Being a dentist is a dream come true and every day Im thankful to be able to do what I love. Its an honor to be able to work with children, young adults, and adults in the RVA area to help them achieve the smile they want and deserve. Dr. Nate Armistead grew up in Richmond, Virginia. He attended Dickinson College for his undergraduate studies where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Later, he earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Virginia Commonwealth University, where he graduated with awards for leadership in community service through the Mission of Mercy project and awards for distinction in removable prosthodontics. He continues to serve Virginia during his second term on the Virginia Dental Association Foundation board of directors and is a member of the American Dental Association.

Dr. William Wang earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry in Richmond, Virginia. Dr. Wang strives to know all his patients and provide individualized, personalized care.

Dr. Paul Chung grew up in Northern Virginia. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry at Virginia Tech. Dr. Chung went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from NYU College of Dentistry.

After graduating from NYU, Dr. Chung came back to Virginia and found comfort in the Richmond area. Outside of the dental office, Dr. Chung enjoys hiking and travelling with his wife, hoping to explore the world before settling down to have kids. He also enjoys playing the piano.

Sketchy. Long wait. Incorrectly diagnosed me with a cavity and told me insurance wouldn't cover it (it would have). I wouldn't trust this place.

Front desk customer service is horrible, they give you an dental plan and a week later don't recall they gave it to you. No sense of urgency. I don't feel warm and fuzzy when going there I feel like I'm a car dealership with salesman. I recently went to a different dentist. It's to many dentists for someone to tolerate such poor service

This place is just unprofessional to me. And the girl who cleaned my husband's teeth, seemed like she just didn't want to be at work. No professionalism AT ALL. Didn't see the dentist, but I do know they need a new staff if they want to remain open. Professionalism goes a long way. The staff comes in the door as patients are sitting and don't even speak or acknowledge you are there. Smh

I was referred to this place by a good friend of mine, and after the rotating staff, I was absolutely dissatisfied. I went in for a clean and let me say the tools were dirty, there was still blood from the previous patient on them and I had to stop them from having the audacity to bring it near me. They rushed on my clean and barely polished my teeth. I was told by one doctor that everything looked fine and as i was leaving i was stopped by the dental assistant and was told a needed an x-ray (after my visit was over). Another doctor comes in and tells me i have a root canal and it needed to be removed asap. 3,000 to remove and another few thousands to replace it. MIND you, i had no discomfort or pain. I took it upon myself and took a picture of MY x-ray and went for a second opinion else where and guess what? NO ROOT CANAL, NO CAVATIES, NO ISSUES!! I just knew he was lying, i felt it in my spirit that it was a lie. They just want money and pull teeth out just to get money. I have left this place and will never return. Not to mention, I referred my sister and they treated her horribly!!!

Who needs a wisdom tooth taken out on July 4th weekend.... Me lol I called everywhere this was the only place to answer. Called at 11:30 got there at 12 told them I can't leave with my tooth like this. They didn't hesitate to take it out. I was in and out before they closed at 2 and they were so nice and helpful. That's the kind of service everyone should have. So glad I found them

This place is HORRIBLE!!!' I made an appointment and the person took the time to have me go through all my insurance information. I get to the appointment and they tell me no insurance information was put in! They can't verify it because whoever took my information didn't bother to put it in and it's Saturday. They proceed to call everyone who came after me to the back. by the time I was called back I walk past the people called before me who no one was working on! I left this place Don't waste your time!

This dental practice should not be allowed to remain open for patients. I went for an emergency visit,they took my x-ray,of course because I have great insurance,only for a child to tell me what was going on.I had to request to see a dentist,otherwise,I wouldn't have seen one,he never examined my mouth,he only gave me a prescription and got very rude with me. They call you a million times begging you to come in for their services,they list my file from years ago etc. I do not recommend this dental office to anyone!!!

Update as of 4/2022, this has been resolved. I want to thank, The staff for finally hearing my side and understanding. The young lady sitting as y'all enter, I want thank her for being so nice to me. The 2 young's that was making the mold, thanks for being funny n friendly with me. We had fun. The office mrg was nothing but sincere. She was patient, polite n caring. I don't know if this the same staff I've been talking to for the last 2 mths, if it is I want to thank y'all for utmost turn around, if not thanks to the New Staff for a JOB WELL DONE....the location 7410 Hull Street Road, Suite 101 owes me $200 that they say, can't be given to me because it's been too long. Where on earth you keep a person money. It was money told I had to put down before they could start work on my mouth that was due to a workers comp injury. I don't care how long it's been, if I owed them they would want their money, so why can't they give me my money back???? It would be sitting in collections if I owed them. This started back in 2015 and we are in 2021 and noone will refund my money. I don't have the mouth guard, worker's comp wasn't even called from my understanding to pay or anything. The mouth guard is sitting somewhere in there office has been for 5 1/2 yrs. Everytime I tried to get helped up until this year, I Was inconvenience by different people each time. The person that was trying help me was let go inn2015 and what happened to the other's is a mystery. GIVE ME MY $200 is all want. I have a letter that say they will refund my money from 2015 but they want honor it. The manager i talked to this year was not so nice, pretty much told me it's too late get my money back. Everytime I ask for corporate office number that's a no no, when ask for someone about the mrg at front, she be in tomorrow, she's out to lunch or she's call you back now to this happens and I start the calling all over in two days. haven't called in awhile, I will because I don't have money just to give away. Plus they have the guard. Be mindful when y'all have worker's comp. Call them first ask them do you have to pay money down. Because bi found out afterwards I didn't have to, what was their reason behind asking me to pay. I have speculated this and I see a change to the flyer..what an effort to take the attention awaY....I JUST WANT MY $200. Update as of 4/2022 this has been resolved.

If you were to ask me I'd say to go somewhere else! I went there for a checkup and a cleaning. First, I will say everyone was very pleasant, no complaints there. The cleaning job was horrible. Two people shared the cleaning job. The first person did the scraping part then the next person did the flossing and polishing. Flossing, if you can call it that, he didn't floss down to my gums. He just went in-between my teeth a very small amount. Polishing, he only polished the inside side of my teeth, never touched the outside side! The dentist barely looked in my mouth when he came in. After two hours of being there, I just got up and left. No one seemed to notice. I had full insurance coverage so there is no reason for the lack of quality service. I recommend you go somewhere else!

Wasn't good all I'm going to say,! 2 different dentists both times I went and I got 2 different answers. Super long wait times also. You make an appointment and boom 5 others right at the same time. 5 phone calls to tell me about the appointment along with txts I. Found that annoying. Just awful I'm not going back. Also after I had a tooth removed I hurt for damn near a week.

Absolute worst dentist office I've ever had to deal with. They NEVER return my calls. When they do answer they use profanity and hang up on me. Don't even think about contacting them through the website. They'll ignore it. I paid over $4500 two years ago and they've done about $3000 worth of work.

I had a 2:00 p.m. appointment to get my teeth cleaned. At 2:30 p.m. I decided to leave ..., as I was leaving a technician offered to "knock me out right quick". Naturally I declined, poor professionalism and the comment seemed like I would get a rush job to appease me. They keep trying to see if you want to get work done and if you tell them no they just have you waiting even longer. After being a patient for 6+ years, I have noticed a drastic decline in there services and cleanliness. It's apparent the management has no concern for patients, cleanliness of the Facility or professionalism of the staff. They just want your money!!!! Not only am I making my comments on line, I will be contacting the Health Department to complain about the sanitation procedures or lack of. In their current condition, a rating of even 1 star is to much.

Avoid this dentistry at ALL COST! My husband got a bridge placed by them in 2019 it fell out 2 years later!!! They didn't try to make it right , repair it in any way. I've had my bridge placed my Dr. Perkinson for over 15 years: still intact. If you want quality, excellent service, and integrity you will not find it at Modern Dentistry. Go see Dr. Baxter Perkinson.

One of the worst dental offices that I've ever been. I spent over 2k here on multiple procedures only to have them botched to come back and spend more money. Never come here if you want to keep your teeth.

Customer service sucks. It's crazy especially when you've paid over 3g out of pocket already. I wasn't greeted by the lady at the front desk. She was with a Customer so I waited for her. She only asked me for my first name and that was it.

very good cleaning that they offer but they have to improve the time. That is what appointments are supposed to be for, if it is at an exact time at that time they should attend the person. It lasted more than 30 min and it has not been attended yet

I have been here with my husband for his appointment since 1040am for a 11am appointment. It is now 313pm and he is still waiting in the back to get his teeth pulled. Receptionist states he is waiting on the dentist and don't know how much longer it will be. Then offered for us to come back when they have already numbed his mouth. The only thing they have done was take x-rays. This is the worst service that I have ever had in my life. Never again. A whole day at a dentist appointment is ridiculous.
