Many of our patients come from surrounding communities throughout the Eagle Grove area, including Clarion, Goldfield, Humboldt, Webster City, Woolstock, Fort Dodge and Thor. Moffitt Dental offers the only prosthodontist within 50 miles, and many people even travel 1.5+ hours for our quality of work. We are also one of the only Spanish-speaking practices in the area. Our dental assistant, Mariela, ensures communication is not a barrier to treatment.
Wright County Fair In mid-July, our entire community comes out to enjoy the Wright County Fair. The fair is 100% family-focused and features 4-H events, a carnival, a free watermelon-eating feed, a rodeo, live music, parades, barnyard Olympics, a free pancake breakfast and more! It is an event we look forward to every year.
Eagle Grove Summerfest Summerfest happens every year in June, and we love to participate! From bingo to the beer garden, from the kids bike parade to canvas painting and fire truck rides, there is something for everyone to enjoy as we welcome the beginning of summer in Eagle Grove.
Soldier Creek Winery Just a few miles away in Fort Dodge, this local winery is popular with locals and tourists alike. Soldier Creek Winery is a family business hidden away between 10 acres of vineyard and acres of Iowa-grown corn and soybean fields. Their tasting room is open every weekend so you can enjoy the local wine and learn about grape selection, production methods and what makes each selection unique to the Eagle Grove area.
Our Favorite Eagle Grove Restaurants Even though it is a small chain restaurant, we love the local, community feel of The Family Table. The service is always fast and friendly, and their pork tenderloin sandwich is the star of the menu!
Lewright Meats on West Broadway is a local gem known for its macaroni salad and Italian roast beef with pepper jack. They also offer freshly butchered packaged meats to go, a soup of the day and pulled pork. It is hard to go wrong no matter what you choose to enjoy at Lewrights.
How would we survive without carryout pizza? Our favorite local spot is Caseys Carryout Pizza whether you are looking for a traditional pizza or more in the mood for a pulled pork sandwich, Caseys is the perfect place to grab a quick carryout lunch or dinner.

Our Eagle Grove Community Service For some of the families in the Eagle Grove school district, access to dental care is impeded by the language barrier, cost or disability. This makes it difficult for some families to get the dental care that they need, and, unfortunately, it is the children who often suffer.
Two Eagle Grove dentists, Dr. Jordan Moffitt and Dr. Mysty Shaver, along with other volunteers responded to this need by offering their services to help some of the underserved in our Eagle Grove schools.
Henry Schein Dental donated materials and toothbrushes to be used and given to the children. Both Dr. Moffitt and Dr. Shaver acknowledge their sincere appreciation for all who donated time or materials to make the event possible.
Eagle Grove has a history of people helping our community members in need. This event speaks to the strong community bonds that we have and our willingness to help others. As Dr. Moffitt says, I get more out of it than what I put in. Its just heartwarming to see those little kids smile. That makes it all worthwhile.
The Iowa Mission of Mercy is a large scale, two-day community dental clinic where dental professionals and general volunteers donate their time to provide free oral health care to individuals who face barriers to receiving dental care.
Later he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Creighton University School of Dentistry in Omaha, Nebraska. Following graduation from dental school, Dr. Moffitt returned home to Eagle Grove with his wife, Nicole, and four children, Clara, Josephine, Reba, and Caedmon, to practice dentistry.
While in college, Dr. Jordan Moffitt was a defensive tackle on the football team and earned many awards for his accomplishments, including All-American. Today, he still loves sports, and he encourages young people to be involved in athletics.
Dr. Jordan Moffitt also values service and community involvement. He is a member of the Eagle Grove Rotary Club, and he has volunteered for many years for the Iowa Mission of Mercy, providing free dental care to his fellow Iowans.
Dr. Michael Moffitt received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Baylor University after completing his Bachelor of Science in zoology at Eastern New Mexico University. He served in the U.S. Navy for several years, including two years of active duty at Camp Pendleton, California. Following his service, he completed a certificate in prosthetics from University of Missouri-Kansas City, where he also taught dental prosthetics.
Dr. Michael Moffitt and his wife, Reba, made their home in Eagle Grove, where they raised their family, and he practiced dentistry for over 40 years. His practice has always been geared toward creating the most exquisite cosmetics for his patients.
He has also been an author and a speaker, but his true passion is giving people beautiful smiles. He is held in high esteem by other dental colleagues throughout Iowa and the Midwest, and he has mentored several other younger dentists, including two of his sons, Drs. Jordan and Zachary Moffitt.
Dr. Michael Moffitt is a member of the American College of Prosthodontists, the Academy of Osseointegration, the American Dental Association, the Iowa Dental Association and Seattle Study Club. Dr. Mike is an avid golfer, and he enjoys spending time with his three sons and 14 grandchildren.
Adelie is a member of the Moffitt Dental team with an eye for detail and is always one of the first ones here in the morning. She loves to help patients feel relaxed. She is highly intelligent and has a great sense of humor. The part she enjoys most about being on our team is seeing the final results of work done to patients, and how it boosts their confidence. Adelie loves photography and art. Adelie is Dr. Mikes granddaughter!
Our dental hygienist, Maci, is a graduate of the Iowa Central Community College Dental Hygiene Program. She is a native of Eagle Grove. She was a top student and recipient of numerous rewards and recognitions throughout high school and college. Maci is always smiling and enjoys helping her patients improve their oral hygiene, as well as their overall health. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, as well as spending time outdoors. We are proud to have her on our team.
Mariela is an indispensable member of the Moffitt Dental team. She is bilingual, and she helps our Spanish-speaking patients so that communication is not a barrier to treatment. Marielas dental knowledge and skills are a great asset to our practice and to all who have the privilege of having her in the room with the doctors. She is a delightful and fun-loving person to be around. Mariela and Daniel have three daughters, and they enjoy fishing, movies and other outdoor activities.
Alix is a member of the Moffitt Dental team who makes patients feel comfortable and relaxed when coming into our office. She is compassionate and greets everyone with a smile. Alix is a native of Eagle Grove. She loves to spend time with her boyfriend, Colby, and their son, Everett. They enjoy hanging out with family and friends and being outside with their dog, Bentley.
Kiersten represents the ideals we strive for at Moffitt Dental she is enthusiastic about learning advanced procedures and provides the very best patient care to help patients achieve their Moffitt Makeover. Kiersten graduated from Penn Foster Academy in 2019 after completing the dental assisting program. She grew up in Stratford but now resides in Webster City. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends and her tiny dog named Bear. Kiersten is a cheerful and friendly addition to our team!
Monica is a member of the Moffitt Dental team who loves to problem solve. Monica loves being able to get to know each patient and help in any way possible, whether it is through phone calls or here in the office. Monica and her fianc, Marcos, have one daughter, and they enjoy cooking, baking, and spending time with family and friends.
