Dr. Szymanski attended Michigan State University for her undergraduate degree where she double majored in nutritional science and Spanish. She then moved to the east side of the state to study dental medicine at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry. She is a member of the American Dental Association and Michigan Dental Association.
Dr. Szymanski values every patients comfort. She believes in connecting on a personal level and building trust to effectively support and motivate patients to take control of their oral health and achieve their smile goals.
Jauna was born and raised here in Grand Haven, where she is a proud resident. Jauna started her dental career off young, when she was in high school. She took classes through the Career Line Tech Center to further explore her interest in dental.
Jauna has been working as a dental assistant ever since, and couldn?t see herself doing anything else. She loves connecting with her patients, especially those who have also grown up here in Grand Haven. Her kind smile and bubbly personality is absolutely contagious and known to put her patients at ease.
Away from work, Jauna spends much of her time with her husband Gregory, who she has been married to for 6 wonderful years. She and her husband also have two dogs, named Peaches and Harley, that mean the world to them. They love to be outdoors, whether hiking, biking, kayaking, hanging out at the beach, or even just casually sitting in the sun. Jauna, Gregory, and the dogs definitely make sure to take in the beautiful scenery of Grand Haven.

I've had the worst dental anxiety forever, been ignoring my cavities for the last 10 years and was terrified to find out I needed a root canal. Dr Szymanski did an amazing job, she communicated everything beforehand, was so skilled with numbing (I've had issues with numbing before), she took her time without wasting time if that makes sense, and made sure at every point I was as comfortable as I could be. It was such a great experience for what I thought was going to be an awful procedure. I look forward to finishing my care plan with her and being cavity free!

If I could give this place zero stars, I would! Actually sad because I visited a ferw times LAST year...loved the office and staff and dentist. Excellent experience at the time, and here comes the BUT!!! Here we are almost a year later and I am now receiving new bills! At time of service, each visit, I paid the amounts due...no clue where this new bill comes from and no responses from them. Absolutely ridiculous...so great service at the time, just beware of what happens down the road.

Very gentle, and patient and kind staff there. Amazing service, and no judgment. Great place to go especially if you have a fear of dentist, they make you feel very relaxed and take it slow.

The best dentist I've ever had! They are super gentle, & my anxiety about going to the dentist is very minimal, because they make it better! Trust me when I say this, I've had a lot of dental work done here & between the friendly faces & smiles, my experience here has been outstanding. Everyone here is absolutely wonderful!!!

All the ladies in the office are amazing! I wasn't a patient, had a dental emergency and they fit me right in immediately. I was made to feel comfortable and everything was explained to me in an understandable manner. I would highly recommend them to anyone!

I trust Dr. Szymanski with my dental needs so much that I make the drive from Grand Rapids where I originally met her. She, the staff and the office itself are all top notch. It's in the name. Dr. Szymanski has treated us like family. My lady is very ill and Dr. Szymanski was able to make her feel comfortable enough to come out and be seen. She was able to offer options that are best suited to someone in her position. She's very understanding, kind and generous. I was offered the nitrous option for a root canal for the first time which made that much better. Staff helped me figure out an option to make our care more affordable. Office is new, clean and eco friendly. It's by far and away the best experience I've ever had with a dentist.

Dr. Szmasnski and her staff helped me repair a broken tooth and put on a new crown. She is very caring and a great dentist. Her staff are all amazing as well. I am grateful for all they did for me in my time of need. I will be back for routine care as well. I gladly recommend this practice.

I recently established care at Modern Family Dental. Switching dentists is challenging. Dr. Szymanski and her staff clearly strive for the best care and comfort during your visit. I observed Dr. Szymanski with a pediatric patient and she was extremely warm, patient, understanding, and comforting.

Wonderful staff and SUPER clean facility. I was thinking I would like it for myself but to honest wasn't sure how it would go with my 5 year old daughter since it's not technically a kids dentist office but let me tell you the entire staff was great with her! Highly recommend for both kids and adults!!!
