Our doctors, Dr. Moffett and Dr. Walley, are trained, board-certified orthodontists. Orthodontists are dentists who go on to pursue further education. Out of 100 dental school graduates, on average, only six go on to become orthodontists.

While in dental school, Dr. Moffett served as dental class president for four years and received numerous achievements including the J. Julius Ratliff Orthodontic Award, Pierre Fauchard Leadership Award, and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists Award.
In 2015, Dr. Moffett was accepted as one of four residents to the Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics Residency at the University of Tennessee in Memphis, TN. Dr. Moffett spent three additional years training at UT, and he graduated with both his orthodontic certificate and Masters of Dental Science Degree.
When Dr. Moffett is not at the office, he enjoys spending time with his family, hunting (especially bowhunting), fishing, camping, and exercising. They are members at Pear Orchard Presbyterian Church and stay active at their church and childrens school.
Dr. Walley attended Co-Lin Community College, followed by Mississippi College, where he received a Bachelors of Science Degree. He attended dental school at the University of Tennessee and worked as a general dentist in Mississippi for four years after graduation.
Dr. Walley and his wife then moved to St. Louis, MO for him to specialize in orthodontics at St. Louis University. After receiving a Masters Degree in Orthodontics, he returned to Mississippi and opened his orthodontic practice in Jackson in 1980.
An esteemed member of the dental community, Dr. Walley is a board-certified Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and an active member in many leading dental and orthodontic organizations, including the American and Southern Association of Orthodontists.
Away from the office, Dr. Walley enjoys traveling, going to car shows, and restoring classic Corvettes. He supports local school and sports fundraisers and hosts a pet food drive for local shelters during the holidays.
