Dr. Mogavero earned a Bachelors degree in Biomedical Engineering as well as his dental degree (D.D.S.) from UCLA, graduating with honors from both programs. For his full-time orthodontic specialty training, Dr. Mogavero chose Baylor College of Dentistry, in Dallas, Texas, one of the countrys leading and most progressive programs. A holder of two Masters degrees, Dr. Mogavero was a leader in dental school, where he served as Class President for two years. Dr. Mogavero has co-authored a textbook chapter on orthognathic surgery and surgical orthodontics. He has served for five years as a clinical professor for post-doctorate residents in the Department of Orthodontics at the University of Southern California.
Dr. Mogavero is active in several professional organizations, including the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), the American Dental Association (ADA), the California Dental Association (CDA), and the American Cleft Palate Craniofacial Association (ACPA). He has been selected as an expert witness in a number of orthodontic cases. Dr. Mogavero is also active in the community, and in youth sports. As a specialist, Dr. Frank Mogavero focuses his practice exclusively on the alignment of teeth and facial bones.

He suggested my daughter get a mandibular osteotomy to address the breathing problems that disrupted her sleep, thereby sapping her energy. He recommended Dr. Edward Balasanian (see my review) for the surgery while he would do the orthodontic work. The results are fantastic. My daughter visibly has more energy now and more confidence due, in part, to the positive alteration to her facial profile (though subtle.) He has an office in San Clemente, CA and one in Mammoth Lakes, CA. I highly recommend Dr. Mogavero and his team, hands down!

Dr. Mogavero is the BEST! My three sons have been under his care over the span of the last 6 years. Each of his team members is extremely personable and professional. I'm happy with their teeth and my sons are happy with all the fun perks of being a patient here (they get points to accumulate towards gift cards for their tooth brushing skills to good grades). The best orthodontist. The staff is so friendly and the whole office runs so smoothly. Dr. Mogavero is so great with my son and always explains everything to us so we always know what is going on. Great, and clean office. No complaints at all! Highly recommend

We have previously had another orthodontist in the area, but so glad we switched! They take great care of my son and the staff is so kind and attentive. Every time I go in there, they know his name and they are so sweet to my 2 year old as well
