Dr. Maggie Sharfae graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center Dental School at San Antonio in 1999. She then completed an advanced post-doctorate training in General Practice Residency program at the VA Medical Center in Indianapolis. She has clinical dental experience since 1997 and is a former clinical assistant professor at Indiana University School of Dentistry. Dr. Sharfae advocates Preventive and esthetic dental care in a friendly and relaxed setting for all patients. She maintains an active presence in the dental community and is a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, and the Capital Area Dental Society.
Dr. Benjamin Sharfae graduated from Indiana university school of dentistry in 2001. He has clinical dental experience since 1999 and also is a former clinical and pre-clinical instructor at Indiana university school of dentistry. Dr. Benjamin Sharfae advocates Preventive and esthetic dental care in a friendly and relaxed setting for all patients. He maintains an active presence in the dental community and is a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, and the Capital Area Dental Society. Drs. Maggie and Benjamin Sharfae met during their early education in 1992 in Houston, Texas. Having a common goal of becoming dentists brought them close and they hit it right off. They both come from a family of dentists, so the topic of dentistry is always a hot one at family gatherings. They have two wonderful children and a small dog. When they are not in the office attending to their patients, Drs. Maggie, Benjamin and their children enjoy jogging, Kayaking and paddle boarding on Lady Bird Lake, swimming , Hikingon Enchanted Rock, Barton Creek and many other outdoor activities that our beautiful central Texas has to offer. Both doctors and their wonderful staff are dedicated to their field and continue to strive to provide the best dental care in a relaxing and comfortable environment. Drs. Maggie and Benjamin provide a wide range of dental services including but not limited to Cosmetic Dentistry, Implant dentistry, Invisalign (Clear braces), and One day implant supported dentures. They provide dental care for patients of all ages. They stay up-to-date with all new sciences and technology in order to serve their patients better.
Cynthia was born and raised in Austin, Texas. She graduated from Everest Institute in 2010 and completed her externship with us in 2011. She enjoys working with patients of all ages and is dedicated to helping them have a healthier smile.
Carol was born and raised in Austin, Texas. She is married and has two young daughters. On her free time she enjoys being outdoors with her family and listening to live music. Carol graduated from Allied Health Careers in 2007 with a certificate in Dental Assisting. She has been working as a Dental Assistant and Front Office for 8 years. Her goal is to make your visit to our office as comfortable and stress free from the moment she first interacts with you.
Angela graduated with a certificate in Dental Assisting from Allied Health Careers in May of 2004. She joined our team and has has been working with Drs. Benjamin and Maggie Sharfae since 2006. Angela was born in Michigan but has lived most her life in Austin. She has two young daughters.
Lina grew up in Lithuania and she moved to Austin in 2000 .She earned an Associates in Applied Science Dental Hygiene degree at Austin Community College in 2011 and she has been practicing dental hygienist since then .Lina is passionate about patient education and helps our patients to achieve a healthy smile. She believes that prevention is the best medicine and thrives to provide the educational and home care to all her patients and enjoys building long term relationships with the patients.Lina enjoys outdoor activities and spending time with her husband and two children.
Daphne joined our team as an intern in October 2020. After graduating from Austin Dental School as a Registered Dental Assistant in November of 2020, Daphnes passion to provide patients with high quality dental service prompted her permanent hire. Daphne is an Austinite at heart, having lived here her whole life after being born in Lewisville, TX. Daphne enjoys working out and running in her free time.

My husband and I have been patients of the Doctors Sharfae for well over 10 years. The entire staff is amazing. Kind, gentle, attentive, communicative, informative, knowledgeable, and yes Modern! They are always on top of new tech. Everything you ever wanted in a dentists office.

I needed to remove a very old crown and get a new one in. Dr. Maggie did an amazing job not only saved my tooth which had a lot of cavity after 20 years under crown but the whole process happened so smooth and fast that I couldn't believe it when they said you're done. Didn't feel even a pinch of the needle, She used a special scanner for molding and didn't put any gummy stuff in my mouth to cause gagging, no pain and before I knew it I had a temporary crown installed in my moth and walked out.

Modern Family Dentistry is an excellent dental practice. Everyone there is personable and capable. The Dentists, Drs. Maggie and Benjamin Sharfae, are uniquely qualified, competent professionals. Great place!! During the peak of the pandemic, I couldn't go to my previous dentist (not Modern Family Dentistry). Things got bad. However, I decided to restart my dentist visits after I was vaccinated assuming all providers would surely be vaccinated. To my shock, they were not. This is when I switched to Modern Family Dentistry they were the only office in South Austin where all the hygienists and docs were vaccinated. I love their cleanliness. I love the fact that they call me in case they are running late. Been very happy with them!!

Modern Family Dentistry is awesome. One of my crowns came off yesterday because of my bubble gum chewing. They worked me into their schedule immediately and took care of my tooth. They staff is very friendly and professional. The Sharfaes are talented dentists, who use the latest in equipment and procedures.
