Dr. Mark Edington grew up in Las Vegas, graduating from Valley High School in 1992. He then began his college education at Brigham Young University, taking two years out of his college years to volunteer as an LDS missionary in the Dominican Republic where he became fluent in Spanish. After graduating Brigham Young in 1998, he immediately enrolled at the prestigious Creighton University Medical Center where he received his D.D.S. (Doctor of Dental Surgery) degree in 2002. Following one year in Arizona working with a large clinic associated with the Lutheran Medical Center dental residency program, Dr. Edington returned to Las Vegas to be close to his family.
Dr. Edington spent the next 5 years directing dental care at multiple Las Vegas area clinics. It was always Dr. Edingtons dream to build a modern dental practice in his own community with the latest advances in dentistry. Beginning in 2006, he carefully designed and equipped our first office to provide extraordinary care for residents and visitors of Las Vegas. In 2016, after 10 years at 700 E. Silverado Ranch Blvd., Dr. Edington moved the practice just around the corner to our new convenient and beautiful location in the Albertson's / 24hr Fitness Silverado Ranch parking lot at Silverado Ranch and Maryland Pkwy. Modern Dental Care continues to carry out Dr. Edingtons mission to provide the highest quality dental care to the community he grew up in.
Dr. Edington has advanced training and certification in providing Anxiety Free Dentistry and is a member of D.O.C.S. (Dental Organization for Concious Sedation). He is a Premier Provider for Invisalign (Invisible Braces) with more experience than any other general dentist in the South Las Vegas area, Lumineers (ultra-thin porcelain veneers) trained, and is a certified Visilite (oral cancer screening) provider. Also, we are proud of his affiliation with the Academy of General Dentistry, the premiere organization for general dentists. Most recently, Dr. Edington has become a CEREC dentist, providing same day porcelain restorations with the amazing CEREC milling machine.
When Dr. Edington is not taking care of patients, his personal interests outside of dentistry include swimming with the Henderson Masters Swim Team and cycling with friends. He loves to spend time outdoors and grow vegetables in his yard - he is currently growing a monster pumpkin! Additionally, Dr. Edington is passionate about traveling and spending time with his wife. He and his wife, Jenny Lynne, recently added the newest addition to the Edington Family, their second son, Alec.

I had a great experience as a new client at Dr. Edington,'s office I got my very first crown and also an additional filling. One and done! Crown completed in one visit! Looks great, works great, I recommend Dr. Mark Edington.

I don't just throw around 5 star ratings but I have nothing but the best to say about Modern Dental Care. I've been seen there several times over several years and had cleanings, fillings and crown work done. Throughout every appointment the entire process was professional and courteous and every staff member held up the very high standards maintained here. I can also say from personal experience that they will go further than necessary to help you with scheduling challenges and to help keep costs as low as possible on required work without going overboard on recommending cosmetic procedures. However, I should add here that the communication style in this office is not sugar coated. They are professionals who have their opinion and are direct in expressing it. When that opinion isn't necessarily what I want to hear, it can be challenging. In the final analysis, however, what else could I want?

BEST DENTAL OFFICE IN LAS VEGAS! Modern technology, incredible staff. Dr. Edington doesn't rush you. He is very thorough and educates you. I did Invisalign and have my dream smile now I've always wanted. I actually love going to my dentist appointments. Marigold at the front desk is always warm and welcoming. No wait times. The entire staff is extremely friendly and fun. Call them. Just do it. You will not regret it.

Mandy has always be been very enthusiastic, caring and patient. Her efficiency is so evident by the way she does her work and the way she engages the patient. I grew up in a family of dentists and it's hard to find someone awesome that will treat you like your own family does

Awesome company! While out of town, I broke a tooth. Not only did they take of my dental issues, they also referred me to a specialist and everything was down quickly and professionally. Highly recommend! Tell Marigold Mike sent you!

Excellent staff haven't been to dentist in 20 years made me feel very relaxed calm actually can't wait to start going! Doctor is excellent the receptionist the manager a lady named Lori & Tammy Annesa, Mark, front receptionist I could keep going on GO THERE!!!
