We know that our office is only as effective and welcoming as the people who work in it, which is why we take pride in our friendly, well-trained team members! We put your needs first to achieve efficient and comprehensive treatment in a supportive, nurturing environment. We promise to speak candidly with you about possible treatments as well as any risks and associated costs of treatment, and how treatment can address your individual needs.

Our staff has many years of orthodontic experience. Our orthodontic assistants are certified in Expanded Duty Dental Assisting, radiography and CPR. Some have attended LSU Dental School for a dental assisting degree. We stay abreast of the latest in technology and advances by regularly attending continuing education courses and seminars.

Dr. Moffetts treatment philosophy for quality orthodontics begins with the temporomandibular joint (TMJ). The TMJ is the most complex joint system in the body. It is the only joint system where two joints have to work together in harmony and both joints have two distinct motions, rotation and translation. There are also 32 teeth with fossa and incline planes that affect how and where the joints close.

Most orthodontists today diagnosis their cases by where the teeth fit. This does not take into account any functional shift of the lower jaw. Dr. Moffett firmly believes the starting point for the diagnosis should be the seated position of the joint. Quality orthodontics is about establishing functional occlusion with the joints in place.
