Our doctors, Dr. Moffett and Dr. Walley, are trained, board-certified orthodontists. Orthodontists are dentists who go on to pursue further education. Out of 100 dental school graduates, on average, only six go on to become orthodontists.
Your doctor will review your photos and X-rays to determine the best way to treat your unique orthodontic needs. Then youll choose the type of braces you wanttraditional metal, clear ceramic, or Invisalign.
Gone are the days of painful headgear, clunky bands on every tooth, and overly tight stainless steel wires. Today's orthodontic treatment is much more comfortable than it used to be. This is because of shape-memory NiTi wires.
With the same technology that NASA uses, NiTi wires exert a continuous force against the teeth to move them in the right direction. This gets rid of the need for wire tightening. This means you spend less time in braces, and the time you do spend is more comfortable.

While in dental school, Dr. Moffett served as dental class president for four years and received numerous achievements including the J. Julius Ratliff Orthodontic Award, Pierre Fauchard Leadership Award, and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists Award.
In 2015, Dr. Moffett was accepted as one of four residents to the Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics Residency at the University of Tennessee in Memphis, TN. Dr. Moffett spent three additional years training at UT, and he graduated with both his orthodontic certificate and Masters of Dental Science Degree.
When Dr. Moffett is not at the office, he enjoys spending time with his family, hunting (especially bowhunting), fishing, camping, and exercising. They are members at Pear Orchard Presbyterian Church and stay active at their church and childrens school.
Dr. Walley attended Co-Lin Community College, followed by Mississippi College, where he received a Bachelors of Science Degree. He attended dental school at the University of Tennessee and worked as a general dentist in Mississippi for four years after graduation.
Dr. Walley and his wife then moved to St. Louis, MO for him to specialize in orthodontics at St. Louis University. After receiving a Masters Degree in Orthodontics, he returned to Mississippi and opened his orthodontic practice in Jackson in 1980.
An esteemed member of the dental community, Dr. Walley is a board-certified Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and an active member in many leading dental and orthodontic organizations, including the American and Southern Association of Orthodontists.
Away from the office, Dr. Walley enjoys traveling, going to car shows, and restoring classic Corvettes. He supports local school and sports fundraisers and hosts a pet food drive for local shelters during the holidays.

I only had to go to one consultation! It was quick. And my appointment got booked a week later!! You usually have to wait 3 + weeks for an appointment. And they're super nice

I had been going to Dr. Walley for 3 years and they were absolutely amazing. They fixed my smile and they really treated me wonderfully the entire time I was going there. Now it's been 7 years, I just broke my retainer and I had to go back and I see that they are still doing a great job with their service and attitude.

Fantastic service. Best Environment. 150% Professional. Wonderful Family Staff! If you want an ortho-facility with the best dental knowledge and connections, look no more. I have utilize all of the services and asked all of the hard questions. This place checks out 100+%. Today, I experienced a staff member going out of her way to walk a 78 yr old lady to her home a mile away from the facility. This let me know I was in the right place. The staff and the doctor care! Btw, Dr. Moffett knows his patients by name. He is very skilled at getting you the smile you want and very honest about progression and dental needs.
