An intraoral camera is an indispensable diagnostic and educational tool. The tiny video camera moves around inside of your mouth and generates a tooth by tooth video exam of your teeth. Using an intraoral camera allows patients to better understand their dental needs by seeing what the dentist sees and then having it explained.
Lasers are a non-surgical approach to arresting the progression of periodontal disease. Following scaling and root planing, a laser is used to significantly reduce the bacterial colonies and decontaminate the infected periodontal pocket. Lasers also remove the infected tissue lining the periodontal pocket. As the infected tissue is removed, microscopic blood clots form and your body's natural healing response takes over. As you heal, the tissue reattaches to the bone and your gums return to a healthy infection-free state.

The overall experience was great! Very friendly staff who made this a seamless process. Dr. Bronika and Dr. Simel are both amazing at what they do. It seemed like a snap of a finger and my wisdom teeth were gone. Thank you Modesto Smiles!

Dentist does not listen to what the patient has to say. Top denture fits okay but changed my bit. Have never been able to wear the bottom for more than a few hours without pain. Went back 3 times, they just kept shaving them down, never got them to fit. Oh they charged my insurance every time I went in the office.

Zero stars if possible. Front desk girl doesn't know what she's doing and seems lost. Talked to her on the phone and she told me their scheduling system is different online for booking appointments. I booked twice online and it was canceled last minute because someone took my scheduled date. (What? That doesn't make any sense!) Did not give me any notice of cancelation (I called the day before to confirm and found out). She then told me, with a snobby high-school attitude, that call-ins for an appointment gets first dibs. So that means if I were to booked an appointment online last week and someone else calls-in today can take my scheduled date and time? Yes, yes they can. Save yourself the headache and don't even bother dealing with this dentistry. Find yourself a better office that knows how to do something simple like scheduling an appointment. What a waste of time.

Made an appointment on their website, Andrea called me to confirm my appointment, advised yes confirmed. I asked for time off work for appointment. I was then advised that their website shouldn't have let me make an appointment and they wanted to reschedule. I asked to speak with supervisor. I spoke with Sergio, he was no help. Waiting for call back from his supervisor Matthew however to this point service has been really poor.

Received voicemail to confirm appointment, I called back to confirm my appointment the day before I was supposed to go in for my appointment. I spoke with Sergio, he put me on hold for 15 minutes since he advised he was the only one at the front desk assisting other customers. I understood and stayed on the line, when he finally had time he advised my appointment was given to someone else since I didn't call back right away. I was out of town and didn't see my message right away. They didn't care about that. Horrible customer service.

I could not be happier with my first visit to Modesto Smiles Dentistry and Dr. Ato! Her and the Modesto Smiles staff are friendly, professional and first class. I experienced this right from the start with Ashley, who confirmed my appointment and made sure they had everything needed, in order to make my first visit there, seamless. Sergio did an incredible job explaining the costs, charges and options, based on the work they would be doing. He ensured that there was a mutual understanding of the costs and charges and was extremely patient, walking my wife and I through all of it. When it came to taking the images, Mauro made sure I was aware of everything he would be doing and went above and beyond explaining the images and the process. When I finally got into the chair with Dr. Ato, she was awesome. She was gentle and explained everything she would be doing (and after a bad experience the last time I was in a Dentist chair with another Dentist, this was very much appreciated). Dr. Ato was assisted by Javiar, who like the rest of the staff, was first class and friendly. I rarely give a review to sny organization, let alone a 5 star review to one. But Dr. Ato and her staff earned this review. I wholeheartedly recommend Modesto Smiles Dentistry for anyone needing Dentistry service. You won't be disappointed !!

Needed to be seen since my permanent retainer broke. And hard to eat. Explained my family situation right now, and they scheduled an apt for me. They called the next day to say they had a cancelation. They are the best. I was able to get it fixed. Teeth xrays, and teeth cleaned all in the same day. Not to mention a well needed crown. Thank you so much !! Love the dr Bronika Ato. She is the bomb giggity. !!! Along w all staff

I didn't have a great experience. I had an appointment, and unfortunately I wasn't able to make it. I didn't have the time to call and cancel properly, but figured "no big deal, I'll call and reschedule." I acknowledged that I should've called, but I just didn't have time. I call back the following day to schedule another appointment, and the lady I spoke with was extremely rude, saying that she noticed on my record that I've missed multiple appointments (when it was just one) and how they take their appointments very seriously. I explained to her that it wasn't intentional, and I genuinely just didn't have time to call. I don't know maybe I'm in the wrong, but one would think sometimes there just isn't time to cancel properly. I didn't feel like going after that.

This place has excellent customer service. Doctors are very professional and really make you feel comfortable and in great hands. The only reason why I don't give more stars is because I was left in my room for 45 min with out a visit or an update on when I would have my cleaning. Overall I spend 2 hours for a regular cleaning. Also I was not given a thank you packet. You know... when they give you a bag with tooth brush. Travel size tooth paste and floss. I know is not much but that must on your way out of a dental office. It is expected anyways.

Extremely professional and friendly. The Doctor explained my X-rays and what was needed.The receptionist was very knowledgeable friendly and went over my treatment plan and insurance coverage. The office well decorated very clean and inviting. I can say I went for a Dental check up and it was a pleasure!Thank You Modesto Smiles

I haven't seen a dentist in well over a year since the pandemic started and went in for a cleaning. Turns out my gums were not in very good shape. I decided to pay a bit more to get that situation under control. Let's see what happens in 6 months. So far the staff and Dr. Ato made me feel welcome and were very nice and accommodating. The friendly environment made the experience great. Highly recommend!

I was convinced to come here for the reviews alone. Glad I did! I personally haven't been to a dentist in almost 10 years due to childhood trama. Dr. Alan did a great job! I had my first appointment at this office today and honestly I didn't know what to expect...but I can say it was an AMAZING experience. The staff was professional, knowledgeable and kind. They explained the process every step of the way. Dr. Bronika Ato and her assistant Javier went up and beyond with my care and I left there very happy with the service I received!!
