas in simple terms. I definitely had more issues than just the broken tooth and his explanations helped me understand. He was honest explaining the process was going to be long and tedious, but also confident that he could to help me. I then discussed finance options with the finance department and they gave me many options that were simple for me to understand and easy for my budget. I was set for a minor oral surgery to expose my adult tooth that was hanging out in the roof of my mouth and used the surgeon Dr Aaron recommended. Returning to Molen's August of 2015 I had the initial device placed that would pull down the tooth that had been hiding in the roof of my mouth for 33 years. The device started to work immediately and Dr Aaron and I were both impressed. I continued to visit Molen Orthodontics to have the device adjusted until May 2016 when my braces could be placed to actually make room for the tooth and also help fix the other issues I had. Every. Single. Visit. Was a great experience!!!!! Every single member of the Molen's staff genuinely cares about you. The ease of check-in; the team of assistance always make sure nothing is bothering you before and after your adjustments; Dr Aaron was very personable always making sure everything was going smoothly; check out and reschedule always a breeze. The office(s) run so smoothly, and I never had a single issue from the time I walked in July of 2015 until 3 1/2 years later when my braces came off January 2019. It was a long time, and a lot of visits, and a lot of things could have gone wrong, but everything went right every single time. I never had an issue with customer service, scheduling, or billing (even when I made a mistake and forgot to tell them I was issued a new debit card). They handle everything professionally and personally (even occasionally mailing out personal thank you cards)! To see a business truly cares about the patients is impressive. Dr. Aaron saved me from having massive jaw surgery, and implants... Others may not have been willing to try, and I can't thank him or the Molen Orthodontics team enough for the amazingness of everything they do. They are first class! Thank you for a beautiful smile that I'm proud of!

Simply put, Dr. Aaron is DOPE! I look forward to every single visit. Not to mention, the rest of the staff is incredibly sweet and willing to work with you financially without judgment. There is not one single thing I wouldn't trust Dr. Aaron to do, in fact I wish he could be my dentist and oral surgeon, too. When it comes time for orthodontics, there is no place else I will send my daughter (or anyone else) to!

Molen Orthodontics corrected my severe TMJ in just a few months. I had been to several other orthodontists and spent thousands of dollars with very unsatisfactory results. Before we moved to WA, I was referred to Molen Orthodontics by a dental professor at the University of Texas Dentistry school. I couldn't believed my good luck when we ended up in the same city as the orthodontist recommended to me by a professor I saw in TX. From the moment we walked into the office the entire Molen staff was so personable and professional, always explaining everything that is going to be done during my visit. After getting my braces off I needed a bit of follow up treatment and I've never been charged a dime for any of this extra work or for any of the additional retainers I will need. Everything is included with the cost of my braces. I am confident that Molen will do what ever it takes to make sure their work and the results of my treatment are perfect! I also took advantage of the retainers for life program for my 2 adult sons. They both had braces when they were young and now have beautiful smiles. I want them to have those same beautiful smiles for the rest of their lives. I especially don't want their teeth to shift as they grow older and cause jaw problems like I have had. When they need new retainers all I have to do is bring the molds of their teeth into the office and the staff make new retainers identical to their previous retainers. Now I can take comfort in the knowledge that they will always have the same beautiful smiles for the rest of their lives. By correcting my TMJ, Molen Orthodontics gave me my smile back, alleviated my jaw pain and essentially giving me my life back. I love Molen Orthodontics and would recommend them to EVERYONE!
