After proudly serving his country for 10 years in the United States Navy, Dr. Hutto is a dedicated surgeon in the Modesto community, directing trauma and medical support services at several large local hospitals.
Our practice offers a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery services including dental implant placement, wisdom teeth and non-restorable tooth removal, bone grafting, impacted canine tooth exposure, pre-prosthetic surgery, diagnosis and treatment of oral and facial pathology, orthognathic and reconstructive jaw surgery, facial trauma management, evaluation of TMJ & facial pain disorders and treatment for obstructive sleep apnea.
Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery is an internationally recognized surgical specialty which requires 4-6 additional years of hospital-based surgical and anesthesia training after graduation from dental school. These specialty surgeons treat a wide spectrum of diseases including injuries, pathology and defects in the head, neck, face, jaws and the hard and soft tissues of the oral and facial regions.
Additionally, Dr. Hutto has successfully completed the rigorous American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons (ABOMS) written and oral certification process designed specifically to foster excellence and encourage learning in the promotion of the delivery of superior health care.
Patients are often referred by their dentists, physicians or other specialists to an oral surgeon when oral and facial surgical evaluation and treatment are needed. This reflects strongly on the high ethical standards of your health-care providers and demonstrates a dedicated commitment to you and your families. As part of their residency and continued education, our doctor prides himself on excellence with his outpatient anesthesia techniques ensuring safe, efficient and comfortable IV Conscious Sedation or General Anesthesia delivery while expertly completing the needed surgical procedures.
While the majority of the surgical treatments are carefully and conveniently completed in our comfortable office setting, Dr. Hutto maintains hospital privileges at Doctors Medical Center of Modesto and Memorial Medical Center for required outpatient procedures. With significant training and experience in managing a wide array of facial injuries, Dr. Hutto actively participates in several hospitals facial trauma call schedules.

After graduating from UC San Diego in 1995, Dr. Hutto proudly continued a long family history of United States Navy service receiving a Health Professions Scholarship to attend the prestigious University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. Four years, four professional degrees (between Dr. Hutto and his wife, Caroline) and two children later, the Hutto clan started their military adventure at Camp Pendleton, CA, where he successfully completed an AEGD dental internship and served as a general dental officer.
Under the rewarding mentorship of several US Navy surgeons, Dr. Hutto caught the surgery bug and was accepted into the very competitive civilian Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Residency program at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas, TX. After four years, another son, and many surgical cases later, Dr. Hutto and family set sail for a four-year assignment in beautiful and historic Okinawa, Japan. During this tour, Dr. Hutto was specially selected for a 5-month deployment on the USS Mercy, with medical humanitarian missions in the Philippines, Vietnam, East Timor, Papua New Guinea and Micronesia.
Dr. Hutto was honorably discharged after 10 years of distinguished military service and joined the private practice of three spectacular doctors at Spokane Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in Spokane, WA. While participation on a regional cleft lip/palate team as well as a fast-paced maxillofacial surgery trauma organization proved rewarding, the call of a solo practice brought Dr. Hutto back to California.
When not caring for patients, youre most likely to find Dr. Hutto at one of his childrens baseball, softball or soccer events. He and Caroline enjoy sports, outdoor activities, traveling, learning, teaching, reading and rooting for the San Francisco Giants and 49ers.

Amazing!! If it were possible to do 10/10 I would. I am far beyond please with everything. I scheduled a consultation to have wisdom teeth removed and was a bit scared. Let's be real here for a moment most of us suffer from some sort of PTSD when it comes to dentists (I've had some bad experiences). The initial consultation was a breeze, everyone was very welcoming, as well as very knowledgeable. I knew in that consultation that this was the practice I wanted to have my procedure done at. I met Dr. Hutto the first visit, then soon after that we scheduled my surgery date. The day came around and everything went ever so smoothly, granted I was sedated so I have no idea what went down lol... The office did call a few hours later to check-in, also a few days later. Would I recommend Dr. Hutton and his team? Absolutely, a million times over. When you find a keeper you do not let go, and I have my keeper with Dr. Hutto and his team !!

I came to see Dr.Hutto to get an implant placed. From the moment we walked through the door it was a pleasant experience. Dr.Hutto was very knowledgeable and explained everything in great detail to us in terms we could understand as well. We are very happy and please with the treatment and implant placement. So much so that I will continue to refer my family to this office because they are caring and trustworthy.

I am posting this on behalf of my husband. He has an extreme fear of dentists and this is why we went to Dr. Hutto. After thousands of dollars spent on implants and months of healing, my husband was told by Dr. Hutto that the implants had healed fine and he was ready for the abutments. Thank God we found a reputable dentist who told us the truth! One of the implants was not supported by anything, despite having paid Dr. Hutto for a bone graft. The dentist who was to put in the abutment refused to do it because he said it would fail. He told my husband the implant needs to be removed, and that a bone graft would be necessary as well. After healing, he would place a new implant and abatement. In addition to all the pain my husband now has to go through, Dr. Hutto refuses to acknowledge he did anything wrong, even though he told us the abutment "looked good". We now have to pay $6,000 to have the implant removed- this is after we paid Dr. Hutto over $2,000 to put it in. DO NOT TRUST THIS DENTIST.

Dr Hutto & his assistants really make sure you are comfortable the entire time. Even with my dental phobia & anxiety I was relaxed& felt taken care of. I definitely had a far better experience than the last oral surgeon I went to. If I could give you 10 STARS I definitely would. I very highly recommend this office for any Extractions

The Treatment I received from Dr. Hutto was beyond Amazing. He is a Phenomenal Oral Surgeon with a Great Demeanor and Does Incredible Work. His Staff was Extremely Professional and His Dental Assistants were Courteous and Caring. I would Highly recommend!

I would give 0 stars. Nothing against Brian K. Hutto, but only the help staff. They make you believe your insurance will take care of it. They call your insurance to confirm and then they inform you it's covered at a certain percentage. Then 3 months later you receive a bill for $200. Since I didn't continue treatment, I feel they try and get their money one way or another. People like that speak to you all nice and proper when they're receiving your money, but once you're not a patient, they speak with you with the slightest ounce of respect. Good day.

Went here today for infected implant consult. Wow! I complain a lot and it shocks me that this clinic exceeded my expectations. The staff including Dr. Hutto have the greatest customer service. From registration to initial interview, to the actual consultation to billing inquiry everybody blew me away! I felt valued and respected in this clinic. The estimate they gave made sure that I get the most discount and the lady worked with me through the complicated process of codes and insurance issues. I highly recommend this clinic. If you need any "orthodontic" consult from your primary, INSIST on Dr. Hutto!

First of all I have nothing negative to say in regards to Dr. Hutto himself and his abilities. My negative review is in regards to his billing staff. They are awful and uninformed regarding "piggy back" dental insurance and will do absolutely nothing to correct their error. Our daughter recently went in for oral surgery. We have dental insurance plus an additional piggy back insurance. The billing office stated that would send the bill to our piggy back, but we had to pay the cost of what our dental insurance did not cover in the amount of $1200. It has been over three months and Dr. Hutto's medical billing staff has done ABSOLUTELY nothing, and we are still waiting for them to bill so we can have them (Dr. Hutto's office) reimburse us the $1200 we initially paid. Basically they are crooks, and their medical billing department is extremely unethical and lacks intergrity!!!!!!!

I went in and had to have a tooth pulled- I found everyone in the office to be very professional and very personable. I had dual insurance coverage and everything was taken care of before I had to go in that day. I would recommend this office and Dr.Hutto to anyone who needed this type of care!
